More than her talent what made this movie work so well was the work both did together. Ti West gave the chance and the power for Mia to manipulate and to tell the story. Both worked together and both managed to create a beautiful film, and imho a future modern classic (trilogy).
I feel like Jenna Ortega isn’t getting enough credit, she’s literally on the cover of the movie. Mia is amazing, and I still haven’t seen Pearl yet but, hopefully Friday is good and Ortega can get a chance to show what else she can do as well.

She's a relatively new actress and has only recently been getting main roles in movies and almost all those movies were critically acclaimed...she's almost the opposite of "Underrated". I think people use that term without knowing what it means. You can't be underrated if you've just popped up on the scene.
She has such a cute voice. I didn’t realize she wasn’t American. Vocally, she reminds me of the character Cassie, from Skins, in how soft-spoken she is.

Can’t be understated the importance of what they’ve done for the industry as a whole. As much as people harp on the big studios (and rightfully so) we are still somehow in one of the golden ages of independent filmmaking and it’s because of a24.

Ti West & Mia Goth are just absolutely genius. His films are some of my fave in the genre, and I knew since Nymphomaniac that Mia was going to do great things. I had no idea her as Pearl was going to affect me so much. I am just absolutely infatuated by her talent.
That long monologue was powerful. As the interviewer said, one expected the camera to cut away for a reaction from the other actress, but not so. All of the actors in "X" were so right for their parts. From the clips I have seen "Pearl" also has the same.

The closing credits scene was so disturbing, I've never seen someone smile so hard they actually began to cry from being in pain from it.
I saw it yesterday and the guy next to me said this was the longest take he ever saw. Kudos to Mia for doing that scene. And she was brilliant.
