I also struggle w/ laziness-knowing, as we all do, just getting started is the key. Then momentum takes over & before u know it you’ve been rocked out 1, 2+ hrs of focused work
I do it for a few reasons, one not mentioned is to help remember. I don't have the best memory so a summary means I don't have to keep rewatching to take it in probably. I have to record and reply my lessons before I fully remember/understand everything 😣 very tiring.
I'm like this, I used to be worse. But I've brain washed myself to favour benefits of doing the work. Turning myself into an ambitious, motivated, lazy perfectionist 😂. Stress has caused me to romanticise my blissfully lazy past. I have now declared war on my laziness, some battles I will win, some I won't, but I will learn and grow through out them. My aim is to increase my success rate so I can win the war. I used to be able to go 3 weeks being lazy 😊. Then only 3 days before the laziness went from blissful to irritating. I'm trying to take notice of the warning signs that I'm going to slip into laziness "quick sand" and try to take the steps needed to stop it. Also using my stubbornness to help me be firm with my desire to win.
Rick fox my issue turned out to be food related. I cut out onions that were causing me to be inflamed the next day physically and pain which my whole life I thought was normal so I wouldn’t want to get out of bed very much etc and procrastinating was fixed when I went keto.
I think the causes of laziness is broader than this. Mental issues like depression, anxiety etc. are also factors that can lead a person towards laziness.
To avoid being lazy just set a mindset that you should do the tasks early so you wouldn't be bother later and that you can rest much longer after the tasks this will force you to work. 😂 Trust me, it works very well. 😉
From what you said, one can either be lazy or efficient, yet I am the living proof of the contrary. I am the laziest person I know and I have achieved way more than most of people at I know, and I mostly play video games, watch animes or read manga and books during most of my free time. Furthermore, since I'm gonna work in the video game industry, all my "time lost" doing "unimportant" stuff is gonna greatly help me in the future. In fact, I am already better at designing games and tv shows than a lot of professionals out there.
I greatly appreciate the video content, Practical Wisdom! However, I am curious about a thing. All the activities mentioned in the "strategic laziness" seem like a leisure to me. I was just confused since from my perspective, those "lazy activities" were done as a form of reward after accomplishing tasks. Nevertheless, the idea was still spot-on and truly valuable! Looking forward to more of your content!
So what I'm doing is strategic laziness. On weekdays, I'm a workhorse. But on weekends I'm so lazy. I even forgot to shower sometimes. I'm naturally lazy. I always seek the easiest way but I don't let my laziness stop me from being successful. I always use my free time to recharge my battery. I categories the tasks and prioritize what I need to accomplish quickly. Just be consistent. Weekday is for work weekend is for relaxing.
I tend to get bored with totally undirected time or going with impulse. I enjoy time more when it's spent on something directed or that I intended to do. Working off a to-do list all day is fine if the activities are varied and personally chosen.
ive gotten to the point where im so chronically lazy that i cant do anything about it. ive had so little positive experiences with working hard and achieving something that i just dont care anymore. its no longer worth it to me and rewards have no effect
After spending literally many years of my young life, seeing articles or video titles promising the key or steps to overcoming procrastination, it just provokes negative thoughts that it won't work because I won't find the will to become motivated. To truly overcome procrastination, you must discover what is stopping you. Usually it's fear, and fear is quite a good external or extrinsic motivator, but works only momentarily. Discover your intrinsic motivator, something that means the world to you, and there you go. Productivity. Hopefully 😂 All that's left is overcoming your psychological blocks and chemical imbalances.
I did this, if I don't have a routine/schedule/list of stuff to do, then guaranteed I wouldn't do anything. They at least help give me a fighting chance 😅
Im lazy but when im doing something im enjoying it. But the thought of doing it again made me feel down because im too lazy to do it. But when im doing it again im enjoying . What the heck is wrong with me
Well explained. Looks like I am not lazily lazy. You see..in life..in our life nothing is bad and nothing gets wasted, same goes with laziness. If used properly as a weapon laziness can make you more productive and motivated.Use laziness like you do nothing while fueling you car.✌️😉
Dam school made me lazy because it was to easy for me didn’t study till my sophomore yr bc I could pass just by showing up to class(mix of a’s mostly b’s and c in English and Spanish) still I barely study but kinda push myself now by taking harder classes making me study to pass
Respectively tony the lazy mechanic is putting in the same amount of effort to finish the job plus playing games. Wether your unscrewing a bolt all at once or quarter turns every 5 minutes you still exert the same amount of effort to complete the task wether taking longer or not.
Maybe one way to solve the "minimum input" to work is to find out why someone is lazy. Maybe the person dislike her/his job. In the aforementioned case the mechanic guy has his father business....
The art in this video is great, and it's a shame some of it is only shown for about a second. and its very distracting how one second the screen is full of drawings, and suddenly it all becomes blank. You should try and work on smoother transitions.
The video is awesome and super informative, but some scenes were moving too fast one after another and felt a little dizzy, maybe a tat slower would be awesome... hope I explain it well, I'm not that good at this :)
I used to get outside and run 2km each day. Once I even did 4km of cardio in the hot sun. But then i just stopped doing it. And I just stay in my room and on my laptop for the entire day. I don't even want to walk 100meters. I'm so annoyed of myself and I need help
Having to work more than 2 hours a day is slave labour and is completely due to feudalism and urban living. With the right crops we can live on the land perpetually only working very rarely (even less than 2 hours a day.) If it were not for feudal civilisation there would be no patents and hobby scientists would work to create all our technologies and they would make them simple enough to create blueprints that anyone could use. This will all be possible when robots are advanced enough if we dismantle the infrastructure that protects the power and business elite, but until then we should still have to work only 3 hours a day because we create too many goods by working 8 hours or more a day which are bad for the environment. We can get luxury by artistically training our senses to heighten our sense of colour and form and sound tone etc, by having lots of spare time for refining ourselves and each other philosophically, ethically, in iq and eq, aesthetically and spiritually and scientifically. We don’t need excess junk objects, we need to be realistic and sustainable about which objects really improve our lives. The objects that improve our lives like the computers that give us a few hours of the internet a day can all be created and maintained by volunteer work until robots can do it all in a few decades. It is good to be lazy because you think when you are not doing much, it is western meditation to relax and ponder and reflect and analyse and problem solve, it is eastern meditation to calm yours and other peoples emotions and find peace and the perfect mind for doing skilfully. 8 hours or more of work a day is destroying people. It must stop.
It might not be laziness. Get assessed for ADD, depression, etc. Some people struggle with low energy for all of their lives due to mitochondrial did function.
Offer a lazy person an egg and they'll want you to peel it for them rofl! Btw: I lost 20 pounds in 2020 and kept it off. (I'm 5 foot 5 inches in height and weigh 124 pounds, female)
Flower Dessert First you have to look into what is that you want to do, who are those people to you, and why they don’t want you to do it. After you figure that out, decide if you would be better off separating yourself from the people around you and find a new environment. In the case you can’t just be away from these people, you can decide to just ignore them and do your thing. Don’t give in into their negativity.
@@notyourtypicalmidwife9545 Thank you! I think it's too late too now. But I will still move forward. Lately, I let my anger get the best off me. I'm trying to find a new environment. But it's not easy with no support.

