Aerosmith started in 1970 my Senior year . This is a song from the movie Armageddon with Bruce Willis and the singer Steven Tyler's daughter , Liv Tyler .
One of my favorite songs of all time. 26 now, i remember listening to this song over and over again when i was 12-13. Nothing really to add to that, I just LOVE this song haha..
Thanks Kabir for this reaction Born and raised here in the States Aerosmith has always been my favorite American Rockers, They have been around since the 70's I'm pretty close to their age im 63.
@@kabirconsiders Yep so much great music back in the day it was all about love and seeing great bands from all over the world live in those days was Amazing, Peace and love!
So sad you didn't watch the official video with clips from the movie. Seeing his daughter acting, and their personal history where she and he connected after her childhood. I love the parental feelings of watching a child.. not wanting to miss a thing. Also of course the romantic meaning.
I've loved this song since I saw Armageddon in the theatre. Back in '99 when I was in high school, I was part of a small group who also sang this for a Valentine's Day thing also.
His daughter is Liv Tyler, from the Lord of the Rings movies. This song was written by Dianne Warren, who is a MASTER of song writing. She has 11 Oscar nominations for Best Song (including this one), six Golden Globe nominations (with two wins), and 15 Grammy nominations (though only one win).
This song brings back childhood memories, man. I always wait for this song when dad slaps the cassette tape that had this song into the player. The fine times when you had not a single worry in the world.
You should watch the movie that this song came from Armageddon Steven Tyler who is the singer for Arrowsmith his daughter Liv Tyler is the female lead in the movie
Since the 70's. My two favorite bands. Aerosmith and Queen.....I see you also have some Bon Jovi. They're up towards the top also! Aerosmith is the band I have seen live the most in my (ahem) 61 years. Steven Tyler (lead vocals), Joe Perry (lead guitar), Tom Hamilton (bass), Joey Kramer (drums) and Brad Whitford (guitar). A lot of history with this band! Good and bad. Personally I think this song is a very commercial song and not one of my favorites. I understand why so many like it but it was made for a move Steven's daughter Liv was in. They have so many better ones (more rock and ballads)
This is from the movie Armageddon, Liv the actress is Steven Tylers (lead singer) daughter.....this is a massive hit ........you need to check it out!!!
Have you heard Janie's Got a Gun? It's also an Aerosmith ballad, but it's a story song and rather dark/sad. The song and music video both won awards the year it was released.
Hey man, as someone from Europe who wonders why the US, especially a place like LA, has bad public transit, look up on TH-cam the opening credits of the pilot episode in 2000 for the hit TV show Beverly Hills 90210! Obviously not every HS student drives a Porsche or a BMW but 16 in this country usually means having a driver's license and a car.
Maybe if you have parents who can afford to buy you a car, which doesn't apply to at least 50% of the population. Just handing a 16 yr old keys is NOT something all parents do, even if they can afford it. I bought my own damn car when I was 18. Plus the blatantly obvious fact that MANY PEOPLE NEED PUBLIC TRANSIT! Not everybody is rich, and obviously, ignorance is FREE. ~ Mrs H.
It could be a fun react video to sample different genres of American music, especially some boot stomping country music, or New Orleans jazz, maybe a little Blues...lots of great music genres to choose from here. Elvis Presley was a big influence in American music. Sorry if this is something you have already done, I'm a new subscriber.

Every time someone plays this at their wedding, I get confused because this song is literally about Steven Tyler’s child. It’s about a baby. A literal baby. Infant. Had a friend talmbout how romantic this song is and I was like 🥴
@@BooneErica 1) I’m Black and not a woman. 2) considering the original singer said it was about his children, that’s the interpretation I’m going with. You have fun.
This is proof positive that women secretly run the world. ;) Of all the great Aerosmith songs, this is the only song that hit number 1 on the charts. Dream On(and about 20 other of their songs) is a far better song, IMO. Even Angel is a better love song, IMO.
Bah, I still think this song is overrated. They're a Boston band and I'm from MA so I love em. Check out, Dream On, Toys in the Attic, What it takes, Crying, Amazing and Walk this way (with RUN DMC). Their video series in the 90s launched Alicia Silverstone's and Liv Tyler's (his daughter) careers. They use to always play New Years eve in Boston, I caught it once it was amazing
@@seansitton1929 I know, kind of a shame considering their portfolio. I think what ruined it for me was how it's attached to a terrible movie and it was way overplayed on the radio
That guy, LOL. That guy is a master class in singing and his name is Steven Tyler. He is a legend!!
Steven Tyler! I recognise that name from somewhere
He’s a judge on American Idol, he’s a legend as Diana said and his daughter is Liv Tyler who is an actress and in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.
Such a powerful voice. Steven Tyler is such a talent. He throws his heart out into the songs.

Classic song. Really good. Aerosmith are great!
Please Do Aerosmith-Dream On. 🙏🙏🙏 Great Song
I’ll put it in the list!

This was my high school class song back in 2000. LOL
This song was originally written for Celine Dion to sing, which is crazy to think about lol.
It’s from the movie Armageddon !!! Around since the early 7os
Oh wow, fifty years!
Which is I still find hilarious because the song is about Liv Tyler and she was Bruce Willis’ daughter in that movie.

You should check out the official Video
Haven’t you ever seen the movie Armageddon? If not you should it’s pretty good
This group is from my hometown area....
Do you play the guitar Kabir? I always wonder when I see it sitting behind you.
This song is about his daughter
Youve got watch the official video
If you watch the video…. It becomes obvious that the song is about his daughter
Guns & roses “livin on a prayer “ or if u wanna stick with Aerosmith “ Janies Got A Gun”
Livin' on a prayer is Bon Jovi.. I think you meant Aerosmith's Livin' on the Edge.
React to Dispatch's "The General".
I’ll put it on my list!
This music video clip is better than the video you posted
Unfortunately reacting to music videos is risky these days, have to be careful with copyright
He actually wrote this song to his daughter
Aerosmith and Queen started at the same time. Like Queen, Aerosmith still does limited touring.

@Ray M then take that up with Steven Tyler who constantly talks about how this song was about missing his kids while on the road

Well newsflash, KAREN, songs have a different meaning to different people. The song was used for the movie Armageddon.

That beautiful dark haired girl in the movie clips is Tyler's daughter IRL. I do hope you aren't just watching the lyric video. That's just a waste.
They don't call him the Demon of Screamin' for nothing. You need to dig into Aerosmith (and Steven Tyler) a whole lot further.
Saw your video about American foods. As a trained chef if you want you can message me and I’ll send you the occasional American recipes.

Aerosmith is one of the most over-rated band, in my opinion. They're "safe rock" for urban moms.
