    Qimir wore his outfit before in a way that it somewhat covered his arms to hide him being well trained. Yeah the plot twist wasn't really a twist, but still love it is him. Manny Jacinto is outstanding actor and he rocks in every scene he is in. His sarcastic tone nad mastery of manipulation is a perfect combination.

    It was a 10 out of 10 for me. I’m an OG Star Wars fan. Stood in line as a seven-year-old boy back in 1977 to watch Star Wars. When I hear all these people talk about how we need more shows like Andor and the Mandalorian because Jedi were extremely rare and most people never encountered them…. nobody fell in love with Star Wars in 1977 because we liked the mechanic shop in Mos Eisley. People fell in love with Star Wars because of light sabers and the Force. It’s just that simple. So I was very excited to see this episode.

      Great take on it. Alot of these other "fans" just hatin. They just dont like the story and thats fine, but they love to throw the word "lore" into their arguments for their hate on it. I think people forget this is Star Wars and its originally for teens and kids. Like people are getting mad that it was obviously Qimir, but its like dude, its not True Detective or Game of Thrones, its star was buddy lol It shouldn't be hard to figure out considering who the audience its for originally.

      Ty for bein here. It's nice to see at least one OG fan having a good time with this show. I'm a relatively new one, became interested during The Mandalorian. I REALLY enjoyed this show! I've seen plenty of other people who feel the same as I, but also loads of negativity and it's been disheartening, so thanks!

      @@perssontm1628 another grown adult mad that it’s for kids lol get mad at George Lucas bro, he’s the one who said it’s for kids. It’s always been for kids, and the new stuff is for a different set of kids. “Bad writing” you mean the writing is not for adults. It’s not an adult show and it never will be. You’ll have certain series like Andor and Rogue 1 that will appeal to the older generations but don’t ever forget Star Wars has always been for kids. You see game of thrones making cartoons? lol there like 6 different Star Wars cartoons that fit into the canon lol bro it’s for kids and there is nothing wrong with that. But I also don’t expect that I’m watching Braveheart or the Shawshank redemption lol 😂

    Vader actually tossed his ignited lightsaber at Luke, and Yoda tossed his ignited lightsaber at a couple of Clone Troopers. The reason why you don't see it as much is because it requires the force user to focus all of their concentration on keeping the blade ignited in mid-air. Think back to when Vader told that rebel to hang out on the ceiling while he mowed down the other dudes. That actually took intense concentration to do that.

    The Sith are fallen Jedi who made their own rival order. You can't create a whole new thing without aspects of it being appealing, and preaching freedom is a good way to do that because it implies someone else is out to take it away, and then by extension, those people must be removed. But with this character, he said "you would call me Sith." That is a very specific word choice. I don't think he is Sith, but he's definitely got the Jehovah's Witness style Sith pamphlets to read from. He might be a fallen Jedi who wishes there were Sith he could go join, but also believes them gone.

So she's probably gambling that he will either not find her, or spare her live, while Mae takes care of Sol. That might also get her back in his good graces. She knows she needs to redeem herself to him. And both of them together under the master is better than being apart.

    He didn't say he was Sith. He said the Jedi would call him a Sith. That was some careful wording from the writers. They just evoked the word.

    Her stun gun works fine, but dude was wearing a cortosis helmet that nullified the blast. The Sith have been around for thousands of years, they just haven't been seen in about 900 years at this point. Qimir isn't a Sith, he says that the Jedi would think he was. This is because the actual master is Darth Tenebrous at this time, and his apprentice is Darth Plagueis. However, Tenebrous had a second, illegitimate apprentice, named Venamis, who could not technically be a Sith, due to the Rule of Two. Venamis attempted to betray Tenebrous, failed, and ended up being tortured to death, revived and killed again, over and over, for decades until he could no longer be brought back. Qimir is almost certainly Venamis, and this is the story of how he betrayed Tenebrous and failed. Also, Tenebrous was on Brendock learning the art of manipulating life from the witches coven when the Jedi showed up. He and Plagueis will take what they learned and try to replicate it mostly without success. After Plagueis kills Tenebrous, he'll take Sidious as his apprentice and continue the experiments, resulting in the immaculate conception of Anakin Skywalker. The four Jedi who went to Brendock killed everyone there to prevent the witches from sharing their knowledge with the wrong people. In order to not disrupt the continuity, everyone who knows about Qimir, his master, and what happened on Brendock will have to die before the show is over. This is why in "The Phantom Menace" Ki Adi Mundi will say that the Sith have not been seen in a thousand years, despite being alive and an active Jedi that has appeared in the show. I think what happens is that this team goes off to catch Mae before she can kill the Wookie Jedi master, and none of them are ever seen again.

