When she decided to do this song, even though her husband left her for someone else, and was having an affair… She decided to sing this song as if she was the other woman. So she starts out, wanting him to stay with her, and at the end, she builds up her own strength and tells him to stay with his partner, and that she is better off without him. Very unique and wonderfully sung song.
Thanks for the backstory…the first time that I saw her perform this, she literally had tears coming from her eyes. So I knew this song had to have special meaning for her…very moving!

A lot of the time the person that is married/committed isn't honest about being with someone else already. By the time the person tells you/you find out they are committed to someone else, you have already developed strong feelings or fallen in love with them. It's not always the other person's fault the relationship develops as far as it does.
