To be honest when people said "look" I think we were mostly complaining that they didn't give us OG quality, The material and craftsmen-ship was not the same as the OG's, therefore it didn't look the same. These prices just keep going up and quality keeps going down.

By adding the high patent leather they have corrected the overall shape of the 11 and now the shoe actually looks very close to the original! The low patent leather was always wrong and severely mis-shaped the shoe! Jordan brand is doing the right thing on the 11 and other models by returning them to their original shape and not the shape that younger consumers are use to!

The only thing is the icy outsole getting yellow overtime, but that's okay, that can be washed properly with baking soda. Love the nubuck, giving the shoe dress up feel. My only question is, can they last if I ball in them? Anyways, Im getting the 11 cap a d gown for formal wear and the aj 12 retro royalty casual wear and playing basket ball in them. I must say tho, playing ball with 12 royalty feels like a crime to me , they look sooooo dope!
wore these to my college grad and they matched perfectly with my cap and gown, and were really comfortable too. i wouldnt say its an everyday shoe personally. id be too worried about the gloss getting scuffed, so for me its definitely a replacement for traditional dress shoes for events. some better beaters would be anything with simple leather on em like air force 1s or some of the jordan 4s lineup. i have the Jordan 4 Retro Military Black, which imo are better beaters than the 11s cap gown because the leather is easy to clean and looks better overtime as they get worn in.
My biggest gripe is the price point:that’s a deal breaker for me = pass. I love 11’s but I’m not about to get ripped off / robbed by JB. Absolutely ridiculous and if we keep paying pretty soon the price would be $300!!!!!! 👍
