We tune up the 1939 Farmall H. The engine was not running well. This tractor has seen 5 generations in our family.

Is that a 48 star flag hanging on the right?
It most certainly is! You are actually the first person to ever notice it in one of my videos! It was from a family member who was a World War I veteran. 👍
Many people probably don’t know understand this, but dragging the driveway always makes the place look neat and tidy.
Glad to see the 'search party' was successful at the missing H - it's not missing any more!
It was definitely hidden in the back of the shop, 😂.
Oh the sweet sound of a machine starting on the first try....👏
Sometimes the engine just wants some attention, a little love, and then everything is fine again.🤔🙋♂
I just brought my mom's 9N Ford tractor in the shop.
It had been sitting in another garage for over 20 years.
It had an electrical fire, so that's where it sat.
New wiring harness, new plugs and wires, new points, and distributors cap.
Away we went. Running on all 4 cylinders.
The old Fords are great tractors. We had an 8N and it is the only one that we really regret selling. It is amazing how many parts you can still get for them. There's even a company nearby where I live that specializes in them.
@@lifeafterourloss Maybe you should keep your eyes open for one again Aaron it would make for great content because they are so popular but if you and the Cleaner decide to look for one try and find a side distributor and proof meter that’s the one with all the upgrades but just a suggestion 😀🇨🇦
@keithwarkentin We will definitely consider it. They definitely are a very useful tractor.
That’s exactly how I feel when I’m on my little 8N I can really think things through when I am using the 6’ blade and the gravel always looks fresh when I’m done 😀🇨🇦
It's just so peaceful and so much fun at the same time.
I have always found those single front tires to be unusual. My dad had a McCormick WD-9 back in the 70's and that had a conventional front axle/wheel configuration.
I have always felt the same way. In fact our 400 Farmall we just converted it back to row crop configuration. I just can't get used to it. The tractor always had a wide front end as long as I can remember it. I will say on a tractor as small as the "H" it is very nimble. 😊
Now that was most enjoyable !
Thanks Tom. I've really been enjoying making the videos lately. 😊
And that shows in the video.
FARMALL is the flavor of the month here.
Just working on a BMD and Super BMD. Which we are thinking about making one into a 3 wheeler.
Also got a couple of H's.
Me and pop always tune in to see what you and your pop are up to 👍🏻
Thanks we appreciate you tuning in from Over the pond. Sounds like you have some very fun toys to play with as well. ☺️
Sounds as good as new. Usually the magneto seems to be one of the weak links on these. But lucky it was just foiled spark plugs and bad wires.
Definitely got out of this one easier than I thought we would.
Supposedly the wire type plug gapper is the most accurate
I think you're right. I should have actually used the feeler gauge I had sitting right on the cart in front of me. 😊
Red color and a farm tractor? Has to be a Porsche! There is no other way; I refuse to believe there exist non-Porsche red tractors :D
I mean it's only logical right? 🤣
@@lifeafterourloss It's the only kind I've ever seen. But it has been a while since I sat on one.
I always put my stuff in a “special place” so I’ll remember where it all is. Just can’t remember where the “special place” is. Sigh………….🤯
Bubba Gump parts...🤣 😆🤣✌👍
You are right, that was very funny.....😂
I think I'm going to put out a short tomorrow and use the "Bubba Gump Parts" as a title! Awesome suggestion. 🤣😂🤣
Do you have trouble knowing when to stop dragging? I'm OCD with that and a speed mover.....just one more pass!
I'm the same way. I like to comb the gravel until it's absolutely perfect. Sometimes people will drive into the driveway and apologize for messing it up. To be honest if you could wear out gravel, it's already wore out. 😊
I am looking for a hand crank for a 1957 D8 caterpillar pony engine,
If you are a member of ACMOC (antique caterpillar machinery owners club) you could ask on the wanted to buy section. Or maybe keep an eye out on ebay. 😊
How van it ne missing it looks like it hiding in plain sight
You forgot parts of parts
