Outstanding video for someone like me who is getting ready to build my first computer! Exactly what I needed to see, step-by-step. I'm really glad I bought this case after seeing how easy it will be compared to the old cases! Thanks a bunch.
I know this reply is a bit late. But this case was made to fit a H100. I have an H100 in my XM mounted on the top inside of the case with 2x 200mm Outside in a Pull config through the Rad. Also added in addition to the Front 200mm one in the side door. So 4x 200mm altogether(2 pushing in, 2 pulling out). With the included 140mm pushing out this setup moves a serious amount of air.
No. That's an standard ATX board. However, despite the fact that this is a Mid tower case, it does have 8 expansion slots and it does support E-ATX and XL-ATX boards. The guy from the video did not mention this very important detail.
very nice video, especially since i'm getting this case next week and to a novice who doesnt know alot of computer hardware, this helped me out alot. thx
try wiggling the power supply cables where they connect to the power supply box...Also make sure that you connected power on connectors from your motherboard to the front of case correctly. You might have them backwards. Not sure if your power supply has one but some have an on off switch..Turn it to On. If those checks fail you might have bad Power Supply.
This case isn't that quiet. If you want a quiet case look at: Antec P280 (awesome case) and Fractal Design R3 and NZXT H2. The P280 is the best case as it is large so you can easily do dual GPU set ups, it has great cooling especially if you stick one extra fan in the front, it is very quiet and is a really good quality I highly recommend you have a look at it.
i went and put a corsair h100 on the top and put the top case fan from cooler master in the side because i have two gtx 550 ti in sli from asus thanks for this review
I got a quick question. I have been looking into this case and the Corsair 550D. I really want a quiet case, but heard the 550D's cooling wasn't that great. So was curious how quiet the HAF XM was?
Hey nice video mate!! but i was wondering is the computer making a lot of noice and it is a good cooling sytem so all the things are not getting too hot ? ;)
I have a question. I'm currently building my own PC with this tower and I cannot seem to figure out where all the fan connectors and LED cords plug in. The manual is about as vague as you can get and I don't see anywhere to put those tiny little light cords as well as the billion little 3-pin adapters that are stuck onto the fan cords.
I have a haf 912. I was originally planning on getting this case when I was going to get the stuff for the build but they didn't have this case at frys at the time. I plan on getting this case for more hard drive spaces and better ventilation. Also, what was the CPU cooler you have?
Is the fan controller on the top of the case actually decent and able to change speeds to a couple of modes, and is the fans quiet as I'm quite sensitive in hearing.
would u please put up a link to that video please. I could not find it on your channel. I'm planning to buy this case together with the h100 and I would really appreciate some ideas on installing the rad on top but under the 200mm fansor vise versa. Thanks!
It definitely can fit 690. You can remove the upper HDD cage and it can fit the longest card you can imagine. 600D is kinda pricey. This, to me, seems the best.
I think HAF 922 is better. The only difference about XM and 922 is that inside is black and 922 is metallic silver. My opinion, not saying anything else just inside look of same design with different color.
Can I send you my full specs for a build? I need a second opinion from someone with more experience. I mainly want to know if I have everything I need and if everything is compatible.
Can you explain for me what that green panel is ? Behind your dvd/cd write, It needs 1 molex and 2 sata i think , but what is it for ? It's already installed in the case when you buy it , but what do you need it for ?
+Karan Christopher Can you explain how it's easier too use that , instead of just plugging in your harddrive on the sata ports ? I realy don't understand hehe , Explain it simple for me please :) I mean isn't the same as the sata plugs ?

You can actually fit up to a 360mm radiator in the top of this case, so yes a H100 fits. (See my personal rig video to see what it looks like)

Great case, kept my pc cool. Just changed my case in 2020.

Great video. Thanks.
Have you gotten around to using that SSD mounting point on the back side of the case, just below the motherboard opening?
great video
was trying to remeber how to do it for my old case!!
Yes you can
ive been waiting for someone to answer this same question. i wanna know if a pushpull can be set up

How would this compare to the Raidmax Viper GX is options, build quality and price?
This might sound like a stupid question, but i'm a bit confused, with the 2 3.5" hot swaps on the front panel, can any 3.5" drive be installed there?
Im gonna buy this case for CM Nepton 280L :)
true, forgot about m-itx cases. Haven't seen one of those in real life for a while now though.
How do you mount a SSD on the side of the case behind the motherboard? with brackets and screws? Do you need to buy something extra?
It definitely can fit 690. You can remove the upper HDD cage and it can fit the longest card you can imagine. 600D is kinda pricey. This, to me, seems the best.
If you did not have the extension cable for the CPU power would it have reached?

How many led lights does this have compared to haf 922 dunno which of these i should get yet
Thank you. Very helpful.
front panel connectors pluged in?
Thank you!
what the max depth rad can you use? before a push pull will pass the io shield?
A dual rad should fit up top
im trying to put 200mm fans in haf 912..where do i connect to motherboard?
nice vid!!! clean and to the point...
will a triple rad fit in this case?
I have install all the components but the pc does not start on ??? any ideas which could couse this...
ofc you can this is a full tower
where do you find the cpu extension?, i can't find it
i know. but do u know the model?
Could I fit a Corsair H80 Hydro Series High Performance CPU Cooler in this case?
What is that cooler?
You could even fit a triple rad with push and pull config!!!!
can i fit a stock intel cpu cooler in this case?
But I still like the HAF 912
Thermaltake Frio OCK
Great ! I feel like I could do it now :)
awesome.

+Jonn44ss hot swaps
Karan Christopher And whats that ?
+Jonn44ss for easy and frequently removed or transported harddrives
+Karan Christopher Can you explain how it's easier too use that , instead of just plugging in your harddrive on the sata ports ? I realy don't understand hehe , Explain it simple for me please :) I mean isn't the same as the sata plugs ?
With the hot swaps you can easily remove the drives without taking apart the case or removing any wiring
This or the 500R? ?
Does this case support ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard?
ive a h100 in mine
I felt like a bit of an idiot asking but better safe than sorry haha Thanks again :)
Should have got this instead of the Haf 912 because of the size
not an m-itx case! Saw that happen to my friend.
thanks :)
will the EVGA gtx 980 fit in this case?
+Richard Powell Yes
+ThinkComputers Thank You :)

Comment installer trois disques dur faut achèter trois câbles sata ? French .
You just use screws, they're included with the case
No, that is bolted, glued and welded to the case, sry
just about every case can fit a stock cooler.
I hate it when both top comments are replies to the same, stupid, obviously troll comment.
its like drinking coca.cola on a pepsi mug
its like wearing adiddas shoes with nike socks
wtf is on top of ur cpu
There is room for 2x 200mm fans :)
cooler master case and thermaltake cpu cooler, is like having a macbook pro with windows.
Why does the amount of LED fans matter lol. Anyway, the HAF XM has 1 200mm red LED fan in the front.
you should have done it to a huger case so it would be funny...
Sry I don't really know
just go to a hardware store and find the fitting screws :)
500R

Nope, sry
that's just stupid, of course no, you can't fit a stock cooler on that case, you can only fit a quad 200mm cooler on that......... XD
This has to be the stupidest question I have ever heard. I hope you're trolling lol.
