Fun fact: I have a tradition where I play this song when in a plane taking off. I get the song ready and wait for the plane to start accelerating down the runway then hit play. Watching the airport pulling away while listening to this song really rocks!
Oh that's cool! 😃
How did you start this lovely tradition, may I ask?
There's something exciting about a plane accelerating down a runway and taking off. The whine of the engines, the shaking of the plane, the lifting off and steep angle climb. I tried listening to this song once during take off and it just worked. It made the takeoff even more thrilling.
My plan for my next flight!!!!
I was just thinking that pilots should play certain songs when they arrive at a destination, like New York, New York for New York, hotel California for California, and like don’t cry for me Argentina for Argentina etc.

Orange Cassidy brought me here. I didn't know he had this as his theme song in the indies but this song fits him so well and it was the first time I heard it. I had to put it on repeat. Great song
You would be surprised to know that the boy in the cover is Orange Cassidy himself.
Oh, I didn't know that either. I just thought AEW felt it was a good fit. When he was on the indies I saw an interview with him once but never saw him wrestle complete with entrance. (I did see him work a match as Fire Ant once, against the late Brodie Lee. But that was a completely different gimmick, of course.)
Who the fuck is orange Cassidy? On one hand im glad ppl are getting introduced to classics but on the other it will be associated with some dude instead for the classic it is. Im mean cmon this song was around 40 + years before some fruit cake used it for his theme song.

Mickey Thomas does some of his best vocals on this track. What a voice
Did you know Mickey Thomas sang lead vocal on "fooled around & fell in love"... guy could really belt it out
Actually makes a lot of sense thinking about it. Guy could reach that range.
Elvin Bishop actually did that song...
@@blakehamilton5065 Credited to Bishop, but it was Thomas on the vocals. Much like on many of Ted Nugent's records, it's actually Derek St. Holmes doing the singing while Ted shuts up and plays his guitar.
Bishop played lead guitar on that song.....Great song!
Mickey was on the shortlist for the lead singer for Toto but they went with Bobby Kimbell. Also the song Hold the Line inspired the sound of Jane. Full circle moment I guess.
