I'm just glad the Great Fairy looks decent in Hyrule Warriors considering they used Ocarina's design. The Great Fairy always freaked me out as a child.

yes u can say that most games, but comes to destiny warriors its truly u love it or hate them games, they don't revolve much, think Zelda version did evolve more then normal series, has great roster of chars, power ups, etc.
yeah, but there is a difference .With a game like Deadly premonition, the amount of people who like the game compared to don't like it is pretty even. But there are games like the last of us which are just great games.

I think you should be able to play as Navi and you could annoy your enemys to death.

I'm LOVING this game! He is right about the surprisingly deep gameplay. At some point you will start to realize it's more about killing many enemies at once rather than just one. Early on the enemies DO SUCK but, it's not about that. More of killing a lot as quickly as possible! Later, this will be difficult as even basic looking enemies like Bokoblins take more and more damage to kill. The challenges in Adventure Mode get pretty challenging too. Many require you to get an "A" rank to get more stuff for your characters. The requirements are basic stuff like KOing 1,500 enemies in less than 15:00 without taking too much damage. This can be incredibly challenging when you are getting swarmed and not ready for certain enemies. Like Manhandla who decides to use his rapid fire seed attack! Which pretty much guarantees a "B" rank or lower. As, it takes a good chunk of your health. Most of the "A" rank rewards are Heart Pieces or Heart Containers. This is quite annoying to me for one reason. Let me set up a scenario. It's like jumping into a Legend of Zelda game taking the 3 heart challenge but, still collecting every heart piece and heart container you come across. Anyway, my favorite characters would be the three chosen warriors. Link, Zelda and, Ganondorf! Link has the most weapons in the game for almost every element. All are really fun to use! Although, the Great Fairy can be a bit shall we say distracting at times. Ganondorf is excellent for crowd control! He has possibly my favorite combo in the game where a giant shadow beast emerges from him and punches the ground. It kills WELL over any of the special attacks in the game at once. Lucky thing too! As, he has some of the more challenging missions in Adventure Mode. Who doesn't love Zelda? I was confused at first about her play style but, quickly learned about the three light attacks. Press "Y" on your controller and, she will point her sword to the sky! This may seem useless at first but, really improves her combos for crowd control and dealing heavy damage on one single enemy! Overall, I'm really liking this game and recommend it!
makes me laugh after so many games there's still camera issues i was laughing testing this game out, will pick it up when i got money for Wii U.
The criteria for an A rank is, normally, get 1,200 KO's in 15 minutes without taking 10 or more hearts of damage. There are some exceptions, like some master quest ones where they strike a certain one of the 3 off, or on harder adventure battles where you can take more damage and still get an A rank, most notably on the level for Ganondorf's lvl 3.
Hmm most of the challenges I got 1,400 KOs and the game did not allow it. Perhaps, I am confusing myself because I had to retry so many of those difficult challenges where they make exceptions like that. So, you may be right about that. I can't remember the exact challenge for Gandorf's lvl 3 but, I know I did it because I have it. If you remember might you refresh my memory? I just know he had some extremely difficult challenges. His three giant boss challenge against Gohma, King Dodongo and, Ganon. The defeat all enemies challenge where the first fight is against the Imprisoned and it's two babies. Also, his challenge against Agitha's forces at the temple of souls are all EXTREMELY aggravating. Another thing I like about this game is all the references to the LoZ series it makes. Like Darunia's Victory animation, the Majora's Mask moon in (not only the cutscene PBG showed) but, in the hookshot power up where you can pull it down yourself. The ever popular Cuccos make a return and put up quite a challenge when you slash them up a bit. I'm still learning things about this game too. Just yesterday I learned about Sheik playing the temple songs from Ocarina of Time. You'll notice each of her combos gives a different element effect. "BY" launches a water tornado, press "Y" afterwards to play the Serenade of Water and create a shield for yourself. "BBY" drops a meteor on an opponent, press "Y" afterwards to play the Bolero of Fire and create an alchemic symbol on the ground, a fire column will deal good damage to enemies within the symbol. "BBBY" shoots lightning at nearby enemies, press "Y" afterwards to play the Requiem of Spirit and form a sandy/lightning whirlwind around yourself, any enemies touching it will cause some damage to them. "BBBBY" makes Sheik teleport in the air and drop down on an opponent with darkness effects, press "Y" afterwards to play the Nocturne of Shadow and create a darkness whirlwind in front of you (kind of like the Requiem of Spirit effect except it always stays in one place and seems to magnetize enemies to it.) "BBBBBY" launches light all around Sheik, Press "Y" afterwards to play the Prelude of Light and, it makes square of light on the ground that... well I'm still trying to figure out what it does. Pressing "R" puts your character in Focus Spirit. Pressing "X" in this mode will launch a special attack and, expose enemies life gauges. For Sheik she will play the Minuet of Forest and cause trees to sprout up, similar to Lana's special attack.

