Radrat's video concludes in defending Chris and saying, no, he isn't cheating. Rat has only ever made positive videos, and he paid so much respect to Haslmam, your takes are so painfully out of touch. You could say he used clickbait, but even then it was mild - And he answered the question in a positive way, with trick breakdown and everything. Watch the video on air.

I agree... I've been watching him for years... I'll admit I didn't know what to think of him at first. After you've watched his channel enough you understand who he is, and that he actually cares about skateboarding, He knows his stuff and I respect that. They reacted to the sentence "Chris Haslam cheats on his switch lazer flips", it basically has nothing to do with Radrat or what he said in the video. It's about the notion that Haslam would be "cheating" and somebody made a video about it.

I used to work at Whole Foods in Santa Cruz and this guy used to come in often. It was like seeing Bigfoot. ; )
Loved how he mentioned Daewon and him would have a comp who could do a blunt tre flip first at demos. REWIND to 2009 at a DVS demo at academy skatepark in CT, Im sitting on the a 10 ft quarter pipe no one's skating and Daewon cruises across the skate park first try does blunt 360 flip out next to me sitting on the coping. He gives me a look as he rolls away "like that one was for you" and the crowd fucking erupts!!!!.......... I hold onto that moment still to this day and will always seeing the legend in the flesh killing it. Got to meet dubs that day and many more who were on the DVS team at the time I want to say Chris was there was there aswell but I didn't see him.

I miss Academy. The demos there were so good. Daewon and Jimmy Cao destroyed that place and then chilled with everyone in the parking lot afterwards.

The thing about Haslam is not only does he think way outside of the box, but he makes it look so good! Some of the newer gimmicky trick skateboarders let their tricks look kinda ugly

In the age of social media having a guy like Haslam is refreshing. He never sold out and is always just himself with his own unique style. Its crazy to me that one of my favorite skaters as a kid doesn't have sponsors anymore for no reason. Seems like skate companies are cutthroat once you reach a certain age bc of how marketing works. Mullen, Haslam, Daewon are all guys that make skating an art style and not afraid to get weird with it

I lived in Vancouver late 90s and Grizzly was hitting Richmond alot and you could tell he was on a diff level. Then he just kept progressing and blowing minds.
Such a legend. And if you met him in public you probably would never know it. So humble.
They aren't even referring to Rad Rat, they're just referring to some content and anonymous dude on the Internet that they don't even know or care about. And as Kelly Hart is one of the most loved pros among pros, it seems bizarre that so many of Rad Rats fans are going personal on this. The whole incident is just a footnote in a fine Haslan interview. I like Rad Rat, but his fans should get themselves under control.

The cast were just responding to the idea that someone was calling out one of the best skaters in the world for misnaming one of his tricks. Had any one of us been there, we would have reacted with the same astonishment. But hey, I guess you'd want to live in a world where the respondent would say "Wait, let us stop here and find out exactly who stated this and watch his video to see if he was actually correct in his assertions before we continue". What bothered me was the PERSONAL attacks from some of your group to the Nine Club cast for reacting in a perfectly natural way to something. And your response to me epitomises the cancelest mindset. Chris is almost too humble for his own good. He thinks every thing he films needs to be progressively elevated but I would pay to watch the guy pick his nose on a board.
Shoutout to Chris man, Im 28 now prolly 13-14 at the time and I can still remember to this day skating with him at our local park in Michigan Simplicity. It was around Christmas time and said he was visiting family and stopped in. Put on an absolute clinic on the mini and was just a super rad dude. I don’t skate anymore but find myself watching clips and this channel all the time. Shit like this makes me want to get back on a board. Shoutout to you guys

I got to skate with Rodney and daewon at skate shack in lisle IL at a demo in 1999. I found a video of them doing the demo. I was just a kid. I did my first kickflip off a launch ramp. I skated alot better when having better people around.
They never named radrat, nor showed a picture of him, his thumbnail or anything. Just "That guy..." , so fuck it, is there not enough drama in the world? He doesnt even exist at this level of skateboarding, or perhaps right on the periphery of their world, so its a stretch to say that they "dissed" him.

Honestly, take the temperature down a bit. They're not planning to flush RedRat's head in the toilet, Kelly called him a dork on the perceived basis that he was calling out Haslam for how he does a trick. He's doing a trick on a skateboard, and you didn't even have to pay to enjoy it. Stop getting fucked up on how someone rides, and be stoked that Chris is still releasing his tricks for us to get stoked on.
Chris needs to be on Nike or New Balance or someone he can feel good riding for but that will also put money behind him so he can put out a couple video parts every year. He's too good and one-of-a-kind to not see more of him