    Last thing, the problem Star Wars has is the same as super hero’s in comics has now. Everybody wants to get rid of good vs evil and instead make everything about perspective. Star Wars was built on good vs evil. Disney is trying to destroy the idea of the Jedi. The prequels already did that and it should have ended that idea there. I say that because Luke redeemed the Jedi in the OG trilogy. Since Anakin was brought up, yes he was the savior BUT the Jedi were RIGHT about not brining him in from the beginning. He was to old and he had connections. They also don’t allow Jedi to marry because of look what it did to Anakin. The Jedi are usually right in their ways. They were watching the coven of witches because it’s obvious they were doing something bad with the force. Whatever they did was most likely concocted by the Sith. The Jedi can’t just allow people to practice the force without safeguards because the Sith can use those people to their advantage. Disney needs to get back to making the Jedi the good guys. Everybody tunes in to these forms of media to see the good guys win, not to see the good guys broken down and re-examined.

    1st, please stop calling the fandom toxic for a vocal racist sexist and whatever else minority. The majority of fans who have valid criticisms are not toxic because they don’t like what’s being put out. Fans don’t need to love or like everything that comes out. Now, It’s crazy how lightsaber fights gives people a feeling of intoxication to the point that they think something is better then it actually is. The fights were cool BUT the editing was terrible and it was wayyyy too dark. Could barely see any of it. Def the best from Disney though. That being said the story is still trash and this episode did nothing to change that in my opinion. The choices made in this episode made no sense. Sol hiding while the Jedi fodder was ran though is crazy. Sol and Jecki not fighting Qimir shoulder to shoulder the whole time is just brainless. His helmet comes off and Sol doesn’t read his thoughts. OSHA cares so much for the Jedi but doesn’t want Sol to delete Qimir. Qimir was only weapon less because Sol disarmed him so he should be able to deal the final blow. I mean why would you give a chance for the most dangerous man to get away and commit more crimes? Mae leaves OSHA alone with her master but she loves her? Sol can’t sense that Mae is not OSHA? Why would Sol leave the Wookies lightsaber behind? Why not at least take Jekkis body back to ship? Nothing makes any sense.

      Most of your criticisms of the writing are either 1) easily explainable, 2) common tropes, or 3) wait and see/you’re wrong. This is what people mean about the convo becoming toxic or people being haters bc you aren’t looking at it with a reasonable lens

    • @JBurnz001
      @JBurnz001 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@cajeb5396 so instead of easily explaining things that are easily explainable, you didn’t. If things have to be explained by somebody who is not involved in the show then that means the show isn’t doing their job. As far as tropes, tropes can be a bad thing. There are plenty of tropes that are tiresome and people tend to not like. Now when it comes to criticisms being toxic, that’s the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard. That’s why critics exist, to give valid criticism about things. If I criticize this show for the lazy writing, the terrible editing and lack of focus, that is all valid criticisms from my own experience of the show. Nothing about that is toxic. What I’ve noticed is that anybody who doesn’t like the show or share the same opinions as those of you who like it, we are labeled toxic. It is fans of the show like you who are toxic because you try to gaslight people like me into thinking our opinions are wrong because somehow your opinion is the only right one.

      @@JBurnz001 because you wrote like 10 criticisms that are pretty shallow and I know if I take the time to respond to each one there’s like a 1% chance you respond in any sort of way that’s a constructive dialogue lol

    • @cajeb5396
      @cajeb5396 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Here let’s try it and see how you respond or if you decide to just try to master debate lol.
      The episode looked just fine to me, I could see clearly.
      Nothing says Sol was hiding, that’s your assumption. Sol was in front and looks like he took the brunt of the force push. The Stranger probably pushed him further so that he could slaughter the weaker Jedi. Isolate and eliminate is a valid strategy.
      What are you talking about with Sol and Jecki not fighting side by side and do you apply that same criticism to other battles??
      There wasn’t much chance for Sol to read Qimir’s thoughts bc once the helmet came off Sol lost his Padawan and was experiencing intense emotions and wouldn’t have the mental edge. Then Qimir openly explained himself anyways and then Sol almost killed him. When was he supposed to read his thoughts?
      Osha didn’t want Sol to kill Qimir right there bc Sol was her master and she looks up to the Jedi as good. If Sol killed Qimir right there that would be a fall to the dark side moment.
      Sol disarmed him bc he channeled his rage into a brutal flurry. If he cut off Qimir’s head right there he would fall. I think Sol let him stand back up so he could kill him “in a duel” and thus preserve his good Jedi image in Osha’s eyes. He didn’t know Osha would use the bugs and Qimir would be taken away.
      We don’t know what Mae’s plan is and maybe she is upset bc Osha rejected her again. Wait and see.
      Sol probably knows that’s Mae and even if he doesn’t that’s explainable by him being shook. Like his whole squad just died and he was confronted with his past sins so….either way just wait and see.
      Why would Sol bring the Wookie’s lightsaber? It was already destroyed and wasn’t right there so he would have to go look for it.
      So he should carry Jekki’s body on that long ass walk and risk getting attacked again as he is slowed down?
      This is far from “nothing makes sense” and more looks like you’re nitpicking tbh

    • @linkvagar2336
      @linkvagar2336 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So you just entirely ignore the wookie lightsaber getting cut in half and destroyed to cry wbout something for no reason?
      Why would he go back and collect a destroyed lightsaber?
      Sol knows it's Mae, not Osha in the same way Qimir knows it's Osha not Mae.
