Korey out here looking like a Pimp Called Slickback !
😂I can't unsee it 😂😂😂
A Pimp Named* Slickback.
Yes, it matters lol.
A Pimp “Named”* Slickback, good sir. Not trying to start anything, Just trying to stop the trolls from coming after you.
NO RELATION
Damn, Korey is Dressed Like a Cosplay Willy Wonka Pimp 😂
When I saw the trailers, I thought _Wonka_ was going to be just another cynical nostalgia-bait cash-grab. I was pleasantly surprised. It had so much heart. 🥰 This version of Willy Wonka was so earnest and sincere that it makes me wonder how the Gene Wilder version became so jaded and misanthropic toward kids. Very interesting. I overall agree with Korey.
Well just look at how most parents are lol
This Willy Wonka Version Looks Sincere & Honestly Well EarnyTo The Original Classic Of Willy Wonka
Really…when I saw the trailer I got teary eyed, but I only seen it once at the Barbie movie
He is later betrayed by his factory workers whom he had treated like family, and that's what makes him jaded and a recluse. (It's explained in the book and also in the Depp film.) This film explains why he would come to treat his factory workers like family.
The costumes the banter y’all are the best reviewers out there. Keep it up everybody
Their poor things review is hilarious!
Julian is the appalachian version of the oompa loompa. 😂
🤣🤣
To Martin’s point, Chalamet talked like he was trying to be whimsical, whereas the past Wonkas just were whimsical.
0:25 Korey Willy Wonka!
1:13 Oompa Lumpa Lumberjack!
4:43 Here's Blink on head!
8:01 Gene Wilder is Crazy!
9:14 crack Chocolate
24:17 What's wrong with that guy
28:39😮
Korey lookin like Oompa Loompas betta have my money!!!😂
These guys are the best movie reviewers, hilarious as fuck😂
Best reviewers
The moment I heard Korey singing I knew he was gonna be wearing a costume! 😂
I just recently saw Wonka in the theater for the first time and I’ve been watching a ton of TH-cam reviews to see what people say about the film. I know I have my own thoughts on it, but I have to say of all the review videos I’ve watched so far, your review has brought me the most joy. It put a big smile on my face. I love your format and sense of humor. Keep up the great work!
"Come with me and you'll see a show that needs explanation." 😂😂😂
I want Corey to dress up for every movie review hahahaha
Me Too & Korey Will Even Pull Out a Martin Luther King Jr Costume
I see The Artist Formerly Known as Korey is the host for today.
Director Paul King said that Timothee got the part without an audition. King watched the viral video where Timothee was rapping with his "Lil Timmy Tim" alter ego that shows his singing and dancing talent which was already enough for King to cast him as young Willy Wonka
Wow
I made a comment when y'all covered the Wonka trailer. And I said: "The one thing that I absolutely love about this trailer is that it has got: Heart. The set pieces, costumes, down to the crazy whacky inventions, etc. Even if the movie did "decent" or "okay" I think the overall objective is to sit back, relax, and enjoy a world of pure imagination and if it can do that then it has done it's part! Nothing more, nothing less"
And it did just that! Bravo to everyone involved in Wonka!
Wonka is made of chocolate here 😂
The costumes have me crying rn 😂😂😂
Corey's wig looks better than the Tyler Perry wigs
I love how they dressed up together that’s fun😊
Julian Oompa Loompa is killing me 😭
I enjoyed it. The people in my theater lingered because it was nice being in that world for 2 hours.
Why is Korey dressed as Lionel Richie? 🤣🤣🤣
The box office prove korey right and martin wrong. The audience embraced Chamalet performance, the whole movie wouldnt work without his energy and charisma. I loved his Arc
20:50 makes me laugh so hard 😂 “You wretched little Bastard “
I love when you guys wear costumes! It enhances the already amazing movie review
Korey absolutely crushed with this costume🤣🤣🤣🤣. Martin as expected was too cool for school.
Martin doesnt Have to do cosplay, but so glad Julian is game. So glad Chris is gone
he would never do cosplay
Never did I expect Double Toasted to acknowledge *'The Mighty Boosh'* , the greatest show of all time!
Martin really hates our boy Timothee.
My issue with this interpretation of Wonka is how it removes all of the anti-capitalist rhetoric that is found in the book. No longer is this a story about a crazed and troubled man who has a monopoly on chocolate, uses slave labor, and fires all of his employees because he felt like they were conspiring against him. Now it’s a movie about how hard work and determination can lead a man to success. The film lacks nuance and depth, and while it makes for a decent family film, it’s disappointing that they’ve reduced Roald Dahl’s work to a simple Paddington-esque story.
