    Hi, just wondering if once built do you think the shed could be lifted and moved? Our space at side of house is 2.85m wide and shed is 2.29 wide when built. Trying to work out if we could build it first then lift into onto our base and push it back into place? Any thoughts/ advice would be much appreciated 🙏

      Hi David, yes it's not a problem to move a shed in place you want after build. however, I would recommend sliding the shed instead lifting up in case some parts might bend or snap. Shed is not very heavy, but 2 people might be required to manover.

    Does shed need fixing to the ground or will the weight of things in it be enough to hold it down?

    • @YouDaron
      @YouDaron  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Mine is not fixed, But there are some holes for that if you need it. I have some heavy stuff inside and no problem. Shed survived a few bad storms etc. and still standing strong since. Still very happy with the @ketershed

    Hi I purchased one of this shed and the panels in side the box were bent towards the bottom. Also when assembling I couldn’t click in the plastic parts which go above the panels. I don’t know why this happened. Do you reckon it could be the bent panels causing the issue? Thanks

    It would have been nice if we could actually see what you were doing inside and how it fastens together.

      Thanks for the Video! Excuse me for the intrusion, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you thought about - Mahorrla Wooden Paradise Method (should be on google have a look)? It is a great exclusive product for building better sheds and woodworking minus the headache. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my best friend Jordan after a lifetime of fighting got cool results with it.

    Hi, saw you moved the whole thing away from side fence at around 6:06 , was it due to difficulty working on the roof without side access? Thanks!

    • @YouDaron
      @YouDaron  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, yes. Just easier for us to slide in the roof panels.

    I have just finished building my 8 x 11 shed and although it is a good size for my garden and fits nicely behind my garage I am disappointed with the quality of some of the fittings. It is mostly where you have to "click" pieces together where the problems are, it is down to brute strength and ignorance that I managed to fit some of the parts.

    hi great video, i have been asked to help a family member to install a keta shed and i wanted to know roughly how long it would take to assemble and do i need two people or can one person do it on their own?

    • @YouDaron
      @YouDaron  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, Thank you. Well it took us around a day with a breaks for some food, drinks etc. Probably its around 5-6hrs job for 2 people. I recommend two people as this become much easier and some assembles might be tricky with just 1 person.

    Did you have any gaps in the roof at the top?

    How did you 'shimmy' the roof section in at 6:24sh. The instructions require the section to be partly slotted in, unfolded then completely slotted in?????. We're short of space that side so any tips would be greatly appreciated.

    • @Neddie2k
      @Neddie2k 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am having the same issue Old Rocker, let me know if you find a solution fitting the roof.

    • @YouDaron
      @YouDaron  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's been a while since we've done it, but I don't believe we used any special method other than the few points I'm making below. The roof was indeed probably the most fiddly bit of the whole project. Here's what may be helpful anyway:a/ It's a job for two. b/ One person pulls the roof section upwards from within the shed. You probably can't quite see it on the video but I was inside the shed standing on a stool pulling the roof section upwards, making sure it doesn't come out from the rails on each side with each inch we gained. My visibility was limited so we had to constantly communicate with the chap outside the shed as to what was going on. It did take a number of attempts I think (timelapse didn't quite show it.). "Shimmying" is indeed probably quite a good description of how we managed to slide the
      roof section upwards at the end.c/ The other person outside the shed pushes ("shimmies") the roof section upwards (all in sync with the "pulling" by person one from within the shed) . The key is ability to see whether the roof section is about to slide off - and stop and realign the roof position before continuing. The chap helping me out on the video is quite tall, so I guess a "normal" person will need a stool as well in order to be able to see what's going on with the roof.

      I really doubt that, this is just a simple shed with a plastic walls.

    would it be have been possible to build it on the grass and then move it ?. Where I want to put it I wont be able to get to 3 of the sides once its in final location. Is it easy to move.

    • @YouDaron
      @YouDaron  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      to be honest, shed is not as heavy at you may think, me and my friend been moving shed without struggle. You need to put good firm push but I would say shouldn't be a problem to move around on the flat surface.

    I'm considering a plastic shed like yours. I've been warned that condensation is a problem in this type of shed. Do you find you have a condensation problem?

    • @YouDaron

      Hi David, not at all. In my case is nice and dry all a time. This is maybe I never left anything "wet" etc.

      I've had a similar model (Stronghold 8x10) for about 12 years, very happy. Only issue I had was the skylight cracked after about 7 or 8 years, but I got that replaced free under warranty. No issues with 70 MPH winds, a foot of snow, etc.
