    Joshua Primo was kicked off the San Antonio Spurs for something we’ve never seen in the NBA. He is attempting an NBA comeback but does he deserve it? Which teams will actually consider him?

    Primo won’t hesitate to pull out all the stops to make a team. He’s going to play in front of teams and expose himself as a good, young talent. He’s done dicking around. Those 2” of growth are really going to help. He’s visibly excited according to reports.

    Dr. Cauthen is a highly respected professional in her field. She was hired by the team to work with players, monitoring their mental health, by evaluating both their on and off-court stress management skills.
    DeMar DeRozan’s feedback helped Pop and the front office (PATFO) recognize the importance of this aspect of today’s NBA. Spurs players speak highly of Cauthen, and I would argue that she held more value to the organization than Primo.
    In fact, once the lawsuit was settled and Primo was pushed out of the picture, there was allegedly some discourse in certain circles about the possibility of her coming back to the team in the same role. She has since opted to return to Austin to go back into private business.
    Primo was definitely the problem.

      He shouldn't be looked at as some kind of offender without proof. Black men particularly are at risk of false allegations of sexual misconduct, particularly with white women. If it's only one white woman, I'd be suspicious of the nature of the accusation.

    You answered your own question with respect to second chances, with the appropriate qualifier. Rehabilitation and redemption are thankfully basically part of our human being DNA. Now, it is up to Primo (where I was wondering which former NBA player this could be about) to make good on a second chance he is almost certain to get (if not in the NBA, then elsewhere). He is barely over 20 years of age. If he messes up, where you hope he does not, it would not take long to expose him (no pun intended), given the scrutiny he will be under.
    One ironic note, given the names we heard in the video, is that if Primo had not got into the trouble he did, and instead carved out the path the Spurs had hoped for him, they almost certainly do not finish in the position they did last year, and win the NBA lottery draft, getting what may be the next generational talent, though that, of course remains to be seen. Years ago it was David Robinson getting hurt and the Spurs falling apart, but getting Tim Duncan with the 1st overall pick.

    The league needs to come up with a rule for second chance players. If the player becomes a repeat offender then the organization that gave them the chance should be punished along with the player.

      You may as well just perma ban them at that point because if the punishment for the organisation is in any way significant then no team will ever take the risk.

    People are saying Dr. Cauthen is back with the spurs, I dont see that on the page for her bio anywhere . It does say she formerly worked with the spurs. The news reported that they settled out of court amd she dropped the lawsuit . She claimed initially that she was not seeking monetary damages but that she lost her dream job she felt because her contract was not renewed she felt bc she came forward about the alleged 9 exposures from Primo. To those stating she still works for the Spurs can you site your source. I would also like to know what she could have possibly settled for if not money seeing as she claimed she wasnt seeking monetary damages. I find it all confusing.

    Honestly, the Spurs have their reputation as a well organized franchise tarnished over the last 5-6 years. It all started with Kawhi Leonard and his injury (or how Spurs doctors treated it, which led to Kawhi demanding a trade) and then it was this. Prior to these events they were seen as a scandal-free organization defying all odds by winning 5 championships in 15 years.

      The spurs were proved right in retrospect for the kawhi situation, he and his uncle just wanted to go to LA, but that injury was accurately diagnosed, look at what's been happening to him since.

    • @yesimemoin0935
      @yesimemoin0935 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@robertpina7345 Tony Parker and Manu went to the media hinting that Kawhi was exaggerating his injury and needed to return to the team ASAP. Their media lackeys pushed a lot of unconfirmed rumors about his uncle's influence being the real reason he was sitting out. Let's not rewrite history.

    When a guy is young and tall and rich and he's doing stuff like this, you know something's seriously wrong with him because he can get a woman fairly easily (esp. in San An lol Charles Barkley). I mean, she had to be like "WTF!?" after the very first time, so it kinda leans toward him not fully being able to perceive how bad his actions were. ISure, he's a PoS for making that lady feel trapped , but I look at his eyes and I see someone who's a little slow, for lack of a better term. Makes me feel sorry for him more than hate him. This doesn't make a positive case for a comeback though, since all these things mean he's likely to re-offend.
