Staying active with back pain is difficult but a must. When I bend over its always slowly for fear of pulling a nerve. At 69 my mind says yes, my body says We'll see, lol. Thank you, Blessings 🙏

I had a chiropractor literally pounce on me twice to adjust my lumbar. It seemed like she was momentarily possessed at the time. I jumped off the table and said "no more". That night I could not bend or sit without extreme pain. Come to find out she caused pelvic torsion and tore my L-5 disk. I was in such unbelievable pain. Due to such inflammation it then led into polymyalgia. I have been in pain for over two years, on prednisone and, can clearly tell my body will never be the same. It is hard for me to tell whether the injury is causing pain, or the polymyalgia?? As a vegetarian and one who has always been aware of good nutrition, I fear this pain will be with me forever. I am now 70, at a perfect weight and in was physically active. It has changed my life in regards to anything physical, whether a job or activities. I had gone to a PT who performs cranial sacral, twice a month, for two years now and find temporary relief as a result. Beware of chiropractors!

You'll feel better if you find a good attorney to sure the chiropractor. It won't be hard to prove work product destruction.

Thank God I had a good one! I hear nightmare stories of bad ones. My chiropractor helped me get back to walking again when I was 23. I could only take 2" steps. I could barely work but did the full 40 hours a week....the memor of it sends my blood pressure straight up, still. He was a good one.

This is by far the most definitive video I have watch on this topic, thank you so much for explaining in detail
the difference in the problem. I believe without having an MRI at this point I probably have both maladies.
I have watched many of your videos and believe you give the give the most thorough explanations to topics
you describe on your channel, better than any other similar channels. again thank you and bravo to you Sir

My recent MRI shows severe stenosis, herniation at L2 L3, and severe spondylosthises L4 L5 S1, just completed physical therapy. Dr said he would give me a referral for surgery. He said my strength was good in my legs, I dont have incontinence or "foot drop" and if I experience any of those symptoms I need to go to the ER. I'm using a tens unit and exercise daily. Dr gave me a prescription for gabapentin.

Hey adamsmary68, sorry to hear about your stenosis and spondylolisthesis :-(
It's great that you do not have incontinence or foot drop! That's a sign that you can manage this without surgery especially if you're getting stronger in your glutes and abdominal muscles.
Hopefully, your physical therapy has helped. It is common to be sent to a surgeon after a bout of physical therapy. You'll have to decide what's best for you and your specific situation and whether you should go through physical therapy again, get surgery, or find something else that might help you.
We wholeheartedly recommend our 28-Day Back Health & Wellness Boost Program to help you get stronger in the right muscles that set up the excessive pressure in the spine that leads to stenosis and spondylolisthesis injuries. You can learn more about it here:

Good video. I have lumbar stenosis (lateral). My discomfort is relieved by bending forward. I can do mild McKenzie press ups and they work..if I am gentle. But bending forward brings relief.

Moderate degenerative disc change at C5-6 with broad disc bulge and endplate osteophytes eccentric to the LEFT which result in mild spinal cord compression (no abnormal cord signal intensity) and severe LEFT foraminal narrowing compressing the exiting LEFT C6 nerve root. What should i do?

    FINDINGS:
Numbering of vertebrae done from C2. Last well developed intervertebral disc space corresponds to
    L5-S1.
Straightening of the lumbar spine curvature is seen.
Alignment of spine is normal. No antero or retrolisthesis is seen.
Vertebral bodies are of normal signal intensity. No marrow edema seen.
Facet joints are normal in morphology at all levels.
Neural foramina are adequate at all levels.
The conus medullaris is at T12-L1 level.
Spinal cord shows normal signal intensity and morphology.
    Disc degenerative disease as:
L1-L2: No significant disc bulge, canal stenosis or nerve root impingement seen.
L2-L3: No significant disc bulge, canal stenosis or nerve root impingement seen.
L3-L4: No significant disc bulge, canal stenosis or nerve root impingement seen.
L4-L5: Disc desiccation and diffuse disc bulge with right subarticular protrusion
causing eccentric canal stenosis with impingement of right traversing L5 and
abutting left traversing L5 nerve roots. Canal measures ~ 7.0 mm.
L5-S1: Disc desiccation and diffuse disc bulge with posterior central and right
subarticular protrusion impinging on right traversing S1 nerve root. Canal measures
    ~ 8.0 mm.
"SIR THIS IS MY REPORT AND I M CONFUSED WITH STENOSIS AS ITS SHOWS DISC BULGE IS CAUSING IT AS I HEARD THAT STENOSIS HAPPENS DUE TO DEGENERATION OF BONE OR JOINTS AND WHICH GIVES BONE SPUR BUT HERE I M CONFUSED LIKE I M 23 YEARS OLD.
IS THAT STENOSIS CAUSED BY DISC BULGE AND IT WILL GO AWAY IF BISC BULGE GO AWAY.
PLEASE HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND AS I CANT FIND THIS ANSWER ANYWHERE AND VERY WORRIED.

What if no leg pain tho? 17 years of it. I lean forward to decompress the spine as i keep working and as it continues to increase in intensity. Helps s little, but back gets stiff with pain, until i finally stop and when i lay down, which then causes it to hurt so bad that I become unable to breathe. If I cough or sneeze during that, the pain is ungodly, almost equal to when I was on fire when i was a kid. Almost black out every time. Unable to et up or turn over without agony even with help, unless I sleep it off....whichis why I dont stop something I have started until I literally can go no further.

Thank you for explaining the confusing terminology! If someone has I quote the MRI "moderate central canal stenosis and mild right and moderate left foraminal narrowing" due to a herniated C5-C6 cervical disc, and no pain, no myelopathy symptoms but weakness in one arm and neck, what are the chances to recover without surgery (based on your experience)? I was told either to live with it or do a surgery. Trying to decide. Thank you!

  • @Elviretube
    @Elviretube 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

No, just the other way around, bending forward is no problem, no pain,no back pain ever, but standing up, walking is the challenge even with your glute/ab exercises. It is when the spine has all pressure on it. Pain is my butt and back thigh. Yes, MRI tells all, bulging disc at L3/4 and bone spurs. Do NOT choose for surgery. I will do your programs till end of year and do another MRI. NO, no PTs, just YOU! PTs really have no idea how to prevent surgery, been there.
