Wow, that's a very rich stew. It must be loaded with nutrients. Some people in the Carib Islands, say the coco yam is good for the skin & joints. Thanks for the recipe :-)
The soup looks good and hope shud taste well. I am from imo state and cocoayam is not actually used to make dat soup rather a thickner called achi, d ukazi is not necessarily grinded and a little Pumpkin leave added to it wit plenty of dryfish and snail if u want makes it a complete OFE OWERRI. Oh I miss naija.
Don't know this bcos im from edo state, benin city precisely, but I think I will give it a try but I don't know if I can get the ingredients here in France...I feel like deeping my eba inside tru my ipad..hehehehe.im loving it
love the video...i am having difficulty knowing the different use for Okazi/Ukazi, Uziza and Utazi..They sound so alike and not helping matters.. can you help me with the different uses? :)
okazi or ukazi is the same leaf, is just that some call it ukazi while others call it okazi, but the real pronunciation is ukazi, uziza leaf is a different leaf and it has a seed as well which u can use to prepare Nsala (white soup), while utazi is also a different leaf it is bitter in taste,it is mostly use in garnishing, like Nkwobi and Abacha (African Salade)
u can use ukazi to prepare, ofe owerri, vegetable soup and egwusi soup as well, u can use uziza leaf together with oha to prepare ofe oha, is very delicious.
Wow
Healthy cooking
I like those recipes
Thank you Oge 💕

sorry dear I'm from Imo too and the best thickner of "ofe Owerri" is ede- cocoyam
Biko we don't use achi for Ofe Owerri at all. It's Ede oo. It is even an abomination to use achi for it in some places
Cocoyam is prefect for it not achi pls
Ede its been d best dear not achi

Thank u so much...am heading to d african store right away...lol
Thank you for the video unfortunately in UK the leaves you can get are ugu, uziza, Spinach and water leaf if your lucky. No Oha anywhere.
Amanda Ladeji you're welcome dear.
Really? I thought Uk was second Niaja when it comes to Nigerian food
there is oha , it depends on where you live. everything is in peckham, dalston and queen's market in upton park etc
it depends on where u live in the uk. if you can get uziza , you can also get oha, in london go to pechkam, dalston; woolwich, upton park etc
Oha is in london
Madam you don finish me . Now I'd have to salivate in vain for the rest of the day .
