I learned a lot from this video. I don't really main chargers, but I dabble every now and then. Still, it's nice to see these builds to better understand what I should be valuing.
For a person who doesn't know to make builds, this was very informative! I normally just roll with what rng rolled (haha..) But quick superjump and inksaver main is a must have for my charger builds! Happy that you are making informative videos! One of the main reasons I started playing chargers was because of you!

Ever since I’ve found your channel back in splatoon 2, I’ve really been inspired to use chargers. it’s been a struggle to get into them though, I’ll use them for a week and drop them, then I come back after a month and the cycle continues. Actually being able to understand the kits and how the weapon works would help immensely! Keep doing what you do!❤
One thing I've always liked is a single sub of ISM - at base it's *exactly* 4 shots to a tank, and 1 sub brings it to 4.39, so it's 4 shots but with a little more wiggle room. It's kinda like running Ink Recovery, but 1s ISM actually makes it faster to recover a single main weapon shot than 1s IRU (~41 frames with ISM vs 43.5 frames with IRU). It also means you reach the 5 shot threshold when combined with LDE a little sooner - at ~30% intensity instead of ~40%. My builds right now are eerily similar to yours, but I run just 1s QSJ in favour of that 1s ISM. Been recently toying with switching that around though... unsure whether that slight efficiency bonus or 8 frames faster startup on jumping is more worthwhile. With E-liter I think having several different builds is totally justified - sometimes you don't want the Respawn Punisher, sometimes you want more Wave Breakers... maybe in the future LDE will get nerfed or the Sub Res and OS won't be as useful. SSU, QSJ and some amount of ISM and/or RP will always be a constant though I think. Hopefully any future nerfs won't make Liter builds more restrictive though...
this was really nice, it would be super cool to do some commentary explaining your thoughts during ranked matches! (either while playing or when editing, i know talking while playing is hard for me)
I'd be interested in seeing an update to your fits, seeing all the ability changes, meta shifts, and release of pencil being a main weapon. Unless they haven't changed at all, which would be really, really funny.
It is SO unfortunate that the patch immediately reverted what you said about respawn punisher and tacticooler 😭 Really well done though! I always enjoy seeing your work, can't wait to see you back for splatoon 3!
hI HELLO ok ik this is a very late comment HOWEVER i owed a comment to the person who inspired me to play charger BUT ANYWAYS YOOO A COMMENTARY VIDEO THIS WAS SO USEFUL i recently stopped playing splat for a while bc exams and just got back into it as i started playing splat3 a few days ago, and this was so useful as to what builds to do!! tysm for the video and as for the question at the end upload what ur comfy with!! I study ur vods / learn from ur vids regardless sjdjsjd

thanks for the indepth talk oof these! but i wanna know your opinopin of these gears: run speed up, (mostly for scope) and special power up ( for the extented wave) i currently only have 6 ap for swim and 9 ap for special power up, and think its enough to be "optiminal" but not fast enough to run away form a fight, what do you think?
My two cents~ Swim speed is generally better than run speed because it allows you to relocate faster in most cases. Special power up is just not worth it considering you'd be giving up running a different, more efficient ability.
