Great video, thank you so much. I used to grow sprouts for a few pet chickens. I would let them grow for a couple of more days, until they formed a couple of sets of small leaves. Then I would feed them to the chickens, along with poultry feed, kitchen scraps, etc. The sprouts were always the first thing the chickens went for.

Excellent! One tip: Turn upside down + shake well to loosen/remove shells, _before_ you remove paper towels. Much easier. You can get your fingers in there to ruffle it and they fall out. 👍

I just started mine for the first time yesterday, I've been trying to shake them out of the mesh tray so the radicals don't become permanently embedded. Now I see to just water them and keep stacking the other tray on top with a plate on that. Very helpful video for a first time sprouter. Thank you!

at craft stores there is this plastic grid that is used to do needle work with yarn. they worked great in my containers. I might go back to paper towels, as cotton towels are a pain to clean off. The worms will love the the roots and paper towels.

Some people object to the rice paper trays on grounds of safety. You could also search for food dehydrator trays on Amazon. They are available in square and round shapes. Also available in silicone (softer) or plastic (stiffer). You can cut these to size with scissors. They are meant to be in contact with food for a long time during dehydration and are made to be safe.

NICE! I am just wondering why you are growing the mung beans in this pyramid style? Is it that this is more of an efficient way of cutting off the roots? Or maybe perhaps they grow better being spaced between 3 tiers? Most vids that I see they would have just soaked that whole package of beans and thrown them in the colander basket with beans on top of one another.

Thank you for sharing this video. However, I need some more tips. I tried to grow sprouts using only paper towel, but in the 3rd day, I found some mold on the paper towel. Please help! Thank you so much

Zevania Vellyani, bellow are the common causes I found on Google and these are the facts someone may experience. I hope these will help you to avoid any of these and be successful in next trial.
      - Sprouter with poor air-circulation.
      - Insufficient Draining after Rinses.
      - High humidity in your home.
      - A not clean enough Sprouter.
      - Rinsing with warm or hot water.

I can't find those bowls anywhere. Any idea's? I don't have an Asian market near by. Janice

@jksatte I tried to search for it online for you but it seems only sold at the store. Below is a suggestion to an alternative. It’d work the same as the round bowl/basket set. I hope you find this helpful. You may have to go to Dollar Tree store for more selection on the outer basket. Below is the link for the inner one and plastic canvas you can cut out for correct size. Good luck to you!
