That’s just looking to cast someone that has a similar vibe to Shelly Duvall instead of Wendy from the novel. Another movie should just be a different adaptation of the book. Not a remake of the Kubrick version. Book Wendy is nothing like Duvall or Goth. King’s Wendy was strong-willed and badass.

I've never heard her speak in her real voice or do an interview. She is a great actor and underrated. She reminds me of Evan Peters...as one of those underrated actors who need to at some point step out of their universes/production houses and do more mainstream things.

She's always had smaller roles in movies but portrayed them effortlessly, Marrowbone (a psychological/horror) and Emma (a period piece) come to mind. Funnily enough, both movies star Anya-Taylor Joy as one of the leads! :)

@@ILOVEDANNYELFMAN Hi. I do believe there is some nudity since there’s porn being filmed in the background, but there’s not as much as there was in X. Even though she is a porn star in this one, the nudity is tamed compared to the first movie.
I haven't yet watched MaXXXine but that one scene from Pearl blows my mind away. The stamina, as an actor she has shown was just incredible! Like, how do you even do that monologue!!! Goth is incredibly talented, I cannot wait to see the film.
And she had to do four or five takes of that monologue so she must have been exhausted from crying at the end of the day!
