Do what I did in the A . BUY the worse properties n the best neighborhoods. Have an achitect create your blue prints and use that as your model. That's my formula. My first flip I learned the in and out of realestate. It cost me 80 percent less than paying for tuition for four years. My return is greater than most college graduates. I turned off the tv, stop watching the news and starting to just look at properties and walk neighborhoods. I went to the city and looked up the urban development plan for the next 20 years and saw the future .
To all the women who have a problem with how this man is dressed...A man wears whatever he wants to wear. If you think you cam shame a man because you do not like how he is dressed then go right ahead, but remember...the very essence of being a man is something that you will never understand, Stop trying to control men and just be women. We love you but you always want to fight and tell us how and what it takes to be a man...Now what kind of man would he be if he changed his style up, all because of some idiots on the internet, who said he should dress differently?
signontheline1 Unfortunately in this world people go by looks hun. I dress modest and guys say I dress old. But I look good lol Its about the person heart not looks.
I moved to ATL in the 90s and now live in Johns Creek. ATL has everything a brotha could want. The thing is it’s not for everyone. If you are here to play games, do the strip club circuit, and run thru as many women as possible, then you are ok to visit but shouldn’t move here. ATL was changed by 4 major events. The Olympics in 96, the emergence of ATL Rap music, Katrina, and GW Bush. When I moved here as a 20 year old Clinton was president, Campbell was mayor of Atlanta, and JD was the biggest rap name. Freaknik was winding down. Buckhead clubs had no cover charge and closed when the sun came up. Strippers were DIMES. They danced for full songs and even kicked it. They were still straight, not these butchies dancing today. There were more jobs than ppl. It was the “Black Mecca.” The biggest mistake ppl make when they move here is thinking that because ppl sound southern that that equates to them being “country.” Lol. You will get got! And you’re gonna be bitter about it for a long time. There’s 6 mil ppl spread out across 10 counties, contrary to popular belief, this is not a "small town." I would advise ppl to stay away, because out-of-towners have ruined all of the fun. Buckhead closes at 2 now (thx Puffy and Ray Lewis). Selling your mixtape outside of Kroger is a job now. Teenage girls are idolizing these floozies on TV, because they aren’t capable of handling anything that’s mentally challenging. Let them continue to off each other in the hoods and now places like Stn Mtn (which used to be a middle class area for us), so that we can buy it up for the low and rent it to Mexicans. At least you know they’ll pay their rent on time. And don’t do business with any Asians-includes Indians. They don’t respect the way American business is conducted. I agree with some of your points, especially about the news, but keep this in mind if you’re thinking of living here-have a realistic plan and be about your business.
I'm born and raised from the Atl. I took a pay cut to get the hell out it's too many transplants who don't have a clue and leave within two years bad mouthing the A when they moved here on a whim with no goals or plans which is why I live in the suburbs. Honestly, every urban city has a ghetto so I don't understand his point. Plus it's too many ppl trying to live that social media life if that's what you want then you are planning on being broke anyways.
Gee Thang I moved to the A in 98 after military service. It was crazy off the hook back then. It had everything a brother could want. Chicks were fine as hell. I moved there with a chick I met over a holiday weekend. It was just that easy. The job market was greatly well.
Black Rich yes I'm hiding wile I'm on TH-cam sitting outside in broad daylight lol.because only people who are hiding have on hid dies hats and glass wile talking about their personal experiences lol
I lived in Atlanta for almost 11 years, I had the best time of my life...of course I experienced something which I never had before, coming from Brazil being a Latino I kind expected to be treated bad....but that didn't happen I have no complaints at all not a single case of being misstreated...I'm not black nor Caucasian and Atlanta made me respect not only the beautiful state of Georgia but the entire nation and it's citizens.
JUST know when you come to Atlanta, be prepared to hustle, and make sure your credit is good, make sure you have backup money in the bank and please do not keep talking to Atlanta natives about Atlanta we know how Atlanta is we live here. Its your responsibility to make life better no matter what location your in. Dont get me wrong many people here are hood and wouldn't change for nothing. Atlanta is becoming more over populated and with that being said if you look and notice new homes have been built, and more warehouse jobs to make room for the high number of population. And remember that pay looks greener on the other side of the grass but it always meet up to the standard of living, so if you say to yourself its cheap in ATLANTA and don't have a great traveling Job, or web based job, or don't have a great paying job ready before your arrival that's making over 60,000.00 a year and making sure you manage your money well without any dept with great credit, then your good in Atlanta and you will not get stuck in ATLANTA if your money and mind is right.
Moved to ATL in the mid 90s, attended college graduated, job hunt and at the time i would say job hopping because I could have quit a job and found another within a day or two as employers were begging for skilled workers. I finally secured a job with a large corporation and live great for some years. Also, at this time manufacturing was up and America as a whole smelled like money and prosperity. Fast forward to 2005, and NAFTA hit the USA jobs was leaving by the millions and the ATL took a hit as well, Bush held office and somehow made matters worst, Katrina occurred and here comes my layoff from the corporate giant. I immediately realized that the days of job hopping was done as the staffing agencies now had lines of people stretching out the door whom was looking for work as well. I gave up looking and ran out of monies and head to the food stamp line. You might be asking what does Katrina have to do with Atlanta back then? Seemed like the cities that was affected by the hurricane moved to Atlanta for refuge and seeking work. Atlanta was not what it use to be ever since. However I must say, I loved Atlanta during that time period when it was the place to be for employment. The culture, things to do, the communities, cheap homes in nice areas. i since moved and only visit periodically.
Why might I ask? How has it changed for the worse other than higher population? I was surprised to even hear that people are still moving there like that. I know that was the thing for many on the 90s..
I am 56 yrs old.and I have lived in Atlanta all my life the event you are referring to the person that was killed was from New Orleans . Crime shot up because the transient population. Gang's transient population, Alot of the cities problems are from the transient population. Low skilled labor, undereducated. Seeking a Promised Land. Atlanta is a city of strivers, When you come unprepared, without a support system you will struggle.
1. The rent is not that high here. Especially compared to places like California, New York, and Baltimore (where I lived for 3 years before coming back home to Atlanta). 2. You mentioned that a lot of people here aren't from here (which is true) and then you say we're not friendly (which is not true). 9 times out of 10 the unfriendly people are the ones that aren't from here. 3. Zone 6 IS NOWHERE NEAR as ghetto as some of the areas like Bankhead, The Bluff, etc. 4. You had no car which meant you probably did your traveling on Marta so you were automatically introduced to one of the bad aspects of the city. 5. There's violence everywhere. And if you think the news was depressing down here, try living in Baltimore. I was born and raised here and I love my city with every bit of my heart. But the 'migrants' have given this city a bad reputation and it wasn't always that way. The mistake most people make is coming down here on a dream. Do research. Have a plan. Start sending out resumes and putting in applications BEFORE you move so that your plan is already put in motion. Temptation is strong down here. You gotta be strong enough to fight that temptation and focus on what you need to be focused on. While there are many people who talk a lot of shit about my city, there are just as many who speak highly of the ATL because they came down here with a plan and followed through on that plan.
