I really love how this is a more universal design for Kong (pun not intended). He’s very gorilla like in his face and proportions, but amplified with human qualities in very minuet details.

The film makers are to lazy accurately portray the skeletons of dead Kaijus.

Looking back at the visual effects for Kong: Skull Island, it's interesting to see how well they old up till to this day, and how much the Wingard directed movies feel a lot less refined than this one. A key aspect is surely the details and photography, how every detail of Kong's skin, fur and texture makes him look incredibly big and imposing, even if in the movie is "just" 30 meters tall.

CGI so good like this is hard to come by this days...

Aaannnddd......... IT'S ALL DOWNHILL FROM HERE. seriously, the CGI of 2019's "GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS" was worse than this CGI and the CGI of 2021's "GODZILLA vs KONG" ended up being even WORSE than the CGI of 2019's "GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS".
