Gave a video like. Really liked that Spahn! You did really well on that beauty. Thanks for sharing, John
Thanks Brian!
Awesome my friend 🎉
Thanks Ken!
Great pickups, John. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Kevin!
Hi John. Thanks for all your help on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. It was a wonderful time spending it with you in the show, as that support was very helpful. That 71 Banks was really a beauty. All your pickups were super sharp cards. Talk soon my friend.
It was a pleasure, my friend! I had a wonderful time hanging out with you. Looking forward to doing it again! I'm so happy you were able to pick up some of those Jackie items!
Like given! Wow! That Banks and Rose both look under graded from where I'm sitting. All the cards you picked up present so well, eye appeal is amazing on them. Awesome and happy for you that you are having such a great National. Time to relax now...lol Thanks for sharing your experience there with us 👍👍Have a great day John ✌out
Thanks Andy! I do tend to be very picky with my vintage pickups. They need to be in a grade that is affordable to me, yet present well. Not always easy to find 3s, 4s, or 5s with good centering. But when you do they look great. The hunt is part of the fun. 😃
Didn't the Ted and the Hank have the same $400 sticker? I know you haggled down, but what made Williams the big pickup? The white back?
Yes they did. The Williams was probably my big pickup of the day because it was in a higher grade and had better overall eye appeal than the Aaron. But I love them both.
You had an outstanding National. It was nice seeing you this week.
I certainly did! Same here! 😃
Stunning Teddy Ballgame! Great seeing you at the National
Thank you! You too Josh! Wish we would have had more time to hang out. But there were so many people to see. 😃
Your National was a out standing, congrats
An awesome haul for sure
Say Hi to Wade for me,Lol
Yes it was! Probably my best overall National ever.
Great Friday pickups, John! The eye appeal on all those cards look fantastic. It was great seeing you Thursday -- enjoy the rest of the weekend there!
Thanks John! Same here! Wish we would have had more time to chat, but there were so many people there!
Definitely a successful National John! Congratulations on the great pick ups. Beautiful 67 Rose!😁 Have fun today.
Thanks Shannon! I thought of you when I saw that Rose. 😃
all i can say John is wow! after your big pick ups the first two days, I was expecting cards like the 71 banks (which is a really nice card) but then you bust out 55 Hank Aaron and 56 Ted Williams! that Aaron is one of the only three that I’m missing from his main topps issue playing days run (his rookie and the 58 card with Mickey Mantle being the others). awesome cards and have really enjoyed following your progress at the national this year. I look forward to your recap/separate videos on some of these cards and again thanks for taking us along with you.
Thanks James! Yeah, I had a few surprises left to show off. 😃 Other than his rookie, I'm down to his 57, 60, and 63. I was hoping to pick up his 63 as well, but there weren't many there and the ones that were, were either too high of a grade or too low with not great eye appeal.
You had an awesome National. Really enjoyed our conversations Brother!
We both did! 😀 Hanging out with you was definitely one of the highlights of my trip! So glad we got to know each other better.
Cleveland was very big the only cards main cards I couldn't find are the cards from 1967 certain players Jc Martin , Norm Cash
Rocky Colivitio and Mike Shannon. that Thursday I gave up and just looked at whatever peaked like Hockey cards , Baseball like Jeter cards
some Football.
nice 1971 Mr. Cub Ernie Banks , very nice 1967 Pete Rose , nice 1955 Warren Spahn , nice 1955 Homerun king , nice 1956 Ted Williams
Thanks. Did you check out the tables that had binders of vintage cards? There were also tables with boxes of single vintage cards. I thought there were a good number of dealers that had lots of ungraded vintage cards.
@@WadeBoggsFan I don't remeber if I looked through those pages but when asking dealers Wedneseday they said they didn't bring alot of commons..
Great stuff. You did well at the show and had some great pickups.
Thanks Russel. I did very well!
Excellent cards all are cards I would love to buy graded.
I just bought a Opee Chee 71 Banks a couple weeks ago .
Thank Bart! I like the 71 O-Pee-Chee cards with the different backs. One day I'd like to pick up the Yastrzemski to add to my collection.
Great pickups sir!
Thank you!
That’s a beautiful Ted Williams. You ended up with roughly a dozen nice cards.
Thank you. Yep, 11 vintage cards and the one Boggs card. Did a good job stretching out my budget.
You got some great cards with the last of your budget John! I love the ‘55 Topps Aaron. I know it wasn’t necessarily your strategy to spend your money as quick as possible, but I kinda really see the benefits of the way it worked out for you by being able to get all the pick ups out of the way and then focus on getting footage and hanging out with everyone, it can definitely get tough trying to juggle both at the same time
Thanks Joe! I definitely agree. Next year I'm not going to hold back and if I see something nice, I'll get it. It was such a positive difference being able to spend time with friends the last couple days of the show rather than try to find cards to pick up.
Heckuva haul
Thanks Andrew!