Im from Atlanta and this dude just seems like a complete clown. You didnt date anyone? No vehicle? Most of the women most likley were not interested lol. People like him make my city look bad. Im glad he moved
I was there about 8 or more years ago but I keep hearing people saying the same thing the bad people are not from there but I know some people from there and they are not nice. I think every place has good and bad.
If you're looking for normalcy in ATL you have to go to Stockbridge, Marietta, Jonesboro, McDonough, and other cities surrounding Atlanta. Know that everyday that you're going to see phenomenal women. The key is not to try to screw everything you see. Then limit your circle....don't think just because someone may speak to you that they're your friend. Cherish your true friends in that circle. Also know that the gay thing is real. And if that's not you then you don't have to be rude, just treat people like you want to be treated and keep it pushing. Like someone told you....get you a fine woman inside and out and find a decent job and don't let your issues become hers and vise versa. You'll be fine.
I moved here when Grady babies were all over ( the rest of my comments below) . . . . When I moved here Atlanta was alive you did not have to go home. This is back when Techwood projects was still there. When you can go kick it at the bounce. When you can parking lot pimp in Buckhead. Go visit your homeboy on Bankhead. The real Atlanta shit. If you don't want to go home and go to sleep you go to Crystal Palace. I can't be a hypocrite because I'm an implant I was born and raised in Chicago, but I've had the most fun of my life in Atlanta Georgia. So all you people thinking about moving to Atlanta please don't, we don't need more traffic. But I'm here for life I love Atlanta. And I did move here before Atlanta live what's still open. I feel sorry for the people that didn't get a chance to experience Atlanta......... . When Atlanta was really the A
Of course that's your view if you don't prosper. I moved to Atlanta almost 20 years ago. Atlanta is for hustlers. If your hustle is slow, it will be hard to make it.
I came for a differnt reason and yes my hustle was slow back then I guess. I worked to jobs so im not sure if thats slow. once I lost my jobs I left. Im good now.
Tone202 Do understand, no shade, it's just another view for balance. I moved there at 23 with a short and had to learn quick. I had to be both ghetto at times, business, player and make payment arrangements. It made me better.
I'm from ATL westside. The original ATLiens are friendly and show great hospitality. These unfriendly folks are from other cities and countries. Find an original Georgian. Peace😎
They are not Atlanta is not the south it's Atlanta as people from Alabama Florida south Carolina Tennessee they say they don't want nothing from ga night life that's all and that's become standing on the wall and you NIGGAS here in Atlanta are low down and Dirty South
I move to Atlanta in 93 after I went to freaknique everything was great people were actually friendly.it was a total culture shock for me as you can imagine I was raised in Seattle.. I remember being so excited seeing so many black people successful living theybest life I loved it I packed up my stuff and moved to Hoover Alabama where my best friend was from I couldn't it was too country love the people love the food just couldn't adapt to that lifestyle I needed some City Life. Now don't get it twisted just because I said people-friendly it ain't called the Dirty South for nothing! Alabama not just Atlanta got some hardcore killers...One thing I have to say it was very extremely easy for me to land two jobs like it was nothing. Most likely based on my "accent". I had this lady ask me was I British. Lol. towards the end of my time in Atlanta is when I started to see a lot of things I did not like, now mind you I was pregnant with twins. I met my kids father from Cali and I guess I was craving West Coast that's why we vibe so well. I recall us going out shopping at this big International grocery store. The store had a flag of every country up I used to love that place we spent hours there but every time we would go places on always catch other man staring at him even in church Lord and I heard now they got these gay churches....think one other person said Sodom and Gomorrah, that's the way I think of it now.. some men will f*** anything that got tits and ass and look like a woman so they don't have to say they gay. Look at all these dudes Young Buck that singer got caught in the motel they frontin like they didn't know them dudes was men they knew it's a tranny .going around in the hip hop industry believe it or not they so tired of getting coochie thrown at them they want something different I know what the f*** they doing! Some of them get with other culture women because they think they can get away with it easier they know we can sniff that s*** out. Black women better be on the lookout it's a lot of them out there now especially if your man been to prison. We 'all seen that damn video with that inmate bragging about him and some other guy turned this guy out.
Atlanta has the good, the bad and the ugly just like anywhere else. So please don't act like alot of the drama you experienced while you were here doesn't exist in other cities. My question to you is, what did you bring to Atlanta, what were you expecting Atlanta to do, save you??? Alot of people bring their problems and issues to Atlanta thinking that Atlanta is supposed to solve their issues just because they move here. People come here trying to hide who they really are. They come here attempting to run and hide from their past in order to be someone new, in order to feel better about themselves through starting over or to be someone they are not because no one may really know about their past here and tend to act differently here than where they are from. Many use Atlanta as a place to escape the hell they came from. Atlanta hasn't always been known for having alot of gays like it is known now and not everyone who lives here is gay. Many people have however openly brought alot of their in the closet bullcrap and hidden secrets to Atlanta, especially people who came here from New York. Not saying everyone who came here from other places have or had bad intentions when they came here but alot of people ran from their insecurities and issues where they were from and brought that crap here all in order to live a better life and most have been provided that here. Atlanta is a great city and Georgia is a great state, your experience can either be a good or a bad one but nine times out of ten it depends on you and the energy and attitude you bring here.
I RESPECT what you said....Have you any knowledge on PEACHTREE, GEORGIA...I'M A WRITER/ARTIST...I WOULD LIKE TO MOVE TO GEORGIA TO START MY GREETING CARDS BUSINESS...ANY POSITIVE ADVISE WILL BE HELPFUL FROM ALL THANKS...PEACEFUL JOURNEY
Exactly I am in Mississippi there is crime high aids and hiv scammers etc...and people on here talking about LA as though it’s so much better need to stop..
@@mrtruth4154 Mr. Truth??? Haha boy you're just talking out your ass💩 cause its free! 😆😁Cause you know nothing about me!! EVEREST SCHOOL?? I had 2 go look it up. Didnt even know what it was you ignoramus~ NOW go look that up!
Facts....I watched a video on TH-cam and they said that there's 1 in every 51 people that has HIV.....when you think about that percentage wise....that's a lot of people walking around with HIV/AIDS...smh
I lived in Atlanta in the early 80's. It was the bomb back then, the biggest star I knew was Peobo Bryson, the rent was cheap for a nice place, Greenbriar was nice, jobs were plentiful
been in atlanta for a while but luckily work from home so don’t have to deal with the job market here. But yes very extremely competitive regardless of your industry. But it’s what you make of it.
You’re telling the absolutely truth. High rent low wages. Most people I knew were working two jobs or shacking up... I did six years that was enough. I’m back outside Chicago on my way out west
I lived in Atlanta for a short time. I lived in Marietta and had an apt in Wind Cliff and worked at the Crab house, and the dollar tree. But ended up moving to Pittsburgh. Take care man. God bless.
I’m from Los Angeles and moved to GA in December of 06. I moved to a city just outside of ATL named Jonesboro. Me and my family managed to be there for only 6 months before moving back to California but I had relatives who had also moved to GA 6 months prior to when I did & they returned to CA 6 years later. When they came back they were no longer just my lil’ Cousins who I used to play games with. They came back with ATL street mindset & country ghetto. The streets of ATL completely turned them out & they came back with nothing but stories about how bad the ATL is & the shit they got involved in down there. I didn’t stay in GA long enough to get a fair impression of it but based on your stories, my cousins stories and Darien Long GRSE! TH-cam channel ATL appears to be a ghetto, uncivilized, crime ridden Heaven of sorts.
