Some of the acting was over the top, but for all those comments of the missed shots, it may have been slightly exaggerated but clearly you've never been in combat. You can be a deadeye shooting paper, but when the bullets start flying in both directions, and your adrenaline is pumping like a fire hose, you'd be surprised how hard it is to aim
Shooting when the weather's mild, knowing paper doesn't retaliate isn't the same as coping with uncertain conditions, unknown number of hostiles coming from every directions
Considering the number of likes already you guys have a success. Brilliant job as I know you budget was near nonexistant. You really worked your buns off!!!!!!
Dear node. Some of your viewers are about 12-14 and really like your work. I don't know for sure but i think that we want to all know an easy way to do this sort of stuff with a budget of almost nothing. PLEASE HELP WE LOVE YOUR WORK!!!!!
I am going to film school and I give you big points on this, you got it all to work smoothly, gunshots, effects, you even remembered the blood on the shirt, Good job, Very impressive.
You are correct, the M1014 does hold 8 rounds, 7 in the tube and one in the pipe. Pike carries his extra rounds on the butt of the gun, in a cool red white and blue pattern. If you watch through the film, the rounds on the stock slowly diminish showing that he is reloading. We chose not to show him putting the rounds in the gun, because it's an airsoft gun, and has no ports that accept shells. Good observation though.
Thanks for watching. Another professional filmmaker pointed something out to me, I'd like your input. These are the EXACT same effects, down to the assets and techniques everyone loves FreddieW and Corridor Digital for. Seriously. Compare frame to frame, side by side. But because we went with a much higher production look, the youtube grade effects seem out of place in a Hollywood-esque film. The idea being that they don't hold up compared to big budget movies. Thoughts?
9:11, Also there are several breaks in the action where one should assume they are reloading. Any good long barrel (18"+) pump can hold 8, I actually don't know about the autos. Maybe one of the endless amount of internet "experts" here can tell us! Thanks for watching!
Well, node, I`d have to say this was a great video even if some people say that the acting, lighting, and muzzle flashes were bad, I support you fully, and think this is one of the best videos you`ve ever done. You should get them to do more videos.
I really appreciate when they say "Mag" instead of "Clip", it helps me enjoy the video so much more. There was a shot that showed one of the Cartel members firing the AK and it didn't show the charging handle move back and forth to cycle the rounds being fired from it, that's my only criticism I can give. Overall, good acting and plot line.
Whoa! Thanks for the love and support! Obviously things get better as people progress with their skills, so if you liked this, you'll bleeping love what is coming down the pipe!
Hey Taras, so this came up (the Alpha/Bravo bit, not the comparing to FW bit) and I thought, why focus on the main characters if they are just as new as any other characters. Obviously Pike and Bradley both play big roles in the new game. So other than they are the new main's, is there another reason you'd like to see something focused on them? Eagerly awaiting your response! Thanks for watching!
Oh no! This was a crazy month long effort! I want to bring more to the table, but I don't know if I can do that! Glad you liked it. We'll be back with more soon!
I was going to point out some things that could be done better, but since I have not done anything even remotely similar to this, so all I can say is good job and this is a good start, keep improving.... best of luck.
Bruno Wimmer i'm sorry, but all the dialogue in this fan film is excellent. this fanfilm could've been something that akin to a 20th Century Fox film, if the directors had the same kind of funding the major studios have. had they had better actors (not to diss Pike and Bradley's actors, they weren't bad at what they do) better special effects, and professionals to teach the actors how a gun ACTUALLY works, (i get they wanted to be 'macho' and have the guns firing non-stop, but you're runnin' on 30 round clips for most of the rifles, 50-70 if you're using an AR with a drum mag. pistols and shotguns are even less) i guarantee this would've been likely the best fan film ever to grace our eyeballs. of course, all of the aforementioned things would require a larger budget that they couldn't have afforded at the time the film was made, so i won't argue with their final decision, especially when as fan films go, this is one of the better ones.
Thanks man, we're already hard at work getting ready to bring you something better. Try not to worry about the internet "experts". Everyone thinks they know everything, and have that need to show. We all really appreciate people like you that can enjoy what we slave to bring you so you can watch it for free. Thanks again, and keep up the Rail love too!
I don't know if it was just me but I had an audio glitch in the film, I'm using an iPod that's old, don't know if its only me or if others experienced the same thing.
actually, as the armorer, I'm a HUGE proponent of magpul's weapons manipulation style. I tried to bring that to the production as much as I could. Unfortunately, I didn't have very much time to work with the actors on their manipulation. The next project will definitely incorporate more. Thanks for watching!
I'm not sure if anyone noticed this but did he ever reload the shotgun? and just out of curiosity how many rounds can that type hold? I know most shot guns can usually hold up to 8 (unless it's an AA 12 of course)
To be honest it felt like I was watching a Hollywood action film. The acting was pretty good, the guns were okay and otherwise I would have liked to see a full length film on this. Good job guys.
One thing that I have to remember, is as a shooter myself, not every one knows about efficient weapons manipulation. Even most police and military organizations, so I have to tailor my actor's training to their character. Teaching bad tactics, as much as it pains me, is something that I have to do some times.

