Whoever said she sounds like "a sick victorian child who lives in a haunted house" was *dead accurate* 💀 but it's cute tho
Exactly.
naw y’all doing her dirty 💀💀💀
Accurate but not cute
lmaoo i hate the internet and its accuracy haha we love our baby mia tho
thats so funny cause she actually did the voice acting for a victorian child who lived in a haunted house💀💀💀

@@sara-mi6jg ???
@@sara-mi6jg that’s just her voice..
Never would’ve guessed that’s what she sounded like. Maxine & Pearl have deeper voices than her own natural speaking voice. This just makes me wish she’d be nominated for an Oscar even more
I love the voice she does for Maxine, deep and breathy, it's so pleasing to the ear. Wasn't expecting the actress to have a different voice in real life. Like the in character tone sounds aloof and sensual and her actual voice is super cute.

After the infinity pool trailer I want her to play Harley Quinn when they eventually haul gunns ass out of DC &just reboot the entire DCEU from scratch

i'm soooo in love with her lol she looks so much like young shelly duvall and her voice and accent are to die for
I could see that.
People say Shelly Duvall. After Pearl I say Aileen Wuornos.
@@donovan2723 I think you're thinking of Charlize Theron playing her, not Aileen herself because she isn't nearly as attractive as Mia. I can see the resemblance of Mia and Charlize in that role, I think it's the no eyebrows thing.

she would be such a good Carrie! if there is another remake We could only hope she gets the part

No more remakes I’m burnt after the Chloe mortez one
@@bowserjr.7220 they can make a new movie like they did with carrie 2..the rage..that was such a good movie
I had the same thought but I honestly think it should be different from the original Carrie. Mia Goth can do deranged and weird so well and the whole point of Carrie is she’s an innocent girl pushed too far. I think roles that really let her be the villain let her show off some of her best skills.
She deserved an Oscar for Pearl. It’s a performance that I’m still thinking about months later.
She is just so pretty
I Know, I wish I looked like her she has a tim burton vibe

WAIT HER VOICE IS SO CUTE WTFFFFFF
I am surprised that people are surprised that people have friction and fights on set. It’s a workplace just like any other.
Every workplace has friction from what i experienced personally or heard from family or friend’s. Managing it is what needs to be learned.
I’m surprised that you’re surprised that they’re surprised! 😃😉
I've never worked a job that was paradise people are people they aren't perfect
There should be some on set friction, guess that explains the head kicking lmao. Hope those accusations are false
wait, what?? what head kicking are you tking about?
I did not expect her to have the “please sir, can I have some more” accent at all 😂
😂 bang on with that one
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This lady should when a AWARD for the movie Pearl and the whole dam staff
I went to a performing arts high school and by the time I had the courage to try out for a play, i was cast and clashed with a male actor I had a romantic relationship with in the play. I felt so demeaned and disrespected by him. I ended up late for my performance and never was cast again in HS. Which sucks because I am a wonderful actor. Almost 20 years later and a lot of formative life experience under my belt, I want to get involved in theater again. Now as an adult I can use it as fuel to become my best me. I had very low self esteem most of my life and people used it to their advantage to feel better about themselves. This world will exploit the crap out of you if you lack confidence- be careful!
7 months since posted. Any attempts/successes in attempting theatre again ?
that's such a professional outlook! no wonder why she always performs so well. it's always a pleasure to see mia goth act 🤍
Always love watching your interviews because of how great your questions are. Another great job!
I saw the comments and her voice still surprised me, wtf it’s so adorable!!
I love this interviewer. She’s always so well prepped and asks such interesting questions. The interviewees look like they really enjoy the interaction. I saw one with Dan Stevens that was so engrossing, it was like watching friends talk.
She has a good and necessary point, an actor or actress shouldn’t just do what a director propose for the character, the actor should think about the character all the time and make proposals
My God her voice is completely different from her past two different characters, now this is great! Love this!
Sometimes it’s best not to know what an actor/actress sounds like in reality. I was not expected that. But… it does prove on what an incredible actress she really is - and I’m astonished that she hasn’t gone “mainstream” yet.
I'm British and shocked she is too. I thought she was American watching X and Pearl.... Love you girl ♥️
Literally same, she did those accents so well
Such a thoughtful question!
I think she sounds like an English or Welsh. Julie Andrews sounded like this in Mary Poppins.
@@frederickmoore5793They’re both English
Idk why people are shocked. This is her exact voice in Emma😂
I thought she put on a voice in EMMA. I didnt realize that... THATS it wow
Not everyone has seen that movie, myself included.
Not everyone has seen Emma. I’ve seen it myself, but I don’t remember much about it besides seeing it. I do remember her performances in X and Pearl and how her characters, Maxine and Pearl, have two different voices. I figured one of them had to be her “real” voice - turns out neither of them were!
The amount of people who don’t know her “real” voice shows her vocal range as an actress.
Having done theater there are times where you feel what your character is doing just isn't working even if it's what the director wants and sometimes you need that back and forth with them to discover something else or to realize that yeah it doesn't work do you have something else in mind. Many times I've brought up ideas that where received with doubt by the director but by the end they're like yeah no keep doing that don't stop.
And the times when youre wrong but stubborn?
She was amazing in Pearl
She’s the most adorable person
Why is she so cute and mysterious and British????
Very interesting conversation here. Of course since Perri is the very best interviewer in the business !
I’m from the UK - Please believe me when I tell you, we do not sound like this.
Why are ppl saying she sound cute and like a princess? I got mad scared by her voice 😳 I haven’t watched any of her movies but I can understand the hype, this voice is straight out from a horror movie character
Same, she’s creepy and sounds like a child and looks dead. Gives grimes
"Jamesyyyyyyy!!!!" 😂 she was awesome in Infinity Pool.
All I can think of is "why are you leaving me, what did I do"
“WHY DID YOU CHANGE!!!”
The movie ‘Emma’ 2020 when she and anya taylor play together, mia goth absolutely steal the scene when she appears because of her voice.
This question and answer are particularly interesting to me given the Don’t Worry Darling drama and the players involved 👀
I didn’t expect her to have a soft high sweet voice I’ve heard about her but never seen her movies she seems like a really sweet person too
I disagree that actors should have full ownership of the characters they play. Expressing ideas and opinions is fine, however just because you are playing the character doesn’t mean you suddenly own it. The person/s who created the character and story own it.
Mia goth looks like the humanoid xenomorph from alien resurrection
😂😂😂
I was not ready for her voice, whattt😭💛
Holy shit after watching x and pearl I didn’t expect that voices😭
A fantastic question for an amazing actress
I always heard her voice with the German synchronization ( I am from Germany ) … and I was shocked at first but then in love 😍
didnt she just get in trouble for kicking someone in the head on set 😭
Yup
I’m an actor and a director and this is the worst advice ever. As an actor, your process is your problem; you’re hired to bring the character to life with your skill of learning the lines and taking direction. The director was hired to bring THEIR version of the story to life. An actor can and should ask if they can offer an alternative action, and often a director will allow this. However, they have the last say, and if they’re on a tight schedule they may not acquiesce. If you consistently question the direction you’ll soon find yourself without a career.
100% agree! “Actors should have full ownership of their characters” um no?
X and Pearl are classics 👏🔥 cant wait for Maxxxine 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Just heard her speaking Brazilian Portuguese so fluently and beautiful just love her! ❤
Btw she's getting sued for purposefully kicking an extra in the head and then telling them there's nothing he can do about it.