I'm curious how his perspective was impacted by the fact that he moved there with a lack of job prospects and being ill equipped with a lack of employable skills.
James Davis so I had no job skills? How do you come up with I had no job skills? This means I could do nothing at all' apparently your wrong because I had two jobs. I'm also an army vet and I worried for the Ohio House of Representatives as a legislative aide to four different house reps sooooo I have plenty of skills.
Tone202 These trolls on here can't connect dots, dawg. The responses they write have nothing to do with the title of the video. Plenty of people in Atlanta have "job skills" regardless if they're native or not. But, still wind up making minimum wage due to the economic saturation. It's not a good area to be in from what I observed while living there.
Tone202 thank you for your service but everybody knows quit a lot of people leave the Army with low job opportunities. They train you to be soldiers and most companies aren’t hiring for that. What Degree did you earn from college? There are a lot of people moving to Atlanta with no trade experience or certifications and a generic degree. Much like you, they become disgruntled when they can’t find a job lol.
@@vainglorious101 Sounds like you're prejudging based on superficial things and your own perception. Do you know this man. I guarantee you that some of the ones you assume aren't gay based on their demeanor and outer appearance actually are.
ItsComic -Fun u watch too much tv. and and 9 times out of 10 they moved here from your city. I’ve been here for 33yrs so I have watched atl transform some for the better and some for the worst.
@Red Sunshine That's the big difference. Would you rather have them out in the open or down low? I moved from Atlanta to the Philly area, in the A you can tell who is who. In Philly, I've seen tim wearing, full beard thug "looking" dudes who when they spoke, where gay as hell. They are everywhere.
STFU lying ass nigga. You probably a Clayton County, Gwinnett County, anything but Fulton County type of nigga.. BE QUIET! I BET YOU DON'T LIVE IN ATLANTA NOW?
Ive lived near Atlanta since late 92, from Dallas, Tx. Things have changed quite a bit since then. Traffic is 10x worse. Police everywhere now just itching to get you into the system and pay the big bux. Cost of living anywhere within 30 mile radius of the city skyrocketed. Used to be able to rent a decent 1br apt for 500/mth just 10 yrs ago, now the very same apt is 1150. I'm sure rent and cost of living is going up everywhere, but over 2x in less than just 1 decade is too much. I love Atlanta area, it's the city in the forest and a pretty place. Climate is just right, not too muggy and hot in the summer and not too cold in the winter, not as muggy and buggy as spots like FL and gulf coast.. North GA is just a pretty place in general. Really the only thing keeping me here is my elderly parents tho, once they are gone I will probably leave. It's not that I don't like it here, it is just getting too expensive and I have to hustle 2 jobs just to barely get by now, where as before I could easily make it with just 1 - 40hr/wk.
To me Birmingham, Charlotte, Nashville and Jacksonville are better Southern cities for a Working Man who want build something for themselves. Plus you can raise kids better in these places
Tone202, I appreciate your candor. I have nieces and nephews ATL, and I've been there a few times because of business, but both times I have had brief experiences (at night both times) that made me hold onto my pistol. I'm easy-going for the most part, but I don't play! Bro, it's not just about ATL, but for decades, the social-engineering of blacks by the democrat party that had caused this environment. It's so sad for our people, And those who are supposedly for us, (leftist, liberal socialists) are "helping" us by creating more dependency and illiteracy which kills our potential by advocating crap like ebonics. As though we blacks are incapable of speaking and writing American English properly. WAKE UP BLACK PEOPLE - YOU ARE BEING USED!
People need to stop blaming the area because the area you move in is what it is. Its up to you to do your study. Stop leaning all the way on the tv or what people say about Atlanta. I'm from Atlanta and I learned that out of town people think that because Atlanta is southern on the country side of life we are idiot's. When you come here dont nobody from Atlanta want to hear you complain about the house you moved in. You made that choice.
I'm from Chicago and moved to Atlanta 3 months ago. I absolutely love it. Rent is way cheaper, blacks seem more friendly and united to me. More blacks are doing thier thing in business, gas cheaper, it's just lovely. I dont know what this dude talking about. Dont get me wrong, you have fucked up hoods and people in certain areas, but what fucking city dont
Matt Allan I too am from Chicago and I’ve also considered moving to Atlanta ever since I’ve visited a few times there, I loved it! However Chicago is still the best city in the world.
I stayed 2025 Peachtree Rd in Buckhead in 2015 At the Darlington Apt. Very cool spot heard they remodel them. Im from Mississippi so being in the A was a dream. Having hustle is just a key component to life no matter where u live.
I moved there in 73 and left in 74! Those where the last of the good days. Mayor Jackson was in power. Now the ATL is the NFL (not for long). The brother is telling you the truth! Listen now instead of later.
Lived in the surrounding areas of ATL. Enjoyed living there but the job market was slow and some jobs paid low wages. The best part was seeing so many African Americans living well. I was proud to be there. You must bring your "A" game to "The A" because the hustle factor is key to getting ahead. I met a lot of people who worked for themselves full time and others who had side hustles.
I lived in Atlanta in 2005. It was fascinating to me. So much to do. Public transportation really got me around everywhere. Plus, I saw some of the most attractive people that I have ever seen. I have said that, even though you don't have to live there, every black should try to see it in their lifetime. The Black Mecca of the South. I loved it! It was cool and I'll never forget it!
I left Atl because it was too many gay people trying to date me but I only wanted to date a man that only dates women. If I offended anyone my apologies to each its own but I only want to be in a heterosexual relationship. I had a good job and a nice place. That city is not for me.
I heard that most men would be with another man so I guess I'm trying to say it wouldn't be out side of the norm for a woman's man to be with another man right after he was with her.
WHERE in zone 6 are you referring to? Candler Park? Inman Park? Edgewood? East Atlanta Village? I'm not sure where you are from or what you are used to but in the neighborhoods I listed the average cost of a home that has not even been renovated is $300k. How is that the hood?
Tan Bratton I’m very aware of the sex traffic here. I’m putting my oldest daughter in self defense class this year. I’m also taking her to the Gun Range as well.
I've lived in Atlanta my whole life this shit this confused man has shit twisted. I'm one who has traveled to other different places. Brazil, Moscow, Italy, Dominican republic and more. When u weak and don't know how to handle yourself u come up with excuses to why A SITUATION WENT BAD type thing.
3:58 explains the problem with ALL "problem type" African Americans today. Gee Thang's post below expounds on specifically why ATL isn't the Mecca Ebony Magazine proclaimed it to be in the late 1980s. Black ppl today are not serious. Black people in the 20s-90s were SERIOUS PEOPLE, making moves that mattered. Young Black people often have pipe dreams, won't work together for what they want or need, and are resentful, bitter, & foolish. If our people would do the things that made us successful in the past (get educated, work hard, have real Faith real beliefs and prayer, MARRY & not spread children everywhere) we could excel...whether in Atlanta or anywhere else.
