  • This has got to be one of the most stunning trails in the USA, with spectacular panoramic views of three remote canyons, two rivers, the Yampa and the Green and their confluence at Steamboat Rock.
At an elevation of 7,550 feet the trail runs north along a narrow ridge, 2,500 feet above the rivers, is graded moderate and is just over two miles round trip.
This is stunning, high remote, wilderness country.
To the east of Harpers Corner Lookout the one mile long, 1,000 feet high Steamboat Rock hosts the confluence of the Green and Yampa Rivers in Echo Park
The Yampa is a wild river and flows 250 miles from its source in the Colorado Rocky Mountains to its confluence with the Green River.
The Green River has uncovered the Mitten Park Fault, exposing near vertical rock layers formed a billion years ago, long before the Dinosaurs.
