My favorite thing in the Kitchen is my Dutch Oven. Every kitchen should have one. I use at least 3x a week in the winter and weekly during the summer! It's the best.

Favorite thing in the kitchen- that’s a toss up, between the American Standard colander/ drainer, that’s set at the right, front to back, spanning inside of my ridiculously big (22”) sink, in our small kitchen, or the narrow oblong plastic oversized low organizer bin that I line with a folded dish towel and set to the left of the sink, along the backsplash. The colander is a “Temporary/ No Overnight Parking zone”, as I frequently throw veggies or fruit in it, and wash them off. It often momentarily accommodates just washed bowls and utensils, and it gets washed numerous times in a day. A wonderful thrift find!
The narrow bin has a rubberized base, and holds a huge amount of utensils, drying on the towel, dishes gently leaning up against the backsplash, without blocking the main counter work space above the dishwasher. Above is a dish towel that is reserved for clean, mostly dry utensils.
I do own the ingenious roll-up metal rod/silicone edged dish drainer, but the previously mentioned two draining locations pretty much do the job.
I can recommend the Simple Human paper towel holder, which is Stupid easy to refill, releases sheets positively, and hangs under my kitchen cabinet, perpendicular to the wall, near the sink. It was not by any means inexpensive, but it’s ideal for the task. I guess I can’t decide- so my sink periphery is my favorite “thing”, at the moment.
This video was music to my ears! You orchestrate your home wonderfully! Lucky, lucky clients!
    Thanks!

HAHA - the insert of the cat trying to get treats pantry footage is the best ;) One of the best parts of our current kitchen is using one of the side sections as a baking center. A tower of cabinets with one small counter and a drawer next to the double ovens - perfection!

Too many years in the restaurant business. I don't towel dry anything unless I use a paper towel. My favorite thing in the kitchen right now is the new chrome rack I bought, set up in the utility room, and moved all my pantry items out there. Space....it's a wonderous thing :)

We actually are in the middle of getting quotes for a kitchen remodel. My kitchen is a good size, but it’s not as functional as I would like it to be. My espresso maker will always be the star of my kitchen. As an ex- trainer/mgr for a large coffee company, it’s nice to be able to make a “fancy” drink when I feel like it.

I know I'm coming to this video a little late (I don't watch much TH-cam), but this is exactly the video I needed as I get ready to reorganize my kitchen. The inefficiency of it is driving me absolutely crazy, since I love to cook and spend a fair amount of time in there every week. Thanks for the tips! I'm totally one of those people loving my air fryer right now, and proud to admit it. My brand new addition this week is that I give my tinned chickpeas a quick pan fry with some spices and grapeseed oil, and then toss them in the air fryer for a crunchy addition to my wraps.

I'm in process of planning storage in my soon-to-be-complete Granny Flat kitchen - so exciting!! So thinking of what I have, (in storage, and some with me at my daughter's), and what I'll need/ want for the new space!
Current favorite is my under sink water filter system (soon to be installed!) and the counter pitcher from the same company that filters fluoride!! (Dang city decision over 70 years ago!!) The filters are recyclable, and the under-sink is designed to last 12-14 months for one person and pet (kitty Percy, who's also eager to move in!)
I will be getting an air fryer, (my daughter loves hers!) and a cooktop (the stove doesn't really fit the space, and I don't bake much - so will use the air fryer and see how that works!)
I will also have an electric tea kettle - and use a French press or make tea 🍵

We are 2 pensioners in a condo apartment. I get a lot of use out of my toaster oven even though it takes up some counter real estate. Panko breaded pork chops, baked fish, roasted potatoes. Because it's small I never pre-heat.

I air dry anything I wash up, unless I run out of room or it's something fragile that I don't want to risk putting in a crowded dish rack. My issue is finding an optimal space for reusable containers! They're above the fridge at the moment and I have to use my step ladder to get to them, which isn't ideal. My favourite thing in the kitchen is my coffee machine!

Angel Paddington is still watching over you...and probably encouraging you to give Clover treats 🐱🐾🐕
Dishwasher on extra dry...wipe anything dry that I hand wash. I put it away right off or will never do it. That routine keeps me from getting a pile up.
Current fun kitchen item is a Whirley-pop. Just made 3 batches of popcorn ( yes butter and salt must have). I bag it up to snack on the next couple of days. Better than scarfing chocolate. Anyway...hand whirling the popcorn is as fun as eating it. Bonus is I know what is in my food.

I covet your drawers LOL. I have four shallow drawers, literally at the cardinal points of my kitchen. The one closest to the sink is the utility drawer (no, not junk drawer lol), the one next to the DW is for silverware, reusable straws, chopsticks, etc (eating utensils), on the left of the stove is prep, on the right, cooking. I've always had to have something else to put kitchen linens in. 4 lower cabinets (not counting the one under the sink), 4 upper, and a pantry that's barely worthy of the name. Along one wall of the breakfast nook there's a metro shelf (4'x4'x18") for the microwave, bread machine on top, and more pantry space under. Pots and pans hanging from a rack above that. My kitchen is a decent size, but very poorly laid out. I've been culling stuff, but need to get rid of more. I would love to get rid of the plastic plates and glasses that my hubs uses, but he won't let me, saying he breaks things (which he does) and so doesn't want to break my china and glasses. I know, I know, you didn't ask for all that LOL
I mostly let things air dry, but will towel dry them if they need it when I put them away.
My favourite thing is my electric tea kettle!

Dish drying? Home kitchen....air dry as much as possible, putting pots & pans out on top of the off burners to dry. Office or Community Kitchen...definitely towel dry with either my own towel (which I take home to wash) or paper towels I find in that kitchen.

My favorite thing is my set of William Sonoma White Pantry dishes. We upgraded from the Correlle after thirty years. I find that I do almost all of my work in the same space in the kitchen which is my island...it hold my sink and dishwasher but no other real storage so nothing is accessible without a step, but I let my cabinets dictate where I stored stuff...I have 3 main sets...one (the set that is most assessable to anyone and causes the least traffic jams) hold dishes and glasses on top and all the stuff you use on TOP of the stove in the bottom (pots, pans, etc.)...one set of cabinets is where I keep my baking items, my glass storage containers in the top section and all the stuff you use IN the stove in the bottom (casseroles, baking pans, etc.)...the third set are kinda by themselves so I made that set hold all my entertaining pieces...

i have two dogs and don’t like to use heavy chemicals in the kitchen or around them. i use diatomaceous earth, check amazon, in window sills, door sills, around baseboards, in the back of cabinets, behind appliances or anyplace i find an ant trail into the kitchen. good luck.

Hi Kay, I am curious if you would speak with me for a bit about your work with clients. I am interested in doing the same (post-pandemic), and would really value your insight. Let me know if this is something you are willing to do. I can provide you my email address perhaps. Thank you in advance, Hannah