I lived in Atlanta 2001 it was better back in the day I think after 2005 when big meech went to prison it went downhill. Waaaaay back it was hardly any killings it was fun! The 1st freak niks. Then a new era came 😒
Ooooh....Soon as I heard you were from Pittsburgh, I had to comment. I'm a born and bread NY'er that lived in Pittsburgh for a year. I moved there because my fiance, who was born and raised in Pittsburgh, But he lived in NY on and off, wanted me to come down and start our lives together. My mom is from Macon, I thought they were friendlier down there. The way you described the ATL is the way I feel about Pittsburgh. And it wasn't really diverse. There were a lot of Black people who would just stare at me. My NY/Jamaican accent didn't help much. After my fiance was murdered in our house in Brookline.....I went back NY. And I'm a square. I was hated on because I had a administration job at UPMC. Most of the black people I met outside my job had fast food jobs worked at a bar, or cleaned hotel rooms. I didn't see how they were making it. And they thought I was all types of bougie.....
Tone202 .....Nah. not really. The vibe was just different down there. It's racist as f compared to NY. But, Most of the Black people were not too friendly,Either, I did make some friends for life down there, both black and white. But, the rest of my experience was so/so. There were a lot of people that wanted to be hood down in Pittsburgh as well. Some of them were my age and older ( I'll be 39 this year) I was like Da f is wrong with you????....It was crazy.....I was also down there when the Wilkinburgh massacre happened, that Wendy Bell was fired. The disrespect for Black people down there is real.
My experience when I went to Atlanta. I pulled up at a gas station soon as I got out my car a tall basketball looking chick came up to me trying to come on to me..Not for me
I left Atlanta years ago. It was not because I did not have family and business contacts there....it was because I found Atlanta not to be the city that everyone thinks it is. Yes! You can have a great time partying there...however, to live there and to visit there are two separate situations. I have relatives there that were born and raised there and are well connected, are self-employed, and doing very well. But they are even getting a little "disenchanted" with the so-called "Black Mecca"! Trust me....Atlanta is not all it is made up to be. Now, I have never been too fond of Atlanta from the very beginning when I first stepped off the plane when I moved there. The "new Atlanta" is nothing like the "old Atlanta", which was full of promising jobs and careers....but the new Atlanta is over-populated/saturated, overrated and it is difficult for well-educated people regardless of race to find good paying jobs now. I am highly educated and I have a lot of professional experience and I have made a lot of money in my lifetime, and I am considered handsome....but I do not judge people by how much money they have or how much education they have....it takes all kinds of people to make this world go around! In all actuality, most people that I know....including my relatives, are moving out of metro Atlanta for other parts of the United States. For instance, Seattle, Fort-Worth, Charlotte, and Columbus, Ohio are BOOMING...and is currently among the fastest growing Cities in the United States. Yes...Dallas, Houston, and other Southern Cities are growing. However, I have found that for African-Americans, the four Cities that I listed above are good choices...regardless of race or ethnicity...Columbus, Charlotte, Fort-Worth, and Seattle are the places to be right now. I am a grant writer and I study populations shifts for statistical information to include in my grant proposals....and I find the number of people moving to Atlanta do not stay there very long because it is overrated... Yes!Atlanta is growing, but its rate of growth has slowed and Seattle, Charlotte, Fort-Worth, and Columbus are growing extremely RAPIDLY...At a similar pace that Atlanta was growing during the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s. As this brother has said, when people visit Atlanta, they are very impressed and intrigued by the City. However, once they move there they see the City of Atlanta for what it is...OVERRATED!!! There are other Black Meccas that are very prosperous and Atlanta is not the only City in the United States that works for African-Americans and in my opinion, as well as many people that I have conversed with....it is not the "Black Mecca" that everyone wants to give it credit for being. My advice to anyone wanting to relocate there, make sure that you study and do research on Census data that shows you the facts as to which cities in the U.S. are doing well for African-Americans...for anyone regardless of race as far as that goes...because as this brother has shared, you can make it anywhere when you put your mind to it....but Atlanta is more difficult than any other city when it comes to "setting your niche and roots"! The Mid-West is BOOMING AGAIN...especially Columbus, Kansas City, Indianapolis, and Minneapolis! Check out these Cities. Seattle, Denver, Portland, and Pheonix are booming....but the African-American population is not very large...the same with San Francisco and Boston. However, each of these cities is known for having thriving African-American communities....and they are worth investigating as far as relocation! I relocated to Columbus, Ohio, and regardless of what the natives that were born and raised here may say, this city is on the move. Most people that you meat here are from somewhere else, and we love it here! Anyway, I thought Id take the time to share with everyone about my experiences with Atlanta and other cities in the U.S. as far as my perception of "Black Meccas" and prospering cities other than Atlanta!
Thanks for the gems you dropped bro. Now,someone like myself who writes and produced music was considering ATL but just know in my heart,it might not work for me.And as far as Seattle, your right it's not alot of us but it's different.I've been there for 1 1/2 and the herb is the Bomb, but again,it's differntand I myself need to see some sista's(sister's).LOL.And since i'm from New York, the rent wasn't that much different from the apple. But I appreciate your view on keeping an open mind about relocating.Again, for me I think NY is where i need to be as far as music,modeling,t.v.shows etc.And ATL just isn'y my cup of tea for different reasons.Peace
I live in DMV area, Atlanta area is great. I owned a property there for over 12 years and love it. Some of the surrounding area of the cities have it's issues. Life is what you make it period!!!!!
You are so right. When I first got here no one spoke. Now I was taught you speak when you come in a room. You say good morning, good afternoon. No one spoke. The women are letting it all out. I mean tights and no panties and sports bras. Booty shorts and shirt. Now me from Mobile I was like okay my country ankle pants and shirt had people looking at me like what the hell
Law Abiding African American True in some parts it's sad but true, but I believe deep down in our own hearts we have to find our own happiness somewhere,we can't just keep moving around, surely there are other places, but loving who you are and finding out what you like to do is always best, there are a lot of people leaving Atlanta, but people come and go,I believe as a people we shouldn't just throw chance to the wind, the only place abroad that I've lived in was Canada, everywhere else has been Vegas,Ohio, Virginia,Mount Vernon,Portland,New York,North Carolina,Tenn, Orlando Florida,Dallas Texas, and I just get on a bus and leave,I like ATL, because I don't have to be involved with people that don't know me,and it's easier to stay to myself and do my own thing, I'll be 53 in April,so I'm in a good place in my life, ATL, don't fit me,but it's more laid back than other places I've been to,these people that are born here,Mann.. they'll never leave because the majority of them don't take advantage of the education, plus you got a lot of old MF,that ain't never left the state they just stay in the neighborhood trying to run it down with their BS,Broke Poor as dirt, stupid Felonies,Drugs,Lies, deception, and false game that's out of style,so yeah ATL is crappy when it comes to people, but the city and landscape doesn't change,it's the people that need to change,or get the hell out..!!!..I can definitely relate to what your saying, I'm in total agreement...
I’ve been living here since 2000. This is a guy who couldn’t get work, who couldn’t get women and who wasn’t able to enjoy the city so he bashes the whole place. No whip and he’s bitching. Sounds like a bum to me.
Cobb Gwinnett DeKalb Fulton Counties collaborate with each other every day That's a BIG part of the WHOLE ATLANTA experience. I don't care what you think it's the truth.
