You should try LTE antenna. Poynting for example has good options with 360 degree coverage for campers. Would eliminate time for hunting good spot for the router
Very good. After 5 years on the road, I decided to get a 2nd phone with different provider. More data than I ever need, but sometimes one works when the other doesn't. But now when a phone hides from me in the van, I can call it out with the other one. So interesting that a slight move can pick up signal! I don't usually try that hard, enjoy the days without the connection. Thanks for sharing.
I can't believe that is Greece. It's so green. But the reason why is obvious. There are no people turning it into a barren desert like all the other places in Greece.
So beautiful right? North Greece is very lush and green and full of trees. 🤩 But there can be -20C degrees weathers during winter. 🥶 South Greece and some islands are more warmer, dry and rocky than continental Greece.
We have been waiting for good price for months. 😇 "normal" price what i have seen been around 250-295 euros when just doing little digging. In Skroutz where we bought it is 295 atm.
@@Vantasticvan I have been living in Cyprus for 20 years and I have started watching your videos recently and I really admire your lifestyle. Keep it up!
Today was +32 and fridge was still cool as always. So around 5c, but its struggling for sure. We have solution for this in upcoming videos how the fridge can work better in hot enviroment.
So Joni, what is the latency, or what ping you get on an average signal when you play some FPS? And finally someone who uses the correct unit when speaking of battery and consumption of devices.
Lyca has aprox 35GB fair usage cap when roaming. From british supplier i have heard that EE has best roaming plans from many users. Only EU roaming without fair usage policies is TIEKOM 55eur/200GB. (And 400GB in Spain)
Not to this model, but ZTE 5002 you can connect 4G antennas. 5G antennas should be always connected straight to the modem, so the whole modem should be on the roof if you want to upgraded 5G antennas. MC7010 is great option for 5G outdoor/roof use.

Such interesting information! Thank you for sharing. I'm off to see what kind of modem/mifi thingies are on offer in New Zealand. 🥰
Thanks for watching. Hopefully you find a good mifi thingie deal in NZ
Good info 🙂 Nice campingspot again ! Have a great week . Stay cool !
Thank you! We live off beautiful canpimp spots. :)
Having the freezer must be great even if you have to find 400w for it!
Its been game changer especially now when we are travelling ALOT slower.

We are often in valleys, there they use different antennas that are precisely pointed to the valley.

@@Vantasticvan Exactly. Greetings from Greece.
That is a really good price for the MU5120. It seems to be closer to 400 everywhere I look. 😒😒

@@Vantasticvan Nice, thanks! We'll keep an eye on the prices. We're way overdue for an upgrade.
Try putting your mifi in a metal bowl (like a dog bowl) when you have low signal.
Really? We do want to test out this! Thank you.
Thanks for the good info!
Great up the great work 😊
Thank you!
Keep up the great work .....even lol
Mulțumim!
Thank you SO much. Hopefully we can make a new roadtrip in Romania in near future!

I learn a lot. Very good video. I have mobile antenna + a router (because my picupcamper have metal walls and tick isolation and small vindows.
I said to Sara if we ever want to upgrade from this, it will be 5G outdoor router with 5 meter telescopic mast. :)
@@Vantasticvan hehe...mine is just 5 cm
Hi, lovely place to stop. Can you let me know where you bought your modem as will look it up. Safe travels ❤❤
We bought it from Greek online store called Skroutz, it was on sale.
Hi Joni. Any idea what temperature you get inside your Thetford fridge when it's 30c+ outside (on gas)? Keep up the great videos!

While playing CS2 40-60 to Central Europe and 80-100 to Finland from Greece. Minimal jitter, i think around 5-10.

YOU CAN GET A LYCA SIM PRE PAID SIM FOR 40 EURO AND 400 GB NET AND WORK ALL EUROPE

Why don't you use an e-SIM with an app like Airalo? Isn't your phone compliant?
Airalo would cost us over 400 euros in Greece with our data usage, now we pay just fraction of it. So its not even an option.
😄👍🌹
Can you get roof antenna connected to that modem?

Hi, Have you bought a brand new ZTE MU5120? Where you have got it under 200 euros?
