I purchased this set up individually. I use a 5 dollar paper dart board and mount 4' by 4" adhesive cork sheet I shoot at 4 meters and have been able to reuse the darts with the loss of a single dart due to the Malibu falling out. The paper dartboard has no wires on one side so easy to mount a Shoot NC target. The average group size is 1.5 inch. Sounds like you have defective darts. Concept works, think you just need to have them replace the dart or try a different dart brand. Darts are lots of fun in low powered guns. Think of it as a bad tin of pellets.
I bought the Ruger Mark IV pellet pistol separately. Then I bought a cheap 3 dollar dart board at the thrift shop. Then I bought a pack of darts from Amazon. So far, everything works great, and the darts reload each time with no problems. Also haven't lost any feathers yet. But if I do then I'll super glue them back in. You got a very bad deal and I'm sorry to hear that! Oh, and I still have my old Marksman pistol, it's from about 1970 and it's called an MPR, looks like a 1911 and still works perfectly. I still have some of the old darts for it, and they are made of brass or something decently nice. But the Ruger shoots much harder so I can fire darts from further away which is kind of nice. The old Marksman pistol is good, but only at standard dart throwing range of 9 feet.
that a shame you could glue the ends in and use a pellet sizer so they will fit. at the same time you shouldnt have to. for the money spent it should of worked out the box. thanks for the info
I wish someone made darts that weren't steel. That's gotta hurt the rifling, so really only good for smooth bore. I'm surprised that "Air Gun Darts" is not more of a thing. In Europe darts is very popular and air pistols are also fairly popular. You can enjoy such a game even in your apartment if your gun is fairly quiet. It needs to become a thing!.
I’m with you! While Zimmerschutzen (Parlor shooting) has been quite popular in Europe for centuries, it hasn’t really ever caught on in the US. Shooting highly accurate low powered darts or pellets can be amazing fun and highly therapeutic as a stress reducer. Anyone we’ve had try it was an immediate fan. I also agree we need better darts available to all so we have some form of standard. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. Hope to hear more from you.