I'm from Pittsburgh too. Lived in atl for almost 8yrs. Atlanta has $8-$10 an hr temp jobs that ARE NOT 40hrs a week. Traffic is insane. You'll pay $900 a month for a roach infested poorly maintained apartment. Alot of ppl move to atlanta and will work a taco bell & mcdonalds just to say they live in Atlanta. And there'll be 5 ppl staying in a two bedroom apt while they work 20hrs a week for $8 and hour. I got out of there and came to jax fl and haven't regret it.
Good story thanks for sharing. I did not get paid a lot either and it was not worth staying. the job market is tough and you better have an education or a good trade to make it. What part of Pittsburgh are you from.
I see the problem from reading these comments. People come here ill prepared and with unrealistic expectations. Can someone please share where in the USA can someone thrive without a decent education and no marketable skills? Notice I used the word thrive...not survive.
At the end of the day, Atlanta left you! Atlanta is not built for the weak. You have to come there with your A game. You didn't. You jumped in head first and drowned......
Yes you can acquire buildings without money or anything else you desire. Step 1. Create in your imagination how the acquisition of the properties will better your life and your community. Once clear, write it down 3 times with cursive handwriting with your dominant hand first. Then your not dominant hand. BE SURE to state your desires in confident statements as if you already have the properties because in your Spiritual Imagination they already exist. Step 2. Create a simple poem that rhymes that states your desires and record it to music and listen and dance and laugh to it at least once a day. Also right before you go to sleep. Step 3. Obtain a real estate dictionary and sleep with it. Carry it with you everywhere you go. Stare at each page about one second a page each day for 30 days. Step 4. Look at some videos on TH-cam on Feng Shui for how to bring positive energy into your home and office. Make sure your home is clutter free. Keep ONLY positive music going in your home at all times. Pay close attention to your frequency. Very important to spend time volunteering with children and the elderly at least once a week. Step 5. Since you truly treasure your freedom and have a good eye for detail real estate will be excellent for you to acquire. Work on elevating your leadership skills so that you can interface with people easily and effortlessly. NEVER focus on just the money, learn to read the inner energy of every situation you are involved in, and the lesson that is presenting itself. Step 6. Find at least 3 vacant properties that attract you. Go to each house at least once a week and walk around the house as if it is yours. Pick up garbage or even plant some seeds. Talk to neighbors about the property. Utilize your imagination to feel the energy of the home. Ask the house for permission to live in it or rent it. Step 7. Go to the county recorder either in person or online if you can. Find out who owns it and if there is a mortgage on it. Become VERY proficient at doing it. Step 8. Send a letter to the owner requesting permission to partner with them on the property. Step 9. The documents you will need to know how to use are the following, Mechanic Lien Warranty Deed Quit claim deed Release deed Power of attorney Partnership agreement Incorporation forms Land trust forms Modification agreement Various affidavits Loan authorization form Mortgage release request form Qualified Written Request Step 10. Investigate if the property taxes are in arrears and by how much. Yes anyone can do this if they are willing step out of the matrix of feeling that they need money to acquire things. Nothing wrong with using money, its the obsession for it that can blind us to our other powers for getting things done. For more info: larrycherry22@gmail.com
To be honest you gonna deal with our own people like that everywhere we go. It's the generational curses bro. The hate, the inferior complex, and the crab in the bucket mentality. The other thing is that it's sad that we are considered being a square for living a straight edge sober lifestyle. That's how much we are far beyond needing repair.
You are right if you watch the news it scare the hell out of you. I lived in buckhead for about 9 mos before I got the big picture. Don't live in the city I moved to gwinnett county and the gwinnett close to DeKalb county. I'm so far north that I'm almost in barrow county and I love it. Leave the city metro Atlanta is beautiful..
I lived in Dunwoody, GA from 97-02 This was right off of GA 400. The rent was ridiculous. With two kids and paid so much an hour, it was hard af. When I first rode Marta, there was a guy that I thought was a girl. My friend had to put me up on game. The men are all players, gay, or married
A big brother you got it all wrong Atlanta is a beautiful city Washington DC is a beautiful city Chicago is a beautiful city I mention all the cities where a lot of blacks and habit Baltimore is a beautiful city I may not mention all the cities but the ones that i live in our beautiful I love those cities where a lot of black people reside you have to know what you looking for you have to have a career all cities have negativity Atlanta is beautiful Washington DC is beautiful Baltimore is beautiful if you go to the hood you going to have a problem no matter what city you reside in don't get it twisted Atlanta's gorgeous
This video has the BEST comments thus far, I go back and forth about moving down there for good (I know y'all full and all but make some room for me 😂) I knew from my first visit (somebody broke in my car my first night there) you have to be resourceful, be ready for a competitive job market and have a decent hustle hand. It's hella money to be made (and spent) down there-I don't know what this fella had going on, shoulda kept his eyes on the prize I guess.
Atlanta is a thriving city. I moved here 6 months ago. I was broke and depressed after some setbacks. Now I got a nice place to stay and a nice Lexus I bought from some rich white folks. I'm making $23 bucks an hour installing Aluminum composite panels in the new buildings in down town. Life is good. I guess is a matter of perspective. I chose to see the good and opportunity pops off everywhere.
@@Cjtorres23 not at all. I have relatives here who are construction contractors. But even if I didn't had anybody I could find a decent job in a day here. It depends on your experience. I've been doing construction for 21 years now. I'm a certified welder, erector and have a few other skills. I can walk into a jobsite and find 2 or 3 job offers to choose from in the $20 to $30 per hour. But you have to show some work and discipline. That's the key to the kingdom of heaven. Atlanta is the place to be if you want to make that money.
you got to go anywhere with money as a back up plan unless u drop in that place and stayed with a friend found a job and thrived but research all places
I lived with my sister but she tripped on me then I moved and was holding my own until I lost my jobs and saw that I was not going to spend time with my little girl. I moved after that and never came back.
I moved to Baltimore from New York ..fine to me because I have the mindset of chasing dough...Baltimore to DC (& the counties in between ) are a gold mine as far as money to be made as well as cost of living in Baltimore is better than cost of living in the Bronx(where I'm from) & Queens (where I lived before coming here) .. some people is ignorant but overall I stay in my own lane from the nonsense..I live more comfy in the the county then what I would be paying living in the hood in NY
Its bad in Baltimore. No jobs.the crime is definitely out of control!! Drugs, drugs, drugs.corrupt cops .the mayors are awful.poor schools etc; to name few.dont move here.afraid to go out at night.freddie gray incident.it has a lot of problems. Cant keep a police chief!!
I'm str8 from Zone6, we all hood shawdy! Bouldercrest Rd, Flat Shoals and Glenwood, Moreland Ave 2nd Avenue, Kirkwood, Edgewood. All dat Zone6 shit is DANGEROUS folks...
Dang I thought southern ppl were friendly...but you right south hood is on a different level lol I learned that when I was in Charlotte lil kids were smoking Newports..a damn shame
Hello! I’m from Pittsburgh and I’ve been living in Atlanta.I had to pause and comment after the first five minutes because you hit it dead on the head already.People think because Atlanta is in the South it has that southern hospitality thing and it doesn’t! You are absolutely right,Hell I think Pittsburgh is friendlier.I agree also about that Tyler Perry thing and people coming down here to get into movies.Wrong! For me and people I know that have moved down here it wasn’t even about that when we moved down.
