Then I sat down at the old PC, typed in Escolar and read about it had to been eaten in moderation or the consequences could be dire. I didn't experience any after effects at all. Don't like raw at all but on the grill it was incredible.

White Tuna is really good. Also called butterfish. Its recommended that you do not consume a lot in one sitting. You will have an oil leak coming out of you and it's not from what I hear, it's what I know

Yea man my buddy that charters in the Keys calls those “snake mackerals”. He says they are good but…..too much will have you running to the bathroom! I have never personally tried it it but I would def believe what my buddy says. I think they should be fine in moderation….and that goes for cooked as well😎

when fishing on structure it has the opposite effect IMO, it keeps me fishing...Reel up the line with a manual, any manual, fish on or not [with heavy lead to get down quick and plumb as possible] 600 to '800' deep, repeatedly to change and replace baits or remove fish x3 to 4 rigs out. On multi-party charters to deep drop, it's usually the "that guy" [drunk] that figures it out fastest, lol.

Haha those Escalar will not just give the runs they will turn you inside out. Almost all resteraunts have banned selling them...meat is beautiful but the wax polymers in the meat will get ya everytime...

I see all the reasons to have a machine reel in your fish--I do. And I have heard too many times "you could not bring in that much weight, from that deep"--and I don't dispute that. Just the same, if we are to be "sport fisherman", then this isn't right, IMO. Sit there on our dead ass, sipping a soft drink, and waiting for a machine to bring in an animal which is fighting for it's life. No more sporting that using a net--or better yet, stay at dock and go to a restaurant for a Swordfish "fresh caught". Fishing since I was 5-and now near 70--some things I don't get--and hope I never do.
