He's a top bloke and is loved by us all @ Leinster and Ireland even the Munster fans deep down love him but refuse to show it publically … bless ‘em 😉

Great interview, some really interesting stuff, especially the way some ABs know little about some of their opponents. James could easily have been an AB but it's a great story the way it's worked out. As a Kiwi, got great respect for this Irish team.
Lowe has won the respect of the whole nation with his performances over the last year. Definitely hit a speed bump after his first cap for Ireland but came back stronger and nailed down that left wing spot!
James Lowe was a great player here in NZ. At the time unfortunately there were some pretty incredible wingers in NZ. The player you guys see in Ireland is very different to the one who starred in the Chiefs 2014-2017. Still had a good step & a hell of a left foot but man he was quick one of the quickest wingers in NZ. Have you heard of the "Dmac & Lowe Show"? When these 2 combined in the Chiefs they were fucken deadly. As a strong Chiefs supporter my all time 15 would have James Lowe 14 Damian Mackenzie 15. Just want to say on behalf of all the Chiefs fans here in NZ good on you the bro James you have achieved soo much in europe & primo as bro go well.

Lowe, has a bit of history of dissing the Dodder 😉 commenting on the leinster v Chile game he called it the liffey. James has a bit to go before being a real South sider 😉 Joking apart. When James was asked to join a club he chose Clondalkin a club so far from the traditional dublin club culture and I believe he gets involved in the club.
Ireland not only created a good development base via their schools, academies and provincial club system - but also via very intelligent importing of real talent. The national qualification rules (debatable) helped them - but they selected who very well. Lowe, Gibson-Park, Hanson, Stander are quality diamonds.
Hes an awesome player. Like most countries, its hard to crack top sides when the coaches have biases towards certain guys from schools etc. I don't think Lowey would have cracked it here - and am happy he's doing well in Ireland. They are an awesome side. The next world cup is going to be amazing, and I think it will suit the ABs well to be outsiders!

James does bring up a good point in regards to not alot of fans knowing much about some of the Irish Players and that is somewhat true - But in our defence - We simply don't get a whole lot of European club games over here other than perhaps on the rugby channel which you have to pay for. We get alot of Super Rugby and NRL with every game shown live so thats pretty mu8ch our bread and butter footy of what we watch. We may get the random european club game here and there but its very random - 1 fortnight it an English game then next fortnight its a japanese club game - very random so hard for us as fans to engage in a club comp and its players if we don't get it on a consistent basis like SR and NRL

Be interesting to see if we get more of this with the 5 year residency rule now , from memory James got in just in time to qualify under the old 3 year rule
Could tell ireland in the first nz test were at least knocking on the door , all their systems set up so many chances , they just took barely any of them few of the nz tries were big intercepts from them running the entire length of the pitch
Nonsense. He was the top winger for 2 seasons in NZ and was not getting the nod because the lineup for positions of guys whom had already put in the wait behind other guys was to long. He made to only chose for a professional and it was right for his career and earning potential.
