Thanks for giving insights to the carburettor compartment. My dad gave his 009 to me for a fixing cause it didn't start. The vent hose had dissolved over the years. All was left was the gas line hiding behind the carburettor. So someone pull it off the intake and connected it to the vent outtake forming a perfekt U and giving me a tennis elbow trying to jump start. What I did was to remove the nut of the handle bar completely so I could push the gas line from above onto the carburettor intake without having the nut in my way. Nice little tool this stihl 009
