Class 4-80. No one knew what Rangers were back then. Remember chanting the "Airborne Ranger" cadence during basic. Asked my buddy what a Ranger was. He didn't know either. 22 of us graduated from the original 150+ starting. I made it through by the grace of God. Asked each day for God to get me through that day. Couldn't do anything about yesterday. Did not have the strength to worry about tomorrow. Quitting was not an option. 45 yrs later it is still one of my best accomplishments in a life filled with accomplishments, where it is good to be me! Blown away about the information out there now for any that want to knowledge up before attending the "Suckfest" called Ranger School. Thank you for this!
Five mins in and I’m sold! Son is an 18X about to start Airborne and we listened to Zach Hughes 6-part Green Beret Journey series. This is in the same vein and it’s awesome hearing your day-to-day narrative. Can’t wait to watch your subsequent vids. Thanks for posting and for your service! RTLW! 🍻
I graduated Ranger Class 7-93; I’m looking forward to the changes in how the RI’s teach the course. By the way, your “What is War: An exploitation of Art and Science” video helped me in my Joint Warfare degree classes. Thanks much for your time and effort! TJV.
Thank you for this! Getting some insights into Ranger School is extremely helpful. I am looking forward to you posting your experiences for the following days.
I graduated ranger school and went to battalion 1/75th Hunter airfield Ga. in 1984. Went on to the Gulf war and made 1st sgt before I left the military. I remember one of our runnings songs in the 1/75th was called Napalm sticks to kids....I dont think they can sing that today. The first day I was at pre ranger that night they threw a tear gas grenade in the barracks at 3am....if you ran outside without your weapon you got dogged. The worst was a group of alaskan guys... they passed out on every run...it was july in Georgia........lol.

I graduated before the school was open to women. I don't like to give advice. If you keep watching the stories you'll likely be able to glean helpful things :-)
No woman has really passed Ranger School. Any that have the Tab were massively helped. They cheated and they were allowed to because of the optics. Fecking disgusting woke behaviour.
Hey nimrod, those two women didn't "pass" diddley-squat. Their hands were held through the entire process. Educate yourself before you make stupid remarks like that one.
@@jameshughes1190 since you didn’t serve, which you clearly didn’t, you probably shouldn’t even make a comment my guy. Now NO ONION on my Whopper cause burgers are the ONLY thing you’ve ever served. Lastly, the Ranger Tab doesn’t make you a fucking Ranger. Being in Batt and wearing the scroll does, and Ranger School is just a stepping stone to staying at Batt once you’re COC thinks you’re ready. And if a 38 year old mom passed, she’s probably got a bigger cxck than you and if you’ve got kids, probably not yours. Just saying my guy.

For the love of the ranger tab please god do more! Hoah?
Hey, did you have any women in any of the cycles you've encountered? Do you have any advice besides the ranger handbook?

Sometimes Army Airborne get peered out, by these other branches and foreigners. They get their feelings hurt.
Nice shirt.
What if had to piss
Girls graduate Ranger school now so......... And by the way, it would be helpful if your story was entertaining in some small way..
@@john1965411 what year did you graduate Ranger school?
Women passing Ranger School. Makes real Rangers look bad. Thanks to the Bullshit politics. Trump's gonna change that Shit.
How tough can it be when a 38 year old mother of two can pass? I think you 'Rangers' have been kidding us on how tough it is.
Let’s see your tab
I never claimed to be a soccer mom.
@@jameshughes1190 still something you’ll never achieve so unless you’ve completed the school I’d just shut your mouth