Very true. Many an interpretation of classic books no longer stay true to form. It’s no surprise they would never touch Animal Farm
Well personally I see that as an improvement.
If you're an anti capitalist, then sure, that kind of story includes more "nuance."
There is depth in saying, "If you continue striving towards something, you can possibly achieve it." People who are any anti status quo think that whatever is common has zero purpose, lacks detail, and has little higher meaning.
The purpose of anti - anything is being against something. That is its explicit purpose and what it strives to achieve.
The "working hard" idea gets at working to achieve something that you've put strenuous thought and massive amounts of time into. That is the explicit purpose of striving towards this specific goal.
Anti capitalism also has explicit goals: key ingredients of it are bucking against the status quo, hating anything that's common other than what they believe, and working to instill the purposes of their political beliefs onto people. This works much like religion.
People rallying for anti capitalism isn't rare these days. In fact, most people use the "late stage capitalism" reason for anything under the sun.
The American goal has specific purposes and goals it works towards. Anti capitalism has the same. They both include the overused word "nuance" in what they do.
Also, the 70s Wonka "teaches" this lesson, but most children aren't watching the movie for this purpose.
Sometimes, you want a kids' movie that teaches you that having goals and hard work isn't necessarily a bad thing. Lol
We need a movie that shows the transition from this Wonka to the Wonka we know and love, in the style of There Will Be Blood
Korey, these reviews do not require these outfits at all but damn do I appreciate them xD
I agree with Martin. I like my Wonka with a little edge, that's what makes him different.
I see Corey in Costume... I Click... It's Simple
Im glad to hear this isnt another Oz The Great and Powerful situation
Julian's Oompah Loompah is more unsettling than the boat ride from the original film.
When I saw that hat I knew it was going to be a good morning 😅
You guys need to do a Retro Review of the Tim Burton Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
You'll come to find it's a fantastic re-adaptation of the original story, that was unfairly lambasted by thr public for being a "remake" when it wasn't trying to in the slightest.
Thank You,,,,Finally someone else other than Myself who knows that the TIM BURTON/JOHNNY DEPP Movie stayed more Faithful to ROALD DAHL'S Book CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY 😃👍😃👍
I can understand why it didn’t work for everybody cause to them it’s not as whimsical or delightful as the Wilder version and that it was too dark and creepy, due to Depp’s Wonka, but I always find it gets unfair hate as it’s not a remake.
I view it as another adaptation of the book and while I’m not someone who goes, “It’s faithful to the book, it’s automatically good.” cause some things don’t translate well on screen like it does on the page, but it was clear that Burton’s goal was to honor Dahl’s vision of the story how he wanted it.
Na 😂 Johnny Depp was awful in the role.
If only is wasn't so annoying & without depth.
@CapitonnePlanet he was great to me
Julian looks like Fuzzy Lumpkins mixed with The Joker lol
I see korey got that soul glow in for this episode lol 😂😂
It's always great when everyone cosplays for reviews. EDIT: plural
I KNEW IT I KNEW YOU WOULD DO IT. I thought y'all didn't even read comments you dressed up just like I asked 😂😂😂
Julian looking like he randomised his Stardew Valley character.
The intro😫🤣🤣🤣 Ready for the world curls💀💀
PURPLE RAIN PUURPLE RAIN
I laughed so fucking hard from Julien's costume
Korey out here looking like a Playa from the Himalayas!
I'm middle of the road on Chalamet's performance. I think he's generally good, but when he tries to dial up the whimsy it comes off as a little corny. And I think his singing is good, but the performance he gives on screen doesn't match the vocals he recorded well enough. I actually really enjoy most of his songs in the movie (A Hatful Of Dreams has been stuck in my head ever since I saw the movie a month and a half ago), but when you watch him in the scene, it looks more like he's quietly singing to himself, rather than projecting his voice like the actual vocal track sounds like.
That thumbnail 😂
We need a Wonka and the Chocolate Hoes movie ASAP
That stretch comment 😂 GOLD !!
Corey reminds of Paul Mooney as Negrodamus 😂
That opening was perfect 😂😂😂
Wonka may be the only movie I'm curious to see this holiday season
Korey costume is fire but let’s not sleep on our Oompa Loompa friend, he did his thing too 😂🔥
Korey looks like Alabaster Jone's competition from the OKC
Corey looking something out of Dave Chapelle player haters episode 😂😂
I think the very first end of the movie “stinger” is from the 1979 The Frogs when a cartoon frog gobbles up the human hand from the movie poster.
