- A lady on Whidbey Island (WA) had an abandoned 1972 Apache Mesa Pop-up camper on her property. She didn't have the crank tool to open it, so she just wanted it hauled off, or else she was going to take it to the dump. We contacted her and took a road trip up from Seattle to check it out. We had little hope that it would be anything more than scrap for parts for our own 1972 Apache Ramada, but it turned out to be much more than that. It looked pretty rough outside, but inside it had been very well preserved during the 20 years since it had been opened last. I had fun writing the spaghetti western score for our little movie.
Very nice fortunate find and very fitting music score for an Apache camper I thought:)
Love it. I think it's a great little camper you have there!!
Obviously was a rental unit, seeing the # on the back.
Whoa! Nice!
Mouse said "WAIT YOUR TAKING MY HOUSE!!!!
What a gem for the price of zero $$$.
I own one. 1977 model year
I just bought one with the support covers the awning and screen room
My family had one when I was a kid
why are you wearing masks? Does it smell that bad?
Potential for mold. Heather has allergies.
@@adamcrockett Well, it's a cool project and fortunately there are a lot of mold treatments out there... Happy Camping!
who the fork engineer did such thing ,it is absolutely mind blowing caravan.
What a free one or a giveaway price ? there are so many of these sitting around in Wisconsin no one wants them. Masks???
I could have handled the little mouse but I was so terrified a snake was going to come slithering out 😅
Awesome score guys!
Every thing in there had been really taken care. Of.
Blue hair. How'd I know.
These trailers have wasps
best score ever
If mice infestation, and can access hedge ball put in the pop out. Do not use moth balls you never get the smell out. WOW I have never seen one before. Drier sheets also work. Hedge balls are poisonous. Wow, you’re lucky what a find. My husband and I fixed up a canvas pop up one time. It had holes every wear. I stitched denim into the canvas. Hard on the fingers. Finally got to the point where we used grey tape. We were just kids with very little money. But we had a blast! And it was great fun, and built memories for our kids. Have fun with your little find.
My dad always told me to take hedge apples along when camping to keep the spiders away.
A great find. Super clean. No mouse poo or nests. Wiring and appliances look in good shape. An ez restoration with minimal effort.
Very nice find
Lucky you!
I just picked up an apache in nov 2022 in Ontario its in rough shape, but it was free. I live in Ontario. I just closed it up and brought it home waiting for nice weather to open it in spring of 2023. Any advice you have on apache tent trailer would be great help... My sister is currently doing the RV life in Texas. So if their is anything she can pick up in the states and bring back with her let me know.
Never had a tent trailer! Good luck!
I mean hard side tent trailer like the one in the video same one. Its green i think its a 1977
Score!!!
That is a momma mouse. They are bigger and more afraid of you.
I think that one plugin you had your hand on could have either been for the 12 volt ceiling lights (maby new plug was put on at some point if old one broke or wore out) and if not those then could be for the 12 volt vent fan and That is in Amazing good condition inside im getting set to get a regular canvas popup also older but looking at these apaches makes me sure want to get one!
--‘’SNACKS’’---what snacks??
I remember this camper from the forum, always wondered what happened to it
Really good shape. I would love to find that deal.
With the numbers on it could have been a rental
Mickey Mouse House ! 😅😅😅😅❤❤❤❤
Nice condition
That’s awesome..good thing he wore that mask though. Wew! Close one
It’s been closed for 20 years. Mold, dust, etc. yeah.
My dream camper
Nice
What a SCORE!
Nice find.
Did they get this thing fixed up or what?
Just replaced the gearboxes on it, actually. Raises and lowers smoothly now. Replaced the seals and living hinge on the bed ends. Still needs some wiring and propane hose work
@@adamcrockett I have never owned a camper but these are available for very low prices on Facebook marketplace, one of them about an hour from my house for $3000. I like the no-canvas build but in terms of setup and water leaks I wonder if these are better or worse than the many affordable pop-ups out there. They definitely have a dedicated following as I have discovered while researching!
Enjoyed your video. Hope to see an update!
Cool! I want one! Have you seen the one on BossaNova ?
No what’s that?
@@adamcrockett It's a you tube channel channel. "BossaNova Life"?
They restored one, it'really nice 👍
I Don't Get the Concept of Bright, Neon Blue Colored Hair. Why?? Do You Honestly Think It Looks Good?? Off Beat and Weird!!
Lay off the snacks girl
The fuck?
WOW. Inmaculate conditions.
