question: can I use the saline solution that I use to store my contact lenses?
In the near future it's probable that you'll be able to use this device and similar tech to do all those cool, custom preference things you want in a video game and many other applications. It's only a matter of time.
do you have to saline the sensors every time or just the first time they are used.
is there software for this headset to program words to match the nodes?

Whoa. You are behind the times.
tDCS shows we can send signals of 2mA into the brain harmlessly. In fact, it 'biases' the neurons to fire faster.
The USB comes with the headset and the software is downloadable from their website.
Hi , I can't connect to my emotiv headset with my epoc control panel and when i connect it to (my emotiv) app it keep sending signals frequently and then stops . my headset is fully charged

Hi, could you possibly give me any info you have on hooking up the head set to a midi device for music playback? I'm researching use of the Epoc Headset for live music performance but being able to improvise sections on the fly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
You'd most likely have to be able to access the raw data and convert it into midi using something like python. wiki.python.org/moin/PythonInMusic I produce music as well and do some software development, lets hook up over g+. I am debating if I should get the EPOC neuroheadset or the EEG version.

So, might be worth having a bit more of a chat about possibilities. I'll inbox you and let's go from there. Still deciding on which head set myself too btw but having rung and spoken to the 3 main providers i think it looks like the EEG headset. More wonga but worth having a comprehensive piece of kit. Lol I keep seeing stuff like this and it makes me so excited. I don't think SAO is quite that close tho xD Transferring your consciousness into a virtual 3D server, and controlling an 2D avatar are kinda different. However it's definitely a big step! Keep advancing technology!
I can't train neutral for my device... I just keep an error telling me that the signal is noisy. Does anyone know how to fix this? (All my sensors are green)

It's getting there, that's for sure. Development of this, and the Oculus Rift are pushing farther and farther towards VR Tech, but Full Dive probably won't happen until around 2022 like SAO predicted. That technology is still well beyond what Oculus and Emotive are putting out at the moment.

Considering they make contact using non-conductive felt pads saturated with conductive saline, hair shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure there's a sufficient amount of saline on each pad and it should soak through your hair.
I just hope you don't mind wet spots in your hair. XD
my emotiv headset came with corroded sensors and no warranty card...
This IS a neurofeedback device.
How it works? It measures/records electrical activity from your brain and displays it on screen so you can use it as feedback in relation to whatever method/exercise/practice you are employing. It might be useful for you if you want to learn to relax yourself deeply to reduce pain and increase well being.

could this work if you put the technology of this into a dog's collar and a human wear's the headset and you could understand the thought of the dog's

Hi, I am using Emotive headset in my project I download the program, it gives me that their is a good signal but all the dots are black so what can I do ??

Does it work better if you are bald? I saw a lot of demo with bald guys. I would hate to shave just for that.
16 SENSORS???? WHERE ON EARTH ARE THE OTHER 2 SENSORS? i CANNOT SEEM TO FIND THEM. i HAVE CHECKED NOT ONLY ON THE DEVICE ITSELF, BUT ALSO ON THE WEBSITE AND ALL USER MANUALS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE!! IT SAYS IT HAS 14 SENSORS, AND I EVEN COUNTED MY VERY OWN EPOC AND CAME UP WITH 14 SENSORS!
SO...HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH 16 SENSORS MACK??

Hey! So what is this? The video doesn't actually say. I stumbled onto it when searching tDCS devices. I'm guessing it's a neurofeedback device. I'm also interested in those, but none of the home devices terribly impressed me. But this one looks interesting.

Nerve Gear Theory Google + community. Unlike ones that people have started in the past I'm keeping it updated. I can't even pull out felt pads from hydrator's pack. They are so firmly entrenched there, i am trying 1 hour to get them out, without success. Btw return policy is 25% fee, plus you pay shipping. What a inferior trash. Someone else pulled them out for me eventually, but still some went out normally and some were firmly stuck there, only 2 stayed there at the end and i wasn't able to pull them out 2 hours and 30 minutes... While i was pulling them out without force, black part of one of the felt pad fallen out and i was trying to put it back gently and it is already frayed... And also you need not only pull, but rotate them to the left!!! Which is not written in manual... BTW what are you doing, you set it to on, while you talk about charging. In manual is specifically written to set it off, before charging. Device is working, but it is very hard to focus !!! Depends on people some can master it quickly for some it takes while.And it hurts my head after 15 minutes and after hour a lot and i don't have big head. It is firmly pressed to your scalp for contact. Maybe for someone else it is okay, but for me it is uncomfortable.

I used it a few times. two box packs were broken. a chronic problem device. The company does not protect its customers. I definitely do not recommend it. Pack is chronically problematic. The company does not produce a solution to this situation. He sold the product, took the money and got the job done.

Unfortunately after researching their products, I could not find anything they offer of practical use, other than personal research. Even Nuerosky's junk headset could 7/10 times vocalize "Yes" or "No" when it finally connects.