Just keep in mind that on the basic adventure map, the only objective that gets altered is damage taken, time and KO's is always the same depending on whether it is a challenge or adventure battle.
I am also trying to figure out what the light square thing is supposed to do, and with Majora's moon, you forgot about the Great Fairy's (link weapon) special attack where she literally drops it on a cluster of enemies in front of you.
That's typical for Dynasty Warriors: the foot soldiers are supposed to suck and only really get in the way when they occasionally disrupt your combos - which on higher difficulties can easily result in your death.
(Not to mention that they can almost one-shot you at that point.)

I'm obsessed with this game! I've already put in over a 100 hours easily, and although I've beat Legend mode, unlocked all the characters, and finished opening up all of Adventure mode, there's still so many unique weapons, hearts, and gold skultulas to collect that I've missed and I've just begun the Master Quest map... Also, Volga is hands down the best character to play as! He can turn into the dragon and cause large scale mayhem without using any magic or yellow force gems! OP My Volga is currently on level 73, yet all my other characters are in their low 40's with the exception of Link, Zelda, Lana, and Ruto who are all in their mid 50's.
I'm in the same boat. :D I haven't played many hack and slash games, and the last time I played a Dynasty Warriors game was at a friend's house nine years ago. It felt/feels like a fresh new experience for me, so I've gone into completionist mode. :P
When Christmas rolls around, I'll have the game. I can't wait! :D
I love the game and am in the same boat as you, but me as a completionist, must say that it is an absolute nightmare to complete, I will agree that Volga is OP though, I got his lvl 3 in no time at all, although I'm not sure if or how you can shoot the fireball when he goes into his dragon form for the combo attack.
IMO i think shiek is also op as f, a 4 hearts shield can be pretty useful to get a ranks and hers combos are just awesome, aoe and a lot of dmg, can't go wrong with that

I agree! When playing as her (I consider Link's Great Fairy weapon more of another playable character. With Link as a weapon) she gets extremely distracting. When in intense battles with some bosses. If you lock on to them the camera zooms in making her ass take up much of the screen. Quite distracting when going for "A" ranks against The dickhead Imprisoned.

That spinning PBG head on the "loading screen" did it for me. Don't you love that feeling when you laugh so much your sides hurt? I like videos pretty conservatively because I want to be able to look at the liked playlist for some of my favorite videos whenever I want to, but that, whoa man, that earned it.

one of my favorite characters to use is Link using the great fairy weapon
where instead of playing as link you play as THE GREAT FAIRY HERSELF...she's essencially huge and her attacks cover a wide area...and she is unique in the sense that gibos CAN'T STUN HER with their screams...which is just nice!
Also her special attack in which she slams the moon from Majoras mask into her enemies always makes me laugh...I can't explain why its funny to me, it just IS.
The end credit section sounds like something out of a fanfiction or a weird dream
I gotta say, the 60 fps really makes those "shaky moments" a lot funnier. (ex. the UH OH at 0:37)

I have nothing against her, it's just that I really don't see why she's a main, playable character. She's just an NPC, in a hut, in ONE GAME and doesn't contribute much to the plot. Adding a character that has such insignificance in the timeline and making her an important character is really odd. It's like, what next? The happy mask salesman in the DLC??

Im in the same boat where I've never played a DW game, so the closest thing I could relate it to gameplay wise was Star Wars Battlefront. Needless to say this is my favorite Zelda game and the DLC is great.

Matthew Davis Yeah, but just like what C- Maker mentioned, she's just... slow. its very... meh to me. Of course, I probably like characters that are unique and deadly at the same time like my main guy who was released from DLC packs recently and is pretty awesome at the same time... Young Link! But... Agitha... hmmm... I really tried to like her. Sure she is cute and her lines are adorable, but what do you get when you get a cute fighter normally? That's right, probably horrible stats/attacks. My character rating for her is a shoulder shrug/10.
Young link is kinda OP tho. Iunno I main Zulda. Rapier too güd.

I bought Hyrule Warriors the day of its release, and I love it. Sometimes, it can get really hard, though. The other warriors are so weak that you have to babysit everyone and deal with all the problems and enemy attacks yourself all at once.
The only part of it that's hard for me (unless I'm playing on Hero difficulty) is anything where I have to fight Agitha, since they always give her ridiculous defense, and that move where she becomes vulnerable while dropping the giant green beetle is cheap as hell, since if you take a single whack at her you'll usually collide with the beetle and get hurt.
And of course the AI almost never uses any other move that leaves her vulnerable.
Then again, I guess the Imprisoned is another enemy that's kind of difficult.
However, most of the difficulty from those two is just how cheap they usually are and how frustrating their AI is.
"Zelda, handle yourself for a bit. I need to help a chicken find it's mother so they don't eff us over later on."

Dynasty Warriors is one of my favorite game franchises, and when you said the enemies and allies suck, you're right. Even as a little kid I learned to stop relying on my allies in Dynasty Warriors lol

Never played Dynasty Warriors and had kinda low expectations. Don't even know why I bought it at day one. Probably because Zelda.. But I freakin love it, and I'm still playing
