- In this episode I take you along for our 3 day "Swordfish Camp". Our fishing camps are a way to give people a hands on experience with rigging bait, tackle, and learning how we fish. Over the 3 days we catch 7 swordfish, a bunch of blackfin tuna, and a few mahi!

@@StanzFam I think you should consider coming to Gibraltar 🇬🇮 some time during the bluefin tuna season in the coming years to try and catch these 200kg+ monsters that pass through the straits of Gibraltar. When they come in, there is a huge chance of catching one! Battle could last hours and the adrenaline rush is CRAZY 😝

Now that is what I call a swordfish rodeo! Tuna blitz also! If you get a 78% return rate from skin on bloodline in fillet,which may be a bit high, the carcass should be around 37lbs. But what do I know.

Nick, what happen to the day we had roughed up arms and shoulders? To catch a sword actually meant something. Now its more akin to going to mouse world on the water and let the rod and mate do all the work. Is this a tournament? Used to love giving the amber jack to the new guy or gal on the boat. I was your neighbor (lower mat) for 17 years. Deep sea just seems boring nowadays. I guess that's why I came out of WorldWide to back country. Now that's real fishing. No first mate, no 5-6 fishermen in the boat. You bait your own line, you cast your own line and you unhooked your catch. Been a sub for a few years now and will continue to be, but boy Swords are really boring to watch. The photo ops are plenty. Like they had to actually fish.....not.... is just annoying to watch. Finally props to Jamaican Mike. Love that man.
I couldn’t agree with this more, i would rather be regular rod and reeling then use electric reels. It takes all the fun out of fishing;(
