      Nobody has tested the LG yet so it could be better, however most if not all projectors are not good for gaming it is very rare to find one that is as capable as a flat panel. But at this point in time nothing can match the performance of a pc monitor and you can get them in larger sizes now so that could be an option.

      Get the P1, I bought the vava and it’s so underwhelming that I attempted to return it. Key word attempted, they don’t allow returns! I spent $2500 for a big piece of junk. 6000 lumens is marketing crap, I have a optoma hd25-lv that’s is 3500 lumens and it’s twice as bright as the vava. My buddy got the P1 and it’s beautiful! Save your money and get the optoma. You won’t be disappointed. The cinegrey 5d with a UST will have a lot of light bleeding to the ceiling. CLR is ideal for a UST

    VAVA products offer seemingly great value at first, until they prematurely break down! ..and you find that every attempt to contact them for a solution is futile at best.
    The last product I purchased from them was their VAVA MOOV Bluetooth headset; Great sounding for the price, but the plastic coverings for earpiece inexplicably started disintegrating - as if made of some powdery material - till I was left with the bare copper wiring! All within the first 3 months of purchase?!
    I tried severally to contact them, with an intention to make use of my warranty, but not a single email I left for them was replied to. I had to purchase new headphones to replace a barely used VAVA product.
    I visited their site last week to look at this projector, having seen a recommendation (due to its price/features ratio), but I’ll rather hold out for the Viewsonic X100-4K based on past experience.
    I thought they were a Chinese owned company, only to recently find out (through their Indiegogo page) that they are apparently “American” - based in San Francisco.

I have a problem because I have the lower right corner of the image projected on the wall that is trimmed. The angle is not straight and I can't adjust it correctly. The top of the image is not parallel to the ceiling, it is slightly curved. Have you ever had these kinds of problems with a Projector? Thank you in advance for your answer. Have a good weekend

    Thank you for this excellent preview. I have 3 questions:
    1. This projector has any form of motion interpolation?
    2. Is it possible to distort the projection of the image so that the projection is in 21: 9 instead of 16: 9?
    3. What about the black levels? From 1 to 10, how much do you score the blacks?
    Thanks in advance for your answer.

    • @JoelsterG4k
      @JoelsterG4k  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Martin, there is no motion interpolation on projectors (at least not that I know of).
      In some projectors they do give you image options but not on this one, but you can choose the size you want.
      On black levels I'll give it a 9, you can improve contrast and detail by using a projector screen or special paint but it looks great on my wall, just make sure is a flat color, not glossy.

    HDMI CEC what is working?
    Turning projector automatically on when source is turned on (same with turning off)? automatic switching sources when any button touched on remote of different source?
    very curious

      Yes for example it turns on my firestick when i turn on the projector or it would turn on a soundbar when connected.

      @@JoelsterG4k Thanks for the swift reply, but I am actually wondering about the opposite way. When i turn on my Apple TV, does it automatically turn on the projector? And when I turn off my Apple TV, does it turn off the projector as well?
      Would be nice if you could test this, or even show it. :)

      @@pascalburlet2046 Oh ok, no it doesn't work that way, the power source is the projector in this case so the projector is the one controlling that.

      JoelsterG4K Too bad. that means i have to use two remotes from now on.. always. wasnt the case with my LG PF1000UT (im a backer 😆). Nothing that can't be done with a software update.. but yeah.. how big is the probablitly that they'll do something so specific.
      Great video nonetheless! And thanks for the quick reply

    You're not even using an ALR screen. Using a UST without ALR makes no sense.

    Why do you guys that buy these projectors keep saying 4K all the time? Is it because the companies that sell them to you trick you to believing it's 4K? You want 4K go get a true native 4K projector and then be wow'd not this wobulation crap they feed the un-knowledgeable people like yourself and no offence dude but you are. If you really want to see what a true 4K is it does NOT exist in DLP you'll have to get LCOS which is a JVC technology or SXRD from Sony..but those are upward of $15,000-$50,000 and most people can't afford one.

    Projector 101, don't project on a wall. Buy a decent screen, the results will be so much better.

    • @JoelsterG4k
      @JoelsterG4k  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes a screen will add better contrast but I have a matte white wall which absorbs light very well and picture looks great.

    I just got this projector last week, I really don’t like it, doesn’t work with PS4, the apps are all android for phone and are awful, it also won’t display 4K signal from 4K Firestick. Got it to work with my 4K disc player but even then it was dark. I tried to return it but they have a NO RETURN AFTER SHIPPING POLICY.... I would avoid this product like the plague.

    The only proper screen for ultra short throw projectors is an ALR (ambient light rejection) screen designed for UST projectors. These will give you great brightness/contrast even in a brightly lit room. Projecting this on a wall is a waste of good projector. Example: th-cam.com/video/qRvnmJ5C688/w-d-xo.html

    Another stupid review calling a 1080P projector a 4K! This is horrible! Once again another reviewer that doesn't know squat about projectors! This is not a 4K projector so stop advertising it as a 4K projector! It uses wobulation to create a 4K image and that does not mean it's a 4K projector it's a foe 4K so tell it like it is it's a 1080p projector not a 4K projector there are 4K chips available from Texas instruments and from Sony and from JVC that put out true 4K images and this projector does not have any of those chips that's why you're paying so little because it's a 1080p projector stop advertising it as a 4K projector!
