Great race, with some great , great horses taking part. My money was on good old Saint Are, Oscar Time and the Druids Nephew. The last two, plus Lord Windermere were all sired by the stallion Oscar, who l believe ran third in the Arc years ago. A flat horse, who got national hunt runners, a lot of whom were very talented, one being the ill fated Oscar Whiskey, Lisnagar Oscar being another top horse. For a stud fee of £7,000 gns, that was real value for money ! I loved watching this replay, the very brave Many Clouds battling on hard to win. Lovely memories of these wonderful chasers.

A great win for this lovely chaser, it just saddens me to remember how he lost his life running against, and beating the talented Thistlecrack 🥀