Mia Goth - The real scream queen 👑
If this is the first time you’re hearing her voice you should check her out in Emma. She’s superb.
…suddenly I’m reminded to make sure my foundation needs to match my neck and chest.
So Mia just should have put a lot of red blush on 😂 or maybe she was anxious so her neck got red
@@sophieminter0 lol I mean I get really red too, so I’m not trying to shame. But I will say, blush wouldn’t help because it’s the undertone. Her face will still look too golden against her neck regardless of blush.
I just watched Pearl for the first time. I don't know if she was in any other movies. So this may be the first movie I watched with her in it. She did a southern accent that whole movie. I'm completely mind blown that she's not southern but british!! She's an amazing actress.
(Norm Macdonald Voice) Note to self: Kicking an extra in the head and then laughing at them ... NOT POSITIVE
Omg! I have never heard her real voice. That was more shocking than the ending of X, Pearl and Maxxxine combined lol. She is f***ing phenomenal!! Too bad Maxxxine wasnt. She deserves every award though. She is so cute and she is such a badass in her movies.
This is not aging well…
Although Charlize Theron played an amazing Aileen Wuornos - my god could you imagine Mia Goth playing her, she would knock it out the park
God her voice it's so sweet and beautiful
she kicked someone in the head on set tho
She is a amazing actress. I think it's just the same as any job is what she's implying. Think about it work we try our best to make it a positive environment and if you do it's awesome right? It's just that there's always gonna be some times when things get heated at work and you just gotta work through it and realize it's a business nothing personal
If she has the same sensitive skin as I do, i’d assume she may have been a bit nervous during the time of this interview…. whenever I get nervous my chest/neck flush like this! And oh my gosh I always forget how adorably sweet her real voice is! 🥹
same i have the worst anxiety and i hate how red my neck and chest will get 😢
The makeup ☠️☠️☠️☠️
I have never heard her non acting voice she has such a sweet voice!
This did not age well
I feel like you can really tell sometimes when an actor is just doing what the script/director tells them vs when an actor embodies the character as their own
Looks like she’s having an allergic reaction on her neck
I was wondering why her neck is so red
These are the types of questions interviewers should ask film stars !!!!!!
So beautiful
The way she spoke when voice pearl and here her real vocie is so beautiful

She DOES sound like Peppa pig 😂 i loooove it!
I highly encourage everyone on this chat to watch her monologue in "Pearl" when she is sitting at the kitchen table she delivers one of best no cut monologues I have ever seen!!!! It literally blew me away at the amount of skill this lil lady has!!!!
She's a masterclass actor just like most actors from the UK following in the footsteps of Legends like Daniel Day Lewis & Christian Bale & Idris Elba for example, it's crazy how they all can not only play American roles better than actual Americans , but they can also get into the characters in every single sense of the word & do real complicated characters with different types of "on point" American dialects & mannerisms that most real American actors can't even pull off on screen!!!! The Brit's really take they're craft extremely seriously & do a amazing job perfecting it on screen!!!!!
They should make a Horror version of Harley Quin. And use Mia… a killer-HARLEY QUIN slashing and bashing people
Awesome question I never see interviews where they ask stuff like that. Well thought out, interesting and actually related to her art!
Filmmaking is collaborative by its very nature. Director or producer or actor, people should leave their ego aside and work toward making the best film they can. That means listening to people but also being willing to try other's ideas.
Wow her soft voice does her soft face so well 💕 I love Mia
She’s absolutely charming actress, very interested in seeing her future projects
shes literally so cute and her voice is so pretty
She answered honestly 😊I respect that 20009%
You should have full ownership of your character. Oooof. That was niiiiiice nice nice. So true too. Sure, sometimes you have to change your own vision cause it clashes with the director and writer's visions and they have it all planned out, but it's such a good advice, to come in with a fully realized character. Mia's just out there spitting facts. Johnny Depp definitely approves this message
Excellent interviewer!
