    That’s a slick setup

That will be very handy for you! Nice job. Now you need to save your nickels and pennies and get yourself a synthetic line. They are so nice and will actually pull more than the cable

Thanks! That's a good idea. Probably much easier and safer to handle, than cable...

Tesser52 yes sir you can take your gloves off if you want too haha. They are pretty “proud” of them but I have never been sorry I made the switch. You can put a lot more on your spool too

@@tesser5250 They strong but they don't hold up to rugged work like pulling logs. Your welcome Der Guy.

If you check out the MC519 video I did last year, I think I show the hook up mechanism and pins etc.

Your 3rd link from 3 point needs a bolt that goes straight threw. It wont last long like that , going threw only one side of boom mount..

Maybe it is the way it appears in the video, but that pin holding the top link in place definitely goes all the way through the boom link!

Whoops! I just double checked and you were right, the pin had pulled through! I had quickly hooked it up using the top pin from my 3pt reciever/weight bar, which is slimmer than the much heavier pin I use for the implements. Well spotted, thanks!

So I see that you are acquiring more 3 point implements. Are they all cat 0 or do you also have a cat 1-3 point for your 445?

    • @tesser5250

I have several implements and they are all cat 1. My hitch is cat 0, so I normally re-drill the implements for cat 0 pins. However, if you see the first video I did on the boom pole, I show some new pins I discovered that step cat1 down to cat 0.

@@tesser5250 I did get a catalog from Agri Supply. Great tip thanks.
What I have found is the difference in width of cat. 0 and cat. 1 -3 point hitches. Looks like you have the pins turned in and the hitch at the end of the pins. I know the pins are hardened but don't you have a problem with them bending? Ever thought of using a quick hitch? Maybe one adapted to cat 0?

I've never had pins bend. I've had a very heavy rear bucket scoop for many years, that I worked very hard, and never had a problem with the pins. My cat 0 arms will just about go around the outside of the boom pole, but hook up is just a lot easier on the inside. I've had the pins that way on a heavy grader blade, again without any issues. If necessary, a few washer or bushing on the pins would move the arms along the pins towards the implement. I've not considered a quick hitch, but often thought of just switching my lift arms for cat 1 arms (there is a cat 1 hitch for the 445). However, since I've never had a problem using cat 0 pins, I just have not bothered. I must say, those new adapter pins make it much easier...

I need the hitch the boom pole attaches too.

Should replace those brackets with leaf spring u-bolts and brackets. Notch a little out of the tube bracket with a angle grinder if needed.

Ok, thanks. So far, that set up has been working just fine...

Need to adjust your bottom links out before you bend the pins!
