Captain Teevan was my pilot a year ago on my first trip to the UK. Outstanding crew and perfect flight. The Irish accents of the cabin crew as well as the flight crew were delightful.

I know it's predictable that we're all mentioning their gender, but in the airline industry it's still quite uncommon. This makes such videos a welcome sight. Great work, ladies. You're real ambassadors.

It's uncommon because it's 2022, gender is now a social construct. Therefore a pilots gender is irrelevant.

As a man, and a lucky uncle, with a love of planes and a niece who seems to share my passion and is just 5 years old, I want to thank the women of this particular flight crew and Aer Lingus for making my niece's eyes light up when she saw this video. In her future, the world of a bright and remarkable tomorrow, hopefully an all female flight crew on any flight will attract as little attention as an all male line up.

I hate people like you. You make it sound like we need to get rid of all men pilots. Hey, sorry to tell you but 95% of commercial pilots are men. That’s the way it’s always been, and that’s the way it always will be. Many girl pilots don’t retire at the airlines, many quit when they become mothers, spouses, or because it’s just too hard for them. I’d prefer to have a male in the flight deck. You’re politicizing aviation with this whole women pilot crap.
There are a few TH-cam channels featuring women pilots and all women crews in the cockpit. Just type it in the m TH-cam search bar. I'm sure your niece will love them.

I had a female first officer on my flight. I've been flying with Thomas cook for 6 years. That was the best landing I had! She was amazing along with her crew!!
I have watched this so many times - love it - the communications, the scenes from the aircraft, the music - excellent!
Proud to see Ireland leads the way! Three young female pilots. But then I remembered the best stunt airdisplay I ever saw at Abbeyshrule was by a female pilot back in the 1980s More recently the spectacular Thunderbirds display at Galway more than half were female. Rock on ladies!

I don't know if the Aer Lingus Crews get extra or special Training in Soft Takeoffs and Landings or why they do a better Job than lots of other Airlines. I noticed that on all of the Takeoffs and Landings while flying with Aer Lingus from LA to Dublin and back! I was very impressed!
Their planes are lighter, Ryanair fill the bottom up with cargo parcels etc so everything is a bit harder when they land. Also I believe Ryanair pilots are trained to not use certain flaps for landing to save fuel.

we will be flying that route this year...took along ime to save up..off to Ireland for ancestry and to visit sites of my Grandparents, Great Grandparents and Uncles...Clonmel, Cahir and Ballingcolleg. Then over to Birmingham to visit family that I haven't seen in 30 years one sister and 53 years one cousin...we chose Lax Dublin as we know no one in London so chose Birmingham as that very close to folks...just cannot wait to board..all the videos of Aer Lingus look super esp staff.... nervous but bucket list at my ripe old age..trip entrusted to Aer Lingus and rightly so given my 45% Irish...lol love and hugs to all.

Fine Irish lasses flying Aer Lingus! Love the camera angles. What was the flight time heading West? My wife and I flew Aer Lingus to Shannon from Boston Logan on a 757. The service was friendly and attentive, from start to finish. My wife slept while I watched the movie Goodfellas on the seat back and our flight attendant, John, kept me supplied with "some" Jamesons.

Several years ago I flew Southwest Ailines and the pilot was a woman. She had a sense of humor. When pulled up to the terminal she hit the brake a little too hard, and the passengers all lurched forward. Instead of apologizing she said, " We're here" and all the passengers laughed.

Col James Fitzmaurice (Irish Air Corps) who was part of the 3 man crew of The Bremen which completed the first East West Transatlantic Flight in 1928 would be very impressed by this all female Irish crew. Awesome is the only word I can think of.
I think the first East West crossing was by Airship, the R34, about ten yeasr earlier.

If at all possible I always try to fly with Aer Lingus no matter where I’m going to they are the best all round affordable airline. Got into Dublin from Munich one morning to find mine and several other passengers luggage was still in Munich. They told me they would have it delivered to my home address by late afternoon or early evening, as I live in Belfast I was a wee bit sceptical of this claim but sure enough at 6pm the doorbell rang and there was a man in an Aer Lingus van with my case , great service and didn’t make an empty promise.

There's an almost identical video of Aer Lingus' first flight to Seattle, except that the flight crew is all male. If you ever doubt that sexism is still a problem, just look at the comments on that video versus the comments on this one. There are still so many people who just cannot accept women participating in society, especially in positions of power. That's why we need videos like this, to show people that women work just as hard as men do (harder, even, given that they also have to deal with sexual harassment), and that there's nothing they can't do.

This is Aer Lingus' SECOND inagural to LAX...they operated there before, ceased, then re-started. Many people on here probably don't remember them flying A330s to LAX for a period of time before this...