I've seen what you've done here

Thanks I couldn't be bothered to watch the whole video

I'm soo lazy that I couldn't watch the whole vedeo

Who would. It’s 10 minutes long

Omg 🤦♀️😭🤣🤣🤣
I am a lazy person, I seek the summary in the comment section first than watch the whole video
Well your only human
But of course that is an excuse I tell myself
That is not necessarily lazy, many people do that to save time by looking if the content is worth nefore investing more time in the video

Laziness causes depression, but depression gets you into a habit of laziness. It's a never ending cycle ;;_;;
Hi all... Laziness stems from anxiety, it’s avoidance part of anxiety!!! You are not lazy, you have all the power, don’t let other label you!
I LOVE your omment.😀🙏

Lazy people just lack motivation and don’t know where they are headed in life.
Finding passion will strip them from laziness like it never was there.
I think lazy people lack discipline over motivation.
How can we find passion.

there are ways to train yourself i to routines but being lazy or efficent is in our blood.
True
I need routine or nothing gets done

When I ask my friend, why he's lazy. He told me to test the limits of his power(leave homework to last day)
Your friend is just like me i study for a test two hours before the test and i get an A so my power has no limits tell him his doesent either
Haha true he get best grade out of everyone in the class XD
Power of consistency while testing your limits is better than testing your limits without consistency