Tone202 Im moving back in May.I got an apt that I can afford. My house is too much work and honestly I’m tired of the South.I just came to the conclusion that I’m a Western Pa.girl and I have had enough of the South. For real I wish I could go to London to live but that’s even more expensive. You know when we moved down here they were doing home invasions just kicking anybody doors open.At home when that happened it was usually drug related. The crime down here is crazy.
I understand his perspective being with him being from Ohio and Pittsburgh. I live in A suburb of Atlanta but am from Pittsburgh. About half of the people I know who move here, move back. Pittsburgh depends heavily on public transportation. So people think oh Atlanta a “big” city must have good public transportation. But it’s a little bit different. It’s also spread out and a lot of people don’t like it. My mother moved here for a year and complained about that. If you live in the burgh everyone you know is in the city and in one county for the most part. The Atlanta area is spread over like 28 “counties” but they are little counties who individually don’t have the resources as one major county up north. That’s why when we had that snow storm it was hell because it was the city of Atlanta vs all the other counties. The mayor caught a lot of slack for that but people didn’t realize he was only responsible for his city. Most of the people live outside of the city and were stranded. All my family called and asked what was going on. This would never happen in a large northern city. Also the news is very negative down here. Somebody is shot stabbed killed swindled every day. I quit watching the local news. He doesn’t understand stand proportion. It’s a bigger area and population and therefore cover more news stories. You may have some news in Pittsburgh from another county but it would have to be really big story. He is used to bars and not clubs in Pittsburgh. It’s a different type of partying. The main difference is the number of blacks here vs Pittsburgh. There are a lot of blacks in the burgh but way more here in ATL. Doing big things. That was probably a shocker to him as well. You don’t have that in Pittsburgh. I mean I go back home and it seems like people are stuck. Pittsburgh is a very liberal but conservative city at the same time. It’s weird but it’s my hometown. I couldn’t do it so I knew when I left for college I would not be back. But there is crime and bad news everywhere. People get killed in the burgh too. It’s just not as random as ATL. It’s more intentional. I do know as a little kid I came to visit ATL and it seemed very slow and country. A lot has changed with Yankees moving in. I still think ATL has its charming parts but I worry about losing the identity of this historical city. Especially with gentrification and what not. Any way the ATLiens have a lot to still be proud about and remember if it was that bad more people would be moving out than moving in.
My experience in atl is diff, I know those thugs you speak off and to avoid them by staying in the outskirts. Been here since 2013 and the only people that gave me trouble was the females. Too many and they come with baggage that come with baggage
I lived in Riverdale GA. Which is 15 miles away. Rent is decent, but finding a job down there is the worst. I recommend anyone who wants to move down there to have a plan before going. Job transfer or job waiting on you.
I live in Baltimore. Md. Now.its awful here seriously!! The crime here is out of control!!! Drugs/ drugs drugs.the police dept. Is corrupt.afraid to go out at night!! Alot of poverty cant keep a police chief.the mayors here are awful.belief me its bad!!! Awful schools!!
Unless you have a business, a job lined up or a plan then Atlanta will be hard to live there. I lived there with a job lined up beforehand and still struggled. I had to move out and build my business in South Carolina for 3 years and setup a second location in Atlanta. Basically you’ve got to have a strategy if you’re going be successful here. I have to bring my team with me because you can’t trust people there.
Jah Domination smart man👍🏾👍🏾
Jewels, salutes.
Jah Domination you're an inspiration!
Excellent....
I'm trying to get into this right now. I never heard of anyone having a blueprint made. What's the blueprint used for?
To all the women who have a problem with how this man is dressed...A man wears whatever he wants to wear. If you think you cam shame a man because you do not like how he is dressed then go right ahead, but remember...the very essence of being a man is something that you will never understand, Stop trying to control men and just be women. We love you but you always want to fight and tell us how and what it takes to be a man...Now what kind of man would he be if he changed his style up, all because of some idiots on the internet, who said he should dress differently?
signontheline1 What he said lol
signontheline1. Tru
signontheline1 Unfortunately in this world people go by looks hun. I dress modest and guys say I dress old. But I look good lol Its about the person heart not looks.
Facts!
@@jelicianorwood24 I like modesty. I think it's embarrassing when a sista dresses half naked.
There’s 6 mil ppl spread out across 10 counties, contrary to popular belief, this is not a "small town."
I would advise ppl to stay away, because out-of-towners have ruined all of the fun.
The ray Lewis thing changed atlanta party life drastically
Gee Thang BOOM!!!!!!!! U SUMMED IT UP PERFECTLY
Gee Thang johns creek is so nice
beanie seagal
Black Rich What about him
look like he hiding from something
Black Rich yes I'm hiding wile I'm on TH-cam sitting outside in broad daylight lol.because only people who are hiding have on hid dies hats and glass wile talking about their personal experiences lol
you look like beanie seagal
Black Rich that's who I thought homie was lol
There's a lot of single Black women with a bunch of kids here in Atlanta, too. And they bossy as hell.
Noble Levine a growing populous.problem is does a single man marry a woman with or without kids
Noble Levine are you single
Tone202 looks like Noble is the master of the "Curve". 😐
U got kids ?
Noble Levine I agree
And remember that pay looks greener on the other side of the grass but it always meet up to the standard of living, so if you say to yourself its cheap in ATLANTA and don't have a great traveling Job, or web based job, or don't have a great paying job ready before your arrival that's making over 60,000.00 a year and making sure you manage your money well without any dept with great credit, then your good in Atlanta
and you will not get stuck in ATLANTA if your money and mind is right.
Moved to Atlanta 2006... I've had a great experience. Never had any issues throughout the time here. It all depends on the areas you choose to go too.
No car. No money. Yeah i can see why Atlanta didn't work out for you. You got no hustle homie.
Good one lol what did he expect!!
😂😂😊
🤣🤷🏼♂️🤣😂
this vid does 15000 views every two days hows that for hustle. lol
😂😂😂😂😂💔💔💔💔💔
I recognize some of that because it happen to me as well.
I'm born and bred in ATL and I wish folks will stop moving here we getting tired of all these out of town folks moving here
Dale Byrd well I don't live there now I moved a long time ago
Go over it. It’s not stopping anytime soon
Get over it😂
Why might I ask? How has it changed for the worse other than higher population? I was surprised to even hear that people are still moving there like that. I know that was the thing for many on the 90s..
Right stay they ass out, Atlanta not the only city in the US 😂💯
I am 56 yrs old.and I have lived in Atlanta all my life the event you are referring to the person that was killed was from New Orleans .
Antwan Dionte' I’m from Baltimore n u rite I don’t watch da news at all fr.dat shit is depressing everyday sum1 killed. House fire 🔥 n kids died.
Feel the same way. Dusty dudes moving here is what destroyed this city. Dude lived here for a year and left 15 yrs ago.
Im from Atlanta and this dude just seems like a complete clown. You didnt date anyone? No vehicle? Most of the women most likley were not interested lol. People like him make my city look bad. Im glad he moved
Great post. You are absolutely right
Antwan Dionte' you just named the most expensive places to live to compare to Atlanta to say it's not cheap.
If you could survive the City of Chicago , trust me you could survive anywhere 💯
no dout
Fernanzo Jamison facts
If u could survive New Orleans u could survive anywhere...it's killers all over..not just certain areas..all over that bitch
No if you can survive Detroit you can survive anywhere on this planet.
