When I read the lines that all of you have written, I am truly great-full and amazed. I sincerely appreciate all of your words about the songs that I'm am singing and knowing that you mean exactly what you have printed. I truly wish that I could see you all in person and thank you for all your kind words. God bless you all.....
Bob, you are pure class and a rare talent. If Frank was the Chairman of the Board, you are certainly the Vice Chairman. Wishing you many more successful years. Hope to see you in person some day.
Holy crap! Carson's two favorite songs, Rainy Day and One for my Baby, that Bette sang for him the night before the last show. Sinatra live was not Sinatra on his records. All of the deviations from script, the evocative pauses, the entertainer. I kept waiting for Rickles to wander out on stage. Bob, I can't imagine the hours that it took to get to this point, but you nailed it! I could smell the cigarette smell. Unreal!
The incredible thing to me is that Bob is not just doing Sinatra, but he’s doing Frank at a certain age. This is not young Frank’s voice, but rather Frank in the last third of his career. It reminds me of when Meryl Streep, in ‘Sophie’s Choice’, decided that she had to learn to speak German with a Polish accent to make it authentic. That’s the attention to detail Bob brings to Sinatra. As Frank himself would say: marvelous!
I’m absolutely blown away. Bob, you don’t just capture Sinatra’s “third act voice” (for lack of a better phrase); you breathe new life into it - honoring him while weaving a lovely thread of yourself through it. Thanks for this gift.
Thank you Matt. I sincerely appreciate your words. I love Sinatra and his music. I do think without question, he is right at the top when it comes to singing his Jazz-Pop style of music. My goal is to keep his music going for the younger generation to hear. I have met hundreds of the younger people who have come up to me after my shows and thanked me for bringing his music to their attention. Many of them have continued to play his music all the time. His daughter Nancy started me in the business. Through the years I was fortunate enough to have worked with him in Las Vegas at the Dunes Hotel, Atlantic City at Steve Wynn's Golden Nugget and the Walldorf Astoria Hotel in Manhattan. God bless you and thanks again for the kind words.
@@BobAndersonMusic I'm one of those people. I always knew about this style of music but didn't appreciate it until I watched some medleys of you doing hits from different icons. I was so busy focusing on your execution that I didn't realize the music was growing on me. Now it gives me a sense of nostalgia for things I never even experienced. It's a bittersweet sense of satisfaction. Thanks for all you've done.
Oh how I wish I had found this video two years ago before my Father passed away. He loved Frank Sinatra and I know he would have enjoyed this. Dad knew all the songs and I can just hear him singing along. Sad memories don’t hurt that bad when great music lets you smile. ❤
I was fortunate to watch this show live in Las Vegas and it was outstanding fabulous. I’ve seen so many Sinatra impressionist, but “your” Sinatra is by far the best. I liked that show that much, that I returned to see it again at the end of my Vegas vacation. ❤❤❤ hope to see you perform again. Best regards from Germany
Carsten...I just want to thank you for your kind words. I would love to come to Germany and do a show. I have worked in many countries in the past, but I have not performed in Germany. Again, I thank you for telling me that you saw the show in Las Vegas a couple times. If you ever see me anywhere performing, please come up to me and say hello. All the best my friend.
Love your songs and your talent....saw you a number times in LV. YOU'RE AS GOOD AS ANY OF THEM. And you have a great voice on your own . Thanks for all the wonderful memories you bring back. All best luck and wishes to you and those you love😊😊
Thank you so much. I do those songs not only because I am impersonating, but because they are such great songs i can't put them down. Again...thank you and I hope we get the chance to say hello some time. God bless you......
I was fortunate enough to see the show at the Palazzo. It remains the gold standard for me by which all other Songbook performances are judged. I am also a fan of Steve Maglio, but this show was another level beyond. I still get goosebumps when I think of how uncannily Mr Anderson channeled Frank Sinatra. We were in the front row, and it really felt as if we were sitting 10 feet away from the man himself. Sure hope you'll make it back to Vegas soon!
Gregory .. take a look and listen to Joe Longthorne on TH-cam.. Joe sadly is no longer with us .. we lost him to Cancer just a few years ago .. a thoroughly decent man and a legendary performer .. and just like Sinatra .. he was a perfectionist on stage ..
Totally agree Gregory, fabulous performance from a very very talented man ,I’m 70 years old and only heard of Bob a few months ago, my bucket list is to get to Las Vegas to see this wonderful artist
I just discovered this and I already love it🙏🏾 27 now and got into Sinatra at 18. Gratitude for keeping his music and those alike alive. You and George Strait are the only reason I’d go to Vegas
Thank you so much Mark. My pianist was Vince Falcone. He was the best in the business at what he did. All of the biggest stars of the time wanted Vince as their conductor and pianist. He was Sinatras Musical Director and piano player for 12 years. He was also Tony Bennett's, Andy Williams, Robert Goulet, Jack Jones, Joe Williams, Jerry Lewis, Sammy Davis Jr. and a few more and that was just the guys.
I’ve wanted to see this show for years. A dream of mine really, especially since I am too young to have been able to see Sinatra. As soon as it comes back I will be in attendance. Bob Anderson is a master of his craft!
Bob Anderson, you are nothing short of absolutely AMAZING! You bring such happiness with your talent! I love watching your posts. Thank you so much for sharing.
