Im picking up the minf flayarrs deck! First commander deck i buy but i plan on adding bruvac the grandiquolent into it so milling is going to be crazy!!!
I recommend buying every single pre-con product that comes out. They always go up in value. I get 3 of each. One to open and two to keep. Just sold an Edgar Markov vampiric bloodlust precon the other day for over $300. Not a bad $25 investment if you ask me...
I think those older ones definitely proved that true, but I’ll be curious if all these recent ones follow the same pattern - Wizards is cranking these things out, but we will see!
@@MountainManMagic It may take a few years but no precon has dipped below the "msrp" you can get them at within the first year. Even bad ones double in value in just a few years and you can always liquidate sooner if you need capital. That is a more reliable return than the stock market if you did it on a grand scale. I'm not rich but try to invest wisely so my mtg hobby isn't as expensive in the long run at least. The only way they won't continue this trend is if they reprint so many of the cards contained within a precon that it plummets. We haven't seen it get that bad yet but I'd like to see a pull back on products being released. We don't need as much product as we're getting and it would make them more special if we got a few less times a year. I stopped buying sealed boxes last year and just get singles and the precons. The growth for sealed boxes over a few years isn't as great as the precons. Who can afford to do it all is what I want to know? cough... Rudy. I guess there are people out there with disposable income that knows no bounds like him but the rest of us have to be more selective. Thanks for responding and for the content. I try to watch all your vids :)
hi, me and 3 my friends would like to enter the world of Magic, for now we don't want to spend too much so I wanted to ask you if you think these decks are good to play with each other and if they are good enough for future upgrades, thank you very much
Yes to both questions - Wizards has done a great job having the decks be strong out of the box and able to be upgraded. As long as these work for you and your friends I'd say go for it! Or, if you're going to a store or buying online, you can check for precons from the last few sets too - any precons from 2021 or 2022 would be great starting points.
Thanks for the breakdown. My buddy and I are going in on the 4 pack of Commander decks and I was most interested in Party Time and Mind Flayarrs. Can't wait to play with em!
Green is a strong choice especially with all the indestructible/protection options they're getting. And, they do have a surprising amount of card draw/win effects out there.
When I was younger I always felt blue was the strongest color but playing commander in the modern era it is undeniable that green has access to the most tools. Why did they have to make them proficient with treasures too!? they are artifacts and should be a hindrance for green if anything.
@@blaze556922 A big thing is that blue is super powerful in 1v1 but it lags in multiplayer where games are slower, and a counterspell is a net card disadvantage.
Green does all the things, especially for someone like me who loves nothing more than ramping into massive dumb stuff. That pirate horror deck looks awesome! The kind you play at the beginning of the night & certainly not after a couple adult beverages. Playing that deck after a couple drinks is going to make anyone (p-)irate. I'll stick to my day job.
Hmmm, if you want to play with it I'd say go for it! If it's more of a "is this the lowest I'll be able to buy it at?" - that's tough. Part Time seems to be the ONLY thing from CL Baldur's Gate that folks I talk with are interested in from this set...so I expect everything to go down, but this deck may go up/down/stay the same.
I'm getting the Dragon deck and HorrArrrs. My friend the other 2.
I'm so excited about these precons.
Great video as well.
I'm getting exit from exile but running the red background and wilson so I can set it up quicker and have the protection from his ward

How does this latest round of precons look to you?
Avatar of Slaughter is a reprint. It was in the Kaalia Precon

I forgot to comment a while back but I love this review and channel. I am looking forward to your future commander deck reviews for future sets. 😊👍

Imma have to go with green being the strongest color

Hahaha I love the pun! The pirate one does look good and I appreciate the flavor of the pirates too!
Found party time on Amazon with minimum package with 36€ should I get it ?

@@MountainManMagic why does everyone have so much interest in the particular precon?
Wanted dragons, went with horrors 👌
I got mindflayarrs. Seems fun. I think it could be tweaked. There are some overpriced critters in there and garruks wake costs 9!!!.
Party time all the way. Finally got to try it today, and I had a blast with it! 😁
That's awesome to hear - glad it lived up to the name haha
Bought 2 Party time, big value!
Horrors look so cool
I wish it major creatures horror pirates so we could have that sub theme