Chicago doesn't even have the highest murder rate... Stop it bruh 😂😂😂
The unfriendly people are all the people not originally from ATL.
Angel Smile I can believe that
Tone202 We southerners are naturally down to earth, friendly, and outgoing. Others come to the South and bring their cultural attitudes and behaviors.
I was there about 8 or more years ago but I keep hearing people saying the same thing the bad people are not from there but I know some people from there and they are not nice. I think every place has good and bad.
Tone202 Everyone is not nice, sure. But we're normally not anti-social or naturally unfriendly.
ok but there is a lot going on down there and I dont know who is from there and who isnt but its not getting any better.
I might move to Kennesaw later in life. thanks
I moved here when Grady babies were all over ( the rest of my comments below)

I feel sorry for the people that didn't get a chance to experience Atlanta.........
. When Atlanta was really the A
Nunya biz you named all the spots I clubbed at You are so true that's when the A was at it's best
You forgot about clib 112 Michaels dia.onds
Of course that's your view if you don't prosper. I moved to Atlanta almost 20 years ago. Atlanta is for hustlers. If your hustle is slow, it will be hard to make it.
I came for a differnt reason and yes my hustle was slow back then I guess. I worked to jobs so im not sure if thats slow. once I lost my jobs I left. Im good now.
Tone202 Do understand, no shade, it's just another view for balance. I moved there at 23 with a short and had to learn quick. I had to be both ghetto at times, business, player and make payment arrangements.
It made me better.
but im not a pimp hustler player and I dont want to be so im fine as I am.
Carolyn Ekuka IN EVERY BIG CITY THERE'S GUTTAS AND PARASITES
Only the strong survive... It's mad people from Toledo Ohio out here... 20+ years...
I'm from ATL westside. The original ATLiens are friendly and show great hospitality.
These unfriendly folks are from other cities and countries. Find an original Georgian. Peace😎
Real talk
These weak ass folks get on my nerves . They think its sweet down here
They are not Atlanta is not the south it's Atlanta as people from Alabama Florida south Carolina Tennessee they say they don't want nothing from ga night life that's all and that's become standing on the wall and you NIGGAS here in Atlanta are low down and Dirty South
And I live on ashby MLK now
I move to Atlanta in 93 after I went to freaknique everything was great people were actually friendly.it was a total culture shock for me as you can imagine I was raised in Seattle..
I RESPECT what you said....Have you any knowledge on PEACHTREE, GEORGIA...I'M A WRITER/ARTIST...I WOULD LIKE TO MOVE TO GEORGIA TO START MY GREETING CARDS BUSINESS...ANY POSITIVE ADVISE WILL BE HELPFUL FROM ALL
THANKS...PEACEFUL JOURNEY
Exactly I am in Mississippi there is crime high aids and hiv scammers etc...and people on here talking about LA as though it’s so much better need to stop..
Shutup yall ghey asf in the A lmaoooo
That was the 1st problem! NO CAR!
I didnt need one lol
So everyone should drive? lmao come to reality no one needs a death machine.
right you dont have to have one in every city
Lol
I did not want one so that was not my problem i did fine without it.
ATLANTA has 1 of the highest Aids rate in the country...all i need 2 know.
Fulton county has 70% for black women.
Im not sure we're number one anymore
@@Tone202 STFU! 70% So most people have AIDS in Atlanta? GTFOH!
The major problem is the ATL got influenced by that L.A. culture!
REAL TALK
Can't live or be successful in ATL or even FL without a car. FACTS.
Lie
Uber every where.. You hustle and do what you have to do. Even if that mean 2 jobs. Grind Grind Grind.
Queen Mercy Miami bigger than Atl...its harder without a car in miami. But alot of folks use bus here...you must not be from miami
Oh they don't got metro busses?
You can't live anywhere without a car and be successful. That only works in NYC.
I lived in Atlanta in the early 80's. It was the bomb back then, the biggest star I knew was Peobo Bryson, the rent was cheap for a nice place, Greenbriar was nice, jobs were plentiful
not anymore.
been in atlanta for a while but luckily work from home so don’t have to deal with the job market here. But yes very extremely competitive regardless of your industry. But it’s what you make of it.
marie nicole What do you do
whats your side hustle?
True
marie nicole What kind of work do you do from home?
4 months later & no reply? makes one wonder
God bless.
lm from Pittsburgh. What of Pitts do you live in?
I’m from Los Angeles and moved to GA in December of 06. I moved to a city just outside of ATL named Jonesboro. Me and my family managed to be there for only 6 months before moving back to California but I had relatives who had also moved to GA 6 months prior to when I did & they returned to CA 6 years later. When they came back they were no longer just my lil’
Cousins who I used to play games with.
Plus he’s ugly as hell and has gay tendencies
Keep in mind, "50% of the people in Atlanta MIGRATED HERE!" ... You stated that, and that is a Census Bureau fact.
atlanta too gay...i wouldn't wanna be there either
Unistella Unicorn TRUE.I'm from Memphis, and we don't get down like that.
ItsComic -Fun u watch too much tv. and and 9 times out of 10 they moved here from your city. I’ve been here for 33yrs so I have watched atl transform some for the better and some for the worst.
Red Sunshine and in Memphis it’s more hating ass niggas then playas ijs
Stop watching Atlanta house wives
@Red Sunshine That's the big difference. Would you rather have them out in the open or down low? I moved from Atlanta to the Philly area, in the A you can tell who is who. In Philly, I've seen tim wearing, full beard thug "looking" dudes who when they spoke, where gay as hell. They are everywhere.
Born in Atlanta ... What he is saying. Is true

I'm born raised Atlanta. You are incorrect.
African descendants are you from there, or did you just moved here.
This is one of the best comment I have seen. You broke down the truth about some major cities and the problems with the C.O.L
To me Birmingham, Charlotte, Nashville and Jacksonville are better Southern cities for a Working Man who want build something for themselves. Plus you can raise kids better in these places
my dad lives in tennessy
Nashville is slept on
Tone202, I appreciate your candor.
WAKE UP BLACK PEOPLE - YOU ARE BEING USED!
much love bro stay safe
Inverted Reality TV How you gonna blame it Democrats, when you well know Georgia is a red state. And a lot of the black people are Republicans.
Yes!
#Message!
You just proved ATL black folks are country and ignorant.

Stay in Gwinnett not dekalb 😂
Buckhead too expensive

I moved there in 73 and left in 74! Those where the last of the good days. Mayor Jackson was in power. Now the ATL is the NFL (not for long). The brother is telling you the truth! Listen now instead of later.
GO BACK TO HOLE INTHE WALL WITH THAT BULLSHIT! 73? SEVENTY THREE? ATLANTA wasn't even the same in 1973, DUMBASS NIGGA HERE!
Plot twist Atlanta has the wealthiest black population in the USA
RJ TV I can see that
Lived in the surrounding areas of ATL.
No car, kept to yourself, didn't date .. seems you would not have liked it anywhere you lived..
