The biggest difference between Nivea and La Mer is that the lab technicians play music to the "miracle broth."
For a more harmonious fermentation process I guess?

I 💯 get why you don't support drunk elephant, BUT...Sephora gave me a free sample of the Protini and it was ah-mazing. I can't afford their products and I have ethical concerns too BUT for my acne prone skin that gets dried out from acne products, it hydrated AND did not worsen my acne. It is hard to find a moisturizer that does not make me breakout or burn my active pimples and works well enough to hydrate my flaky skin. I literally can't even use the tiniest bit of salicylic acid without a major breakout and it is supposed to "help" clear up skin. This Protini product is actually pretty amazeballs.

Also the there is value in under-eye cream. My standard vitamin c serum is too harsh for under my eyes and makes it irritated. So I use a gentler vitamin c eye serum to prevent that irritation.
Additionally, a lot of eye creams are focused around combating fine lines and wrinkles, so I also use them on my other lines like my expression lines.
It seems to be working too because my skin looks great + healthy.

First Aid Beauty could still be cruelty-free. Their products sold in mainland China are manufactured in China. Since China only requires imported cosmetics (aka not manufactured in the country)to undergo animal testing in order to sell in China, FAB technically do not need to meet that requirement.

@@vasudhacidambi8793 Reality, where those are the actual laws. Now, any product manufactured in China that has a number of serious complaints will then be tested by outside labs at the direction of the government - testing that includes animal testing - but the brands themselves do not test on animals.
However, this is the thing that keeps me from really enjoying this channel - the double standard about "Clean Beauty" and "Cruelty-Free Beauty." There is no standard, across the board, legal definition for either and to rail against one while trumpeting the other makes me uncomfortable.
If people would just stop using the descriptor "Cruelty-Free" and instead switched to saying that they avoid brands that test on animals, that would be no problem. But throwing out "Cruelty-Free" over and over again is just creating the same issue we're now dealing with in regards to so-called "Clean Beauty" and the cycle, it just continues.

I had such high hopes for that FAB Ultra Repair cream but it just ain't love for me. The biggest thing that puts me off is that if you use too much, it's the type of product that will ball up and roll off any time you accidentally touch the area after application. Even when I have used a more scant amount, the balling up still seems to happen if you rub the product in too much, for too long. Basically have to stop when it's just barely evenly spread across the face. A more minor thing is that it vaguely smells of menthol/Vics even though there's no menthol in the ingredient list. My theory is that the smell comes from the Eucalyptus but it is a tiny tiny bit off-putting to me haha.
I'm using it on my body to use it up but then I likely will not repurchase.

Think about it this way imagine u try a new product and end up with a bad reaction. Then u contact the brand and they blame the other products u use and tell u that u have to use their own line. I’d be frustrated.☹️ I prefer to skip their products because their long ingredients list equals a greater chance for irritation

Hey Cassandra! I don’t know if you are going to this, but this is a quick question that doesn’t really have to do with the video. Yesterday I bought the honest beauty “hydrogel cream” with two types of hyaluronic acid. On the back it says exactly this “ Directions: Apply to clean, dry skin after cleansing as needed - massaging the cream onto skin helps burst the water, hydrating skin.” So since it says “ Apply to clean dry skin after cleansing” should I do what it says and apply to my face after cleanser and before everything else, or since it’s a hydrating cream should I put it in on after everything else, going into the step of a moisturizer?

Cassandra sorry this is not related but I wanna ask do you know if Imidazolidinyl Urea is safe or not if we put it on scalp or skin? There is this famous brand in my country where they use that on their hair and skincare products, is that usually for preservatives? And if it's not safe, if the products have "natural" ingredients (like usually their ingredients start with extract), will that help or it's still not recommended to use it? Thank you. Because I'm not very familiar with this ingredient
