Great Video, Japanese imports are a great buy Nissan Figaroi was built on the Micra floor plan, very popular here in the UK bit of a classic loved by women I myself have being importing MK5 Golf GTIs they have a lot of Audi, VW, Mercedes out there all no rust like new underneath because of the climate and No road salting, they use anti-freeze on roads, well worth buying and great value…
Eh, I'd go ahead and paint the quarter and get some paint to touch up that minor rust around the trunk. Who ever buys it is gonna be a collector of some type so the more you fix(to a point), the better chance of selling it quick. I've noticed the shipping from uk has gotten quick. I ordered a thicker rear sway bar for my x5 and it will be here in 6 days
Oh this is cool 👍 I'm a fellow BMW tech (Well MINI) and now own a Figaro. I have done a bunch of stuff to my Figaro and have crossed reference a bunch of parts if you need help.
I remember lots of these in New Zealand as "Jap" imports. The used car dealers would for a frequency converter to the radio to shift the frequencies into a usable range.
I think your comments on the tyres and seats are a lesson to all. Some things you have to fix but you can still look for a good price. Some things are more of a sliding scale and you need to keep a view of the likely selling price when choosing how much to spend. I would get the existing seats and door cards etc. as clean as possible before making any spend decisions.
when you paint the fender get a nail polish size, same paint, for for touch-ups. Every car I worked on W/20 yrs I put new brake line rubber ends (at pistons) after bad experience. 30 yr rubber ? but ?no hassle with right-hand car from some bufford?

Japanese record years according to the emperor's reign. For example, the year Heisei 14 is actually 2002. Showa 51 is 1976. The current year of 2022 in Japan is Reiwa 4. However, it would hopefully be denoted as H14 or 平成14 if they were indicating that era, and December 6, 2014 was the actual latest timing belt change.
