Sorry, sorry yep. I stand corrected. I meant Tyson and Rios. For some reason ever since getting the first game I've still mixed up their names even though I know exactly who they are
If they do make another Army of Two, they have to bring back the Original Salem and Rios... with the ORIGINAL voice actors. Alpha and Bravo did nothing for the series whatsoever; Tyson and Elliot are still the true masks of AoT. But with all that's happened from the 40th Day and Devil's Cartel, there's only one thing that I can think of that'll bring Salem and Rios together again… Clyde. Clyde's death was never truly confirmed, only guessed by Salem. Clyde was shot at and kicked from 20 story window into a category 5 tsunami below. Compared to Salem surviving a vehicle explosion and 3rd Degree burns on 70% of his body, Clyde's bruise and swim doesn't seem so bad! If they could pull a "Thor and Loki" with Tyse and Salem, using the fear and threat of the return of Clyde, I think it could be the best Army of Two yet! Salem went crazy after Alice died and Rios (supposedly) left him for dead. Clyde was already batshit crazy even before being left for dead twice! Bring them all back!
It's funny. When I first played 40th Day, I was anticipating Clyde to make a return. He's one of the main reasons I loved the first game so much. I'd totally love to have a game based around him, like a prequel where he first joins the SSC and rises through the ranks, maybe secretly killing off his competition (ie the other mercs). It seems like something he would do, considering how bat-shit insane he is.
"You should have lied to cha min soo we're going to be fucked when he finds out that Clyde died in the plane crash" "chill man we'll figure something out" "that's what you always say and we never do" [That's my favorite line]
Alice died, the game pretty much indirectly tells you when Salem is in prision and when he tells Rios something along the lines of this "You left me just like you left Alice!" not the exact words, but pretty close.
I hate how it all happened. The reason Salem got in that situation was because he "abandoned" Rios to save himself. Salem would never of done that, and because EA made it that he did, the rest happened. Ugh Salem and Rios were what made me like the game the most. I hate what they did.
Love this game! I spent countless hours playing this with my cousin. overall I liked devils cartel a lot, but Salem would never become like that. Someone said he was to much like the joker which is exactly right. Salem was always the comic relief he would never be so sadistic and he would have never left rios to save himself and rios would never have left him to burn.
Just in-case you don't understand, Alice smirks because orgininally she sets them up for Dalton. When he then double-crosses her, Rios & Salem rescue her so she gives them a shit load of cash. So basically she smirks because she sets them up, then gets double-crossed, Rios & Salem save the day & all is well. P.S Rios is better than Clyde
Actually Rios wanted to save Salem but when the car blew alpha and bravo told him he was dead so Rios has no choice but to believe them and he was saying Salem in the heli and how he didn't want to leave him so that's that and the voices were actually done well and made them sound more official
That's because they are not in game cutscenes. It's basically cool cgi. Don't think the previous gen would be able to handle that kind of rendering during in game
Totally agree. I think Salem will return as a villain next game, but the n switch sides back to Rios. But yeah, I loved Alpha and Bravo, and I hope we get some female TWO operatives.
I think the army of two the devils cartel doesnt count because at the beginng where they saw fiona salem would of never left if u compare them to the army of two 40th day salem and rios their personalitys are different it would of been rios who wanted to leave not salem. Salem likes action so he wouldnt care but rios wouldnt leave because they are best friends and wouldnt leave each im also comparing it to the kid from the 40th day the kid from the hospital if it was salem and rios from the devils cartel they wouldve abandon the kid but no salem and rios helped him so if it was salem and rios from the 40th day in the devils cartel salem and rios wouldve rescued fiona. To me the salem and rios from the devils cartel are just clones who me and my brother call burt(salem) and chuck(rios) because another thing is the information salem says is wrong when he says "did rios ever mention murray or did he leave her for dead too" is bullcrap because the real salem knows wat happen he knows she got her chopper shot down so it wasnt his or rios's fault another wrong detail is when salem says "I give my life to u because u wanted to save shanhai" thats also bullcrap because all they wanted to do in the 40th day is escape shanhai not save it and it was salems idea to kill jonah. So yea salem and rios from the devils cartel are fake and salem and rios from the 40th day are the real salem and rios . Who agrees
It's very unlikely that there will be a sequel of the Devil's Cartel, but even if there will be one, I doubt it's going to be Salem and Rios being the protagonists. Think about it. Salem went all psycho and rots in jail, Rios has had it and never wanted to see Salem's face again after Fiona's fate. I don't want them bringing back Alpha and Bravo either I think, whoever makes a sequel has to start from scratch. And to come up with another fitting storyline about another duo finding T.W.O. ... I think it's best if they'd leave the series alone. You got to know when to stop, or else you'll get a Resistance storyline.
Guy Fawkes Salem escaped the prison at the very end with the help of an unknown character. I'm hoping and being optimistic that it might have been Rios and that they somehow made amends.
+Guy Fawkes Well for the Alpha and Bravo. I think a little too much was done to try to have the characters be blank slates for the players to invest themselves in. Personally, that was my biggest issue with the characters. But I do think they were well voiced, acted and designed.I think with the proper writing, I think Alpha and Bravo could be rather interesting.
+wh3nderson95 We as the player haven't been able to create a bond with those two guys. Never said they aren't funny or anything, especially Bravo is golden, and Alpha and Bravo make a good team, but the writing and plot could have been better. If there's a sequel, it just seems like the ones making it will have nothing to build it on.
You can slightly understand but at the same time not. Rios wouldve died staying there and Salem didnt even think about any escape or contact with them. He just up and feels like killing his family. Then they shouldve fleshed it out some more.
Ambushment PSN It's not realistic, that is what makes it so fun. Half the time these guys survive these situations is through plot bullshit and infinite ammo nonsense.
