the thing i love about the sanders sides fandom is that 90% of us are musical theatre nerds which means that there gets to be masterpieces like this, incorporating two of my favourite things.
Your cast list fits each character so freaking much. And the way you draw each person is so freaking pretty.

This is so great oh my god. The casting really fits but when I saw Thomas as Martha I could only remember what happens to her at the end and oh no thomas. (also isn't it weird that in almost every heathers au we cast deceit as jd even though thomas has actually played jd and ended up looking a lot more like virgil). I feel like these darker thoughts about what happens to the characters later are just so abundant in my head because of the nature of this musical but I can't help but remember that in this au deceit kills Roman, Remus, and Joan (was that all JD, idc he had enough of a part in it) and that Patton will have to sing lifeboat which I've seen a few animatics of and cried every time. These characters really go through some shit. I was surprised to see that this video was 8 minutes long. I expect a Beautiful animatic to be cut off because of how long the song really is. I can't imagine how long this took you but I really love the design of all of the characters (particularly Virgil, his nail polish specifically). I just love this so much!

Hold up-
When you think about it, Deceit and Remus are just like Virgil. Deceit is protecting everyone around him from the harsh reality while Remus is either telling him what not to do, what those without morals could do to him or what he could become if he lost his morals.
Since intrusive thoughts (which is what Remus is implied to be/bring) are a symptom and accompaniment of anxiety, Remus is just doing what he was put here to do. He's literally just Chaos Virgil. And Deceit is Thomas' self-interest. Without at least a little bit of that, Thomas would stop functioning properly and would likely perish. All of these characters serve to help Thomas in their own way. He needs them, no matter how unpleasant that knowledge can be.
If you think about it everyone’s the bad guy in heathers. Martha is the only “good guy”

I really love this! The designs are really nice, and they have a distinct look to them(even though they are all supposed to be Thomas). Your expressions are also very clear, I can tell what the characters are feeling without listening to the music. The plot also works, and the roles are thought out.

This is freakin awesome!!!! This is my full reaction as I didn't have a lot of time when I saw it on insta so here we go! This is amazing I love how the story is retold showing more of the hardships and a lot of foreshadowing. Though it was extremely quick that imagery of Virgil in Roman's sash is just one big pile of foreshadowing what happens to Roman (in the heathers musical)! I love how happy Virge looks at various points the first when he is waiting for his letter to college to arrive and at the end so cuteeeee!!!!! Thomas' adorable bean face when he says hi to Virge is so cute and wholesome protect himmmmm!!! The animatic flows really well and it's amazing how you timed certain things to the music ie when Roman opens his eyes after the reveal of being Heather C and at the end when all characters are shown , ooooh it gives me chills!!!! Also the scene 'something to live for' is such an awesome portrayal how in their dark reality they are sad and have issues then boom snap back to the Heathers these 3 are the schools distraction from the pain they cause one another such deep meaning!! I loved the use of colour though there was a lack of it I felt it helped draw your attention to certain things and show how these characters are of importance! Amazing work keep it up sorry for the long rant and thank you for all you do!!!!!!!!!

It took me this long to realize that Deceit is probably JD because when Virgil was with the dark sides, Deceit (before he has any sort of character arc) was probably toxically controlling, and I feel like that toxicity, albeit a different type of toxic, matches JD super well!