Facts..I've had my share of shootouts. I wouldn't mind those 💩heads brother..they only had "experience" from playing Call of Duty
THANK YOU JCLindo! We sooooo appreciate your support!!!
Considering the number of likes already you guys have a success. Brilliant job as I know you budget was near nonexistant. You really worked your buns off!!!!!!
I couldn't ever come close to making something like this... congratulations on making a good movie short... I enjoyed it
Dear node. Some of your viewers are about 12-14 and really like your work. I don't know for sure but i think that we want to all know an easy way to do this sort of stuff with a budget of almost nothing. PLEASE HELP WE LOVE YOUR WORK!!!!!
the guy who played Rios is DEAD on, made perfect sense with the retired gut.
Thanks man. Glad you enjoyed it.
Loved the product placement for Cliff, Jeep, and iPhone.
those 10 minutes flew by..thanks guys
lolz I love how they can walk slowly into cover while numerous people shoot at them, cracks me up!
holy crap, i replayed it eyes closed and have no idea of how i didnt hear it at first
I am going to film school and I give you big points on this, you got it all to work smoothly, gunshots, effects, you even remembered the blood on the shirt, Good job, Very impressive.
I love how the guy with body armor stays behind the one wearing the t-shirt
Damn, that's not a half bad idea. Thanks for watching and the great idea!
No! You are! Thanks for the support. We just wanted to entertain!
Yes, I know of "recoil springs". It all depends on what platform you are using, whether or not the springs reduce/remove recoil.
Thanks man! I'm so happy you liked it! That's why we did it.

Good job with this. Gaming short movies are the best, and node is the best of them.

Thanks Daviddo! I really appreciate that support! Glad we have that international community!
hey this is elissa navarros daughter i really enjoyed this video .your really good at what you do and your getting wayyy better :)
Si. Didn't get around to using the shot of the "Flammable" barrels so we could keep the action in one shot. Tried to keep it exciting for you guys.
Well, node, I`d have to say this was a great video even if some people say that the acting, lighting, and muzzle flashes were bad, I support you fully, and think this is one of the best videos you`ve ever done. You should get them to do more videos.
this is just above normal corridor digital level
Thanks! That is so great to hear! Glad you enjoyed it man. We can't wait to do it again.
Adobe all around. it just makes it so damn easy.
You are correct! That is Scott Levy :-)
LOL i cracked my neck at the same exact time the guy did in the beginning
wow no trolls got to you yet you need an award !
And I thank you for all of these great videos.
Excellent! This is one of my favorite games! I always thought they should've done a live action movie. Much appreciated!
I really appreciate when they say "Mag" instead of "Clip", it helps me enjoy the video so much more.
