Those finishes are just ridiculous, and he made scoring look so effortless, always so smooth. Iceman proved himself in the Playoffs too, one of the greatest SG's of all-time. And seeing some of those blocks also reminded me that he's one of the best shotblocking guards ever (despite not being a great defensive player) with his length and athleticism.
Thanks for those videos. It reminded with old days and when Gervin was the best scorer in the league. Gervin was phenomenal. I had seen many of his games in person downtown San Antonio arena. He was fun to watch.
You have to wonder how many Gervin would have gotten the night he put 63 up on the last game of the year. He stopped shooting practically after halftime. I think he could have gotten 80 easily, maybe 100 since he had 53 at the half. Same with Durant, I always felt KD could have put a gaudy number up like 75, 85 points in a game but was such a 'win-first, team player' he never did it. We will never know with Ice, and likely never will with KD.
I followed Ice his whole career 47 years this day November 2020 I went to the Hall of Fame with Ice May 1996 he called me his shotgun man and I look like James Silas
Jordan would've been just another good player in THIS golden era of the game!! Dr. J,Caldwell Jones Maurice Cheeks,Moses Malone,Larry Bird,Kevin McHale,Dennis Jonson,Magic,Norm Nixon,Kareem,Walton.......All in their PRIME!!

Yeah Gervin is great, don't really see players like him in today's game

To me those years along with the ABA years were magical, even more so than the recent championships.
The Ice Man the greatest I've ever seen using the backboard.
George Gervin would help out the janitor after school so he could use the gym and shoot till midnight!
It's to bad i wasn't born yet because o would have loved to see george gervin play basketball
More efficient than Kobe.
Left/right off the glass, finger rolls Gervin could do it All!
Lmao he dropped 30 on Julius Erving WITHOUT a 3 pt line … that’s actually scary
See that bank shot at1:09? Who does that?! Especially now!

Did gervin play defense?
Iceman had that soft touch......
Hard to believe with that body, Billy Paultz averaged 12 points and 8 rebounds over 15 years.
