    "The most important thing in the world is your customers. They pay good money, and so they deserve good service!"
    Incorrect because if you don't look after your staff, then you don't have any customers.
    Look after your staff and your staff will look after your customers.

    This is disgusting. The only UB that I have seen that they didn’t even reward the workers. They were not given bonuses and the only incentive was to make the company & the bigwigs more money but not the employees. The workload has been doubled but their wages are not increased. Makes me angry.

    An elevator should replace the stairs in the archive warehouse, if you'd accept a sugestion...even a small one just for the boxes(and then you'd go doen and push the button to call the lift).

    I'm sure they didn't downsize their board of directors after the recession and didnt make any pay cuts around the table but did freeze employee pay and likely made a lot of people redundant.

    I've been watching a ton of these Undercover Bosses for a while now. So far, this is the only one where the workers get absolutely nothing back from the company for their devotion and dedication to their jobs. I am totally appalled with the way they used some of their best staff. "We'll just throw them a few peanuts and they'll be grateful to us" HEAVEN FORBID the board would tighten their belts a little to help the front line workers who put it all on the line every day for a bunch of greedy money grubbing board members who just don't give a damn for anything but their own bottom dollar. And not wanting to seem to condescending or point fingers, Mr Undercover doesn't look like he's missed to many meals or done 1/1000 of the manual labour in a year that those front line workers do in a day. I found it inconceivable that that ass would bring up the hurtful parts of their lives that they told him about and then basically turn his back and dismiss them. I'd see that as a real slap in the face and would have very politely told them where to stuff it, (since I already worked my butt off to earn the "promotions") and walked away from a company that takes away from the workers to be sure their bottom dollar isn't affected. I absolutely can't believe they posted this one. Just my opinion.

      This actually was one of the better episodes, where the CEO actually tried to learn and rewarded the people with promotions (and thus continually more money), they otherwise would not have gotten. They were recognized for their worth and potential. You pissing at 'the board' without knowing the first thing about them, reveals you've got issues there. You got hurt somewhere, and I'm sorry for that. But you take it out on the wrong ones. These people are working hard to keep the company going, providing jobs! Recession time hits home hard. As a small company owner myself, it was the employees, who got the money. Whilst we were unable to shower for months and kept but one room warm, trying to keep the business alive.

    Ive been watching several episodes of "Undercover Boss/Canada", and have even come across a few from "Undercover Boss/Australia", as well. It seems, across the board, that there were "rewarded" employees in every episode. Not to mention, more directly implemented financial assistance, where needed, in a more personally technical manner. Those movers could have at least used some special gloves, corner grips, etc., for their dangerous efforts. 😮 And, if you're a multi-million dollar company, invest in a cargo elevator/lift for the man treacherously wielding heavy boxes down flights of stairs!! Seems to me that the UK bosses should step up their game, & loosen the purse strings a bit more!!

    • @scanny8793
      @scanny8793 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used to work for a removal company years ago, a large house removal with full pack would have cost between £1500 - £3000 over 10 years ago, for a wage of £7.00 an hour.
      Plenty of international movers returning within the year as well, as it didn't work out for them.

      One could say that about nearly everything couldn't they? Food, cleaning, laundry, repairs etc etc. I would rather work some extra hours on what I like and am good at, and pay for someone to do something that I don't have any interest in and that I would probably not be as good or efficient at. It doesn't have to be laziness, it can be a logical decision.

    How's it legal to stop paying employees overtime? This show is one of the biggest ripoffs of all time. They give a few employees that were in the show a little something. The rest of the workforce doesn't rip the benefits, but the company does. How is that fair? Remember, the company also gets money from the tv production company for going undercover. The employees get a lot of exposure good or bad. The show is great for the producers and the companies, not so much for the employees of any company featured in any of the countries where it is broadcast.
