LOVE the quote at the end about greatness. People forget Cole is producing a lot of his own stuff, on top of being a great MC. Drake is a hit machine. Kendrick is the soul. They all have their place.
Kendrick isn’t the soul what’re you talking about you people are sick in the head Kendrick doesn’t have bars at all and that album he dropped should tell you that he’s no clever he’s no biggie or drake
Russ you are an amazing role model. Perfection is unattainable but you sir are my role model and I’m proud that my 8 year old daughter loves you to and I feel like when she gets older she will view you as a role model too but I’m proud to show her your music and talk about the concepts within your music with her. You are enough! @russ
Thank you for all these honest and genuine answers, thought-provoking impulses! YOU are a crucial part of the whole movement and a prime example for a soul to toe artists! And I think all that success is also not very pleasant when you have are in an environment you don’t feel safe in.
YOU ARE living in a black mirror episode 😣 but I think creative people are currently waking up! Agin from your softness and from Tyler , asap, bullie… 🩵
They always wanna reference take care . The best melodies were written by the weeknd that's why he can't repeat it , In fact most of drakes best stuuf is plaguerized or ghost writtern ,Stop giving dude so much credit
23:48 that's crazy, all that power misused by rap artists nowadays => watch that party die... And then the interviewer response is just so accurate, we need to acknowledge that 25:03
Interesting conversation around the 15:00 mark. In '48 Laws of Power' by Robert Greene, Law 29 is 'Plan all the way to the end'. I think this would be an intelligent way to approach any career, but especially a music artist's career. What are you trying to achieve with your music? Who are you trying to help/inspire, etc.? How long will you be creating music for? At what point will you be hanging up your boots? What do you have to achieve in order to feel as though you've done your bit? What's your dream legacy? What's your exit strategy? What will you be transitioning into after music? Or is it your dream to always remain a musician? I think that by answering these questions, it would be easier to have a more well-defined plan going forward, and is more likely to prevent stagnation/feeling lost. Deeply reflecting on those and other similar questions might provide some guidance for Russ.
no I‘m trying to emphasize how crazy the 15-year-run is that kendrick, cole and drake are currently on. some idolized legends from the past only had 3-4 prime years
What's interesting about Russ's comments is Drake is partly to blame for what he was criticizing about Rap today. Also people who do great things can get criticised like anyone else.
Aria my man, you have just shot to the top of my list of favorite interviewers. Excellent work.
Hope this interview gets the attention that it’s deserves. Aria one of the best interviewer we got in Germany
fax
This guy is a sick interviewer
In Germany we'd call him "Ehrenmann"

Drakes beginnings were stolen from Abel and arguably 808s and Heartbreaks…dude doesn’t have his own sound
Can’t repeat it, dude made 100 another hits after take care, stop the yap 😂😂
@@vd4689reading is fundamental…the point of contention was the stealing of ideas lol…not hits
Weeknd never made take care he wrote 2 songs you people aren’t even from Toronto and speak on our artists like you have say STFU you weirdo
@@hejjanko thank you

But Russ talks about running through hoes and alchohol too so what’s the difference?
@jofieji5312 what do you expect from me, my guy? You don't even use your real name... Are you even really a human being?
@@alexmvone349 why would I use my real name on internet comment sections? What benefit does that bring me?
Such a master class for an artist
Aria Bruder du hast es geschafft 💪🏼
Russ is real individual he always stays to what he believes in love it
Great interview bro 🎉
Wow !!!!!!!!

wait on the last segment was Aria claiming the 90s only had 3/4 good years b/c if so he's nuts

Whatchya mean fake??? He’s an apple interviewer
Eminem geht jeden Tag ins Studio... Akon hat mal erzählt dass Em es wie ein 9/5 Job behandelt
Why russ talk and sound way different wtf
What's interesting about Russ's comments is Drake is partly to blame for what he was criticizing about Rap today. Also people who do great things can get criticised like anyone else.
Why he speak about Will Smith like that he like kinda weird
agree with everything but lebrons whack
