This bubblegum pop-ish instrumentals is actually needed to accentuate Jojo’s so-so vocals. Because the music has so much flavour to substitute what her vocals are lacking of.

Her voice sounds good because of all the autotune and effects put on her voice. But this version gives the impression that it sounds better because it highlights her vocals, while the original instrumental just had too much going on.

I think these versions work better for their voices because jojo's voice works better with the minimalist beat because her voice is too much combined with the original but brit has a softer voice so it works well with jojo's beat

She actually sounds so good here. Brit Smith sounds amazing with both arrangements, JoJo's arrangement isn't bad, it's just the mix of the two. The newer arrangement leaves so much room to focus directly on JoJo's voice which falls flat. This arrangement makes up for that. It's wild

Oh wow. The whole ‘lore’ of this JoJo/Britt Karma becomes so much more complex every time we delve further.
The more I watch more of these fan mixes, the more I actually grow to be a bit sympathetic. Whoever was the music producer behind JoJo’s Karma didn’t do her any good favors. If we got better people to remix the whole thing, can you imagine how much more respectable 2024 Karma could be?
They should’ve tried to get in contact with Timbaland, or even an aspiring music producer who has a style and inspiration similar to that.
For instance, we need people like YOU. This was a sweet rendition! I knew it that adding little Ad libs and vocal sfx would do the trick! This is how I thought it could have been!

JoJo Siwa's vocals are weaker and more processed than Brit Smith's. I've heard both songs with instrumentals switched. Clearly Brit is the stronger vocalist with a better inflection and intonation. Brit sounds good on both instrumentation/production while Siwa makes the song sound like karaoke or "KidsBop". Siwa should work on improving her vocals coz her voice sounds like a placeholder for a real singer to sing the song.

I think the song was originally written/produced in 2010, so that’s why this says 2010- it’s using the original instrumentals, which are probably from 2010, though Brit Smith recorded it in 2012.

If you go with minimal instrumentals then you will have to add the flavor with your voice, she isn’t a great vocalist so the song sounded so bland and empty, with the old instrumental it’s good enough to make you not notice her horrible vocals that much