Soul Glo Wonka 😂😂 god tier costume Korey
This review brought to you by Soul Glo. LOL this was unique Korey. I'm definitely going to go see this movie, I'm pretty excited.
EDIT: Okay, that was until I saw Julien. Gotdamn it LMAO
It’s the wig and hat for me 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nah yall some wild boys. Swear I love this show it’s a bunch of men I can identify with talking about shit I like. I gotta catch DT live seriously
Julien, the first oompa loompa with a perm
Looks like Corey want to sing "Let me Love you down" lol.
LOL Julien’s fit goin crazy
Korey looks like alternate version of Wonka that grew up in 1980’s Compton
What in the Mongolian water wave lace front?? Hahaha!
I thought it was a solid movie. Good for family viewing; that Paddington charm. I do agree Timothee did not have the vocals for the music, but otherwise, he has the charm.
Costumes look great, guys!
Even though this film did not need to be made, I have to give it props for not race swapping Willy Wonka.
Just Let that SOUL GLOOOOWW!!!
Does the Snoz Berries still taste like Snoz Berries 😂
A cute movie tackling corruption
That movie was good but that man on Double Toasted with that outfit is funny as hell.
Kory look like Wonka and Coming to America came together and brought a drunk Jersey guy from St Patrick’s day bar crawl
The cosplay skills on display are amazing!🔥🔥🔥
Best cosplay. It worked with their review of Iron claw
Koret remind me of Axel in Harlem
Just let your soul gloooooooooow!
😂❤❤
That intro🙌🏾⭐️🔥
Wonka is going to be awesome 😎
An epic way to start my morning😂
Gene Wilder's Wonka still existed in a realistic universe.
Seen the thumbnail instant click 😂😂😂😂
Homeboy looks like he’s cosplaying as Dave Chappelle cosplaying as prince
Looks like Korey is a character in a neo-Blaxploitation flick.
You mean a Tyler perry flick?
@@pheunithpsychic-watertype9881 If you're referring to the bad wig, then yea. lol
Saw this yesterday and enjoyed it, Low Matinee! I thought Chalemet did pretty good, the story was enjoyable and light and I really liked the song “Do You Have a SweetTooth?” between the chocolate cartel and the chief of police. The way they shot Olivia Colman’s character, she kept reminding me of the Trunchbull from Matilda, it was probably intentional. When they described the chocolate cartel in the movie, it reminded me of Mr Fox setting up the characters of Boggs, Bunce and Bean, I’m thinking there were some subtle Easter eggs.
The box office is stellae, clearly Korey was right.
I have to say, now that it’s on HBO, I gave it a watch, and I surprisingly enjoyed it. Are there some parts I didn’t like, yeah. It’s not an amazing movie, but it’s certainly cute.
Definitely a good film. They could’ve cut out some parts to really make it. Just a tad better but overall pretty well done. Chalamet did a good job , as did Hugh Grant
When are you guys going to speak on the Bob Marley One Love movie trailer? y'all just skipped right past that Willy Wonka is forever but this Bob Marley movie is a one-time thing
Have you reviewed Doctor Who 60th Anniversary Specials on Disney+?
I've seen it on BBC One and I came out a hugely disappointed and goving up Doctor who as a whole!
I figured it out. Martin does mental gymnastics while watching movies 😂 he finds ways to like horrible things and finds ways to dislike great things lmao
Nah, i hate negativity. If martin was always like this I would have unsubacribed. This was fun criticism. I think chamalet was Perfect
They (the reviewers) remind me of Blaine and Antoine from Men On......from FOX's 'In Living Color'
Korey looks like Max Julien in that costume.
I never knew I needed black Willy Wonka 😂😂😂
Who cares about skin color Wonka is a man
Fun fact, the original Charlie in the book was supposed to be black but Dahl was forced to change that.
I thought that thumbnail was an edit, I didn't know you had a Gene Wilder costume Korey.
The only thing Timothee didn't have in this movie is strong vocals but I thought they still were good enough. Overall, this is a good family movie it was funny and charming.
*me laughing like Peter Griffin*
“…moist…”
amazing 😂
The downstairs mix-up!
Baseball is a good metaphor because in casting. You can't necessarily hit it on the nose. Thats not always a home run. You gotta know launch angle.
You gotta try to uppercut that casting. Hitting it on the nose can easily result in an easy out.
What was the website again the whistle caught me off guard
Willy Wakanda. 😁
Little Richard and the Chocolate Factory
