Hi. I just wanted to say I've gotten much better at basketball this summer because of these videos. I've become better with mid-range shooting, off-hand dribbling and moving around the court. Thank you for the very helpful advice that you present and the goal for me now is to keep going and to make the high school freshman team this year. 👍
dude you’re literally just like me, im gonna be a freshman too and just want to make the team. i have gotten the best defenders in my grade off balance with with different jabs and rips ive seen in egt videos
I live in Germany and the refs always call a travel when I try to do Euro step number 3... Man it's called EURO step but they don't like it in Europe smh... Skrt Skrt
Because it’s a travel. You need to bring the ball from left to right on the first step with a bounce. You might get away with a walk in the US but it wasn’t FIBA friendly.
Based on the rules you are allowed to shuffle your feet as many times as you want UNTIL you pick up your dribble. The first two steps occurred before he picked up his dribble, then he gets two more. Perfectly legal 👌
I have just recently thought about adding euro-step to my game and then I came into this video ! Thanks a lot, the information is more than useful, hope I`ll beat some big defenders in game with this :)
man, I do not understand English very well but I have learned a lot from you I thank you very much I will continue to watch your videos and I will put it into practice
not on this particular move because some refs might actually not start the count until the ball is "picked up" on the second step of the move, which would come after the jab. The jab if done right can be a part of the crossover when done fast. I mean when coach drew shows it slow he has to grab the ball out of the live dribble but done fast in a drive, there's no way that jab wouldn't count as being part of the dribble. That's how Kyrie managed to keep using it in his olympic appearances as well.
It's incredible to me how few people know anything about how traveling works. None of these are even close to traveling. They all use the exact same footwork as a standard layup - ball is picked up when pivot foot is established, pivot foot is lifted to make a step with other foot, and then jump off that step of other foot. 100% legal. Go actually look at the NCAA or high school rules - it is explicitly stated you can this.
Look up what a "gather step" is. You will see he is only doing a gather step and 2 steps so it ain't a travel. Then you can argue with the boys and show them that it wasn't a travel and show you are better than them
The crossover eurostep is still confusing to me as how it doesn't count as travelling but I think (and maybe it just isn't shown well when doing the slow-mo) it is when crossing over, you're making the step before the ball comes into your hand. So at 2:55 when he breaks it down to "faking middle, outside, over top", the "middle" step or first step you have to do that step before the crossover ball finishes into your hand. Is that right?
@pathunt6858. No, its not. The pick up doesn't happen until 2:56 with his left foot as step one. He then takes one more step with his right foot, and shoots. Absolutely clean. The steps before the pickup don't matter. They are between dribbles.
Would this be allowed in a Middle School league? Specifically the last one. I'm looking to use my size as an advantage against smaller defenders, and I'm wondering if this is legal outside of the NBA.
Can you make a video on how to progress through a strength program? On a lot of the EJT and Elite upper body workouts it says 8-12 reps per set but I’m not sure how to progressively increase the weight/reps Thanks
Thanks! Also, how many calories should I eat everyday, and what percentage should be carbs, proteins, fat? I’m trying to go from 125-130 lb to 130-135 lb, but I’m only 15 and I’m still growing. Thanks
Eurostep is legal in any league but I see a lot of commenters here that they have been called travelling violation for doing the euro step. Firstly, you may be doing it wrong. Anywhere in the world travelling is called whenever you had more than two steps after picking up the ball. The only difference is how they define "pick up" as basis in counting. So if you get called for travelling, either you are doing it wrong, or your opponents don't know how to count. Euro step is legal, it's the execution that really matters not to make more than two steps.
It's so simple. You are allowed two steps after you gather your dribble, so your steps only start counting after you pick up your dribble. Every time just look at when the ball is gathered. You can take as many steps as you want as long as you don't carry the ball.
@@beefcurrywithrice Based on the rules you are allowed to shuffle your feet as many times as you want UNTIL you pick up your dribble. The first two steps occurred before he picked up his dribble, then he gets two more. Perfectly legal 👌

The number 3 play has major issues, in your first demo of play 3, the right foot is your pivot foot and it replants making it a travel. in the 2nd demo, of play 3, maybe your left foot is the pivot and didn't replant, in the 3rd demo of play 3 your left foot is the pivot and replants, travel.