Did not need a car work a lot and had a few lady friends I was still dating in Ohio but you skip over all that
I lived in Atlanta in 2005. It was fascinating to me. So much to do. Public transportation really got me around everywhere. Plus, I saw some of the most attractive people that I have ever seen. I have said that, even though you don't have to live there, every black should try to see it in their lifetime. The Black Mecca of the South. I loved it! It was cool and I'll never forget it!
very true
All the gays in ATL from out of town
Yeah they come there to be gay because your city welcome it with open arms
I left Atl because it was too many gay people trying to date me but I only wanted to date a man that only dates women. If I offended anyone my apologies to each its own but I only want to be in a heterosexual relationship. I had a good job and a nice place. That city is not for me.
nothing wrong with that love do you.
Tone202 Thanks but you know how the gay community swears that is hate speech.😁😁😁
yup i have been attacked by them all this week lol
I heard that most men would be with another man so I guess I'm trying to say it wouldn't be out side of the norm for a woman's man to be with another man right after he was with her.
Are you Top or Bottom?
Some parts of Atlanta aren't friendly but there are a lot of friendly people in other parts. I have met friendly people in the hoods.
@Carolyn Ekuka 😂True too damn nosy.
WHERE in zone 6 are you referring to? Candler Park? Inman Park? Edgewood? East Atlanta Village? I'm not sure where you are from or what you are used to but in the neighborhoods I listed the average cost of a home that has not even been renovated is $300k. How is that the hood?
I’m glad I’m in Charlotte. It’s better here to raise a family.
I like it there
I'm in Charlotte as well. My only fear is Charlotte turning into a new ATL with all the growth.
Project 704 Media what makes it better?
Yes Charlotte is beautiful but...... The sex trafficking is serious there be careful
Then a new era came 😒
beach life816 it def changed around that time
Exactly on point. Things got hecka worse after 2005 that is for sure
Freaknic was in the 90s CLOWN! There wasn't no Freaknic in the 2000s.
A lot of the thug lifestyles came from the cities that they say are so great!
humans dont live in atlanta...believe me i know
lol well then what are they?
I agree
So you did not like Pittsbugh? I am from there and I don't like it anymore I cant see me living there at all.
I use to live in Wilkinsburgh they dont play
My experience when I went to Atlanta. I pulled up at a gas station soon as I got out my car a tall basketball looking chick came up to me trying to come on to me..Not for me
LOLOLOLOLOLOL DON'T RUN NOW YOU'RE IN ATLANTA LOL
Tone202. I'm from Detroit. So I didn't run.. But I did let her know I wasn't interested in whatever she had.😎 .. And I was just visiting a friend.
LMAO
Sound like bs
No huh lmao What did you do?
And excuse the typo's

KK DeVeauXgue. I'm born and from Atl, unfortunately, have friends that travel and live abroad, the place is crappy, no excuses should be made for it.

Liar
I see the problem from reading these comments. People come here ill prepared and with unrealistic expectations. Can someone please share where in the USA can someone thrive without a decent education and no marketable skills? Notice I used the word thrive...not survive.
You a bum
Step 9. The documents you will need to know how to use are the following,
Mechanic Lien
Warranty Deed
Quit claim deed
Release deed
Power of attorney
Partnership agreement
Incorporation forms
Land trust forms
Modification agreement
Various affidavits
Loan authorization form
Mortgage release request form
Qualified Written Request
Step 10. Investigate if the property taxes are in arrears and by how much.
Yes anyone can do this if they are willing step out of the matrix of feeling that they need money to acquire things. Nothing wrong with using money, its the obsession for it that can blind us to our other powers for getting things done.

Ain't no good places for us in America. We do the best we can and cope. I heard the men hate on women hard in Atlanta.
Are you a woman?
Sol Mer KaBa Akoma damn right ain’t no true good places for us in America. Maybe the country areas or the islands with some 💵
To be honest you gonna deal with our own people like that everywhere we go. It's the generational curses bro. The hate, the inferior complex, and the crab in the bucket mentality. The other thing is that it's sad that we are considered being a square for living a straight edge sober lifestyle. That's how much we are far beyond needing repair.

I never sad it was not a beautiful city I mentioned my experience and actually said I want to live on the outskirts of Atl when I come back.
Yo bro who you hiding from😏 LMAO
it was cold lol
Atlanta is a thriving city.
I moved here 6 months ago. I was broke and depressed after some setbacks. Now I got a nice place to stay and a nice Lexus I bought from some rich white folks. I'm making $23 bucks an hour installing Aluminum composite panels in the new buildings in down town. Life is good.
I guess is a matter of perspective.
I chose to see the good and opportunity pops off everywhere.
Just curious, from your experience was it hard getting a job down there?
I moved after that and never came back.
this is not for you to be scared to do. fight back if somebody is trying to hurt you.
You think Atlanta is bad, try living in Baltimore, MD and then come back on here. You'll go rushing back to the ATL
I use to date a woman fron me she was heartless and she would tell me how bad it was out there ten years ago so no thanks
#factuals
@@pauljones3115 depending on the neighborhood

I've lived all over Atlanta Yeah bruh you need a car. That's like living in NY and not taking the subway.
At that time I didn't need a car everything I needed was on the bus line
Upstate NY you don't need a car
Atlanta has changed folks....its not like the 90's.
I know right. Everyone wanted to be there and have fun.
@@Tone202 We had tons of fun....I left in 2005.
Dang I thought southern ppl were friendly...but you right south hood is on a different level lol I learned that when I was in Charlotte lil kids were smoking Newports..a damn shame
lol you better know it
Right...the News was offfffff the chain...unbelievable!
It was like one continuous bad movie
Hands down the worst place ive ever lived. Atlanta and the whole state is off limits for the boy. Im not southern enough for the bulls@#%
Kim Wright if it wasn't for the police and gangs I would love to go back
Tone202 Im moving back in May.I got an apt that I can afford.
I heard about the home invasions and the cops and gangs are doing it to regular everyday people like us. CRAZY! So what part are you moving to?
IF YOU NOT FROM THE A / STAY AWAY!!!
Word! All females now-a-days come with the extra and they a bit much sometimes.
I lived in Riverdale GA. Which is 15 miles away. Rent is decent, but finding a job down there is the worst. I recommend anyone who wants to move down there to have a plan before going. Job transfer or job waiting on you.
I made some vids talking about that you must have a plan before you go there. thanks.
I totally agree with you; I moved down here nine year ago and it was one of the biggest mistakes I made. I'm leaving next year.
We're are you moving to?
I live in Baltimore. Md. Now.its awful here seriously!! The crime here is out of control!!! Drugs/ drugs drugs.the police dept. Is corrupt.afraid to go out at night!! Alot of poverty cant keep a police chief.the mayors here are awful.belief me its bad!!! Awful schools!!
I know the corruption of the cops is crazy everywhere and we heard about them kill that innocent guy.
This dude is a real one. Very informative video. He should keep up with the acting classes. He's a compelling storyteller.
Karim Bennett lol thanks I wrote a book called THE SORROWED KING its on Amazon and LULU.COM
So true!
Missy Bynum thanks. You must’ve live in Atlanta
Atl never looked back after getting the international airport the intl airport was turned down by Birmingham Alabama
Notice how he refers to police zones instead of neighborhoods. He couldn't even phantom living in Atlanta.
I lived on pons so what are you talking about dude? I stayed in the suburbs big dog move on.
